  Tourist trap - coming from a person born and raised in Lisbon. I work near by and decided to try it because there was seating outside and the weather was pleasant. My colleague and I had the grilled salmon - one of the dishes of the day. The fish was not fresh, there was a funny smell/texture to it. They failed to understand we only wanted boiled vegetables as a side to one of the dishes. We payed 17eur per person for just one drink and the salmon. 30 meters ahead you have Adega do Tagarro - great food and half the prices. A much better option.   I had a dinner with my family and it turned out such lovely restaurant. Staffs are friendly, very helpful and seating outside on hilly side was fun too. Most of all food was great. Clam was excellent with sauce - ended up with two baskets of bread constantly dipping in and bread was good as well. Just perfectly cooked octopus with veggies was good but beef burger patty was bit burnt so couldn’t finish it. Also Portuguese beef was alright - unique sauce but it’s was bit too chew to finish it.   You know that thing when you land on the late side in a foreign country…and you wonder where the eff you’re gonna eat? Floresta Do Calhariz is your best-case scenario. Six of us stopped here because it was close to our Airbnb and honestly, we had low expectations. Within a few moments, Priya and Nirajan melted those away. Not only was the service friendly and the prices reasonable, the food was GREAT. (Specifically: the vegetable curry, grilled sea bass with garlic, and shrimps gratinad.) If the late-night dining wasn’t enough of a wonderful welcome, two hours after we paid our bill & stumbled back home, they kindly set aside mops and aprons to sell us water & wine.   Amazing service, great food, good vibes My friends and I decided to give this place a go for dinner, and thank god we did! The food was great, but let me start off with the amazing service. Our waitress, Kasum, was incredible. From the moment we sat down she was so helpful! She delivered service with not only a smile, but a happy, fun, and positive energy which made our experience so enjoyable! We can’t thank you enough Kasum, you are a credit to the restaurant! The food was great. We had a diverse range of starters and mains. The vegetarian rice with vegetables was really tasty and presented well in a little pot! The mozzarella and tomato was unreal. The chips were so fresh and yummy. We also had some cocktails which were really good too! This place was honestly great and very reasonably priced. But once again, it really was our waitress, Kasum, who made the experience so good… she really went above and beyond for us! Such a lovely woman, I wish her well.   we stumbled upon this hidden gem looking for a good and typical portuguese restaurant in a busy day. The servers were so kind and quickly found us a table . The grilled prawns in garlic sauce and chourico assado were great starters . we thoroughly enjoyed our octopus and seafood rice as well. it was way better than so called high end restaurants with a warm service and environment.   I was walking through town on a warm afternoon and stopped in for some wine. Friendly staff, a nice half bottle. Sat outside. Tables are right next to a small alley and you sit right next to it.   Nice typical food! The Floresta do Calhariz is a restaurant with typical portuguese cuisine (lots of fish meals, good meat) with good prices! Especially the drinks ;-) We had salmon which was very tasty and fresh, some bacalhau - awesome - and two dishes with meat. They were delicious! Staff was very friendly.   A small place just off the main street. The service was fast, the waiters were very friendly and did not mind speaking English. Food was served with salad and other side dishes without extra costs. However they offered olives and cheese when we sat down which undoubtedly would have cost extra, if we took it. The quality of the food was good, but not anything special.   This is a very good place for the price you pay. Obviously, if you fancy a high end dining you should walk past! I had a grilled octopus and my partner had a typical Portuguese pork with clams. The food was very well cooked and very tasty. I had a glass of red house wine which exceeded all expectations. We also had mixed starters including sardine pate, olives and local cheese.
