  First time in this restaurant and the experience was excellent. The chef owner was very friendly and professional. The have an extensive menu. They have the classic sushi dishes but also a fusion ones which adds a touch of difference. The restaurant is small so the atmosphere is cozy, and allows a more personal service. Recommended. They had just been open in this new location for 5 days. They didn’t have Sake, Japanese Beer and only cash was accepted. I was disappointed by the experience. I wouldn’t go back there again.   No way to treat a customer!!! We reserved the restaurant for New Year’s Eve with the Fork way ahead of time. But when we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they were only serving a fixed menu costing €80 which they did not bother to let us know about when or after we booked. They also tried to sell it to us that “ALL” the restaurants do the same thing on New Years Eve. This restaurant does not deserve to be open if they treat their customers like this. Do not go there!!!   I hate to leave a bad review for Gohan Sushi Fusion. They sincerely tried their best to provide good food and service however they just fell short. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option. Many of the items that were brought out at the beginning of the meal (gyoza, lumpia, croquettes) were fried dishes. The sushi rice in the rolls and nigiri was compact and not seasoned well. Throughout the meal, we had to remind them we needed more water and other drinks. We were missing a teacup that we never received even after several reminders. They started to bring out more traditional fish towards the back end of the meal. The sashimi was saved for last; we had to tell them we were done with the meal and ready for the last dish which is the sashimi. The quality of the fish and the presentation of the plates were very good. We did have a larger group (12 people) which is difficult to accommodate so I do want to give them credit for doing their best. However, for being a 5-star rated restaurant on Google, I couldn't help but feel deeply disappointed, especially because this was the last meal before parting ways with friends I wouldn't see for a very long time. For a Sushi purist, the items have far too much sauce, sugar and fried bits. The clean sensation of eating freshly prepared fish from the sea is totally lacking. Speaking of which, despite being a few minutes’ walk from the sea, this restaurant only serves two types of fish: salmon and tuna. That’s it! While some of the items are tasty, and you do get your money’s worth from the all-you-can-eat selection, this place leaves a lot to be desired.   We found this place by chance, and decided to come early to try it. We chose the all you can eat menu, which differs from other restaurants : you don't get to chose what you will eat, but the chef prepares smaller portions of many items. The service was fast, the plates kept coming and everything was colorful and tasty. The rice was perfectly cooked, the fish was fresh and well prepared : never before I ate sushis without soy sauce, but in this restaurant it wasn't needed. The waiters were lovely, the white wine was very good. Most certainly the best japanese food I've ever had in my whole life. One of the waiter even asked for milk in a restaurant nearby so I could have some in my coffee. Thank you for everything !!   We had an amazing dinner at Gohan! We did the all you can eat and tried so many rolls/dishes that were new to us. The all you can eat is a chef’s choice style where they bring a variety of dishes and you let them know how you like each dish.   Just half an hour ago we (me and two others) decided to eat here because of the good reviews, so we had high expectations. We chose the All You Can Eat option (which consists of continuously being served small and unique food platters) and before preparing the food they asked us if there was something we didn't like, so they knew what we would like and what not. They managed to surprise us every time! The food is very good and it is safe to say our expectations were exceeded and we exited the restaurant with a smile.   Gohan Sushi Fusion was the stop in Lisbon I didn't know I needed. My wife got the Kung Pao Chicken with a Gyoza starter, both of which were very good. I got the all you can eat sushi, which is different than your typical restaurant. Instead of picking rolls yourself, the chef gives you a sampler of many different rolls (I think it was 8 total for me), each with their own unique tastes. Some are more traditional, others more "western" feeling, all top-notch as far as presentation and flavor. Because you aren't picking yourself, you end up getting things you'd never try otherwise, like the rolls that include pesto or mango. I love seared salmon and there was plenty of that on the all you can eat dishes. Every single roll I had was great, and I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life. I left Gohan Sushi Fusion as full as could be, and will be talking about my experience there for a long time. Aside from the quality of our food, our server, Pedro, was also very prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful, and supplied me with a new roll just about as soon as I finished my previous one every time.   I share this experience to warn others! This place feels like a scam! The « all you can eat » option means the kitchen sends you plates of food and you tell them when you’re full. But 4 plates in and we hadn’t had a single piece of raw fish… when we finally got a roll with raw salmon in it, it was paired with mango!!! The first 3 dishes were deep fried, and after a bit of raw fish, it was just more DEEP FRIED rolls with CREAM CHEESE!! The rice was mushy, which could have been forgiven if we ever saw any actual sushi! Left a bad taste in my mouth. I couldn’t eat more I felt so grossed out by all the cheese. Waste of money. Overall we agreed that we were all disappointed.   Great Restaurant with an amazing menue. The space is pretty small which makes it seem very friendly. The 'all you can eat' seemed more like an expensive full course meal. In the beginning the server asked for preferences and then proceeded to put together different plates one after another that contained a little bit of everything from the whole menu. Every course was explained as we got it and we enjoyed all of it and could stop whenever we wanted to. The server was very attentive and helpful. There were also delicious vegetarian options.   Let me start by saying we are vegan. This was an amazing experience with chef Pedro creating many different sushi variations specially for us. Creativity, good taste and a great environment. Instead of picking from a few items in the menu (like it is often the case at non-vegan suhi joints) we were surprised by the variety the chef offered.   We had a great time at this small and intimate restaurant. The ambitious and passionate chef makes everything fresh and it is delicious. We spent almost 3 hours for the "all you can eat/ tasting" menu, where the chef brings you his creations until you are full. And as a bonus there was live music in the background.
