  Cantina LX This place deserves a lot more than the 3.9 stars it currently has. 20:43 the cantina is 1/3 full. Smells good, lots of things going on. Love the decor and the center of the restaurant a big brick oven. People look like they are enjoying their food. This is my first day in Portugal so I am not sure if service is just slower here, is waiting for someone to take my order for 10 minutes a long time? The menu has vegan and veggie options, the staff is friendly. I ordered Mushroom and Goat cheese appetizer and it was very satisfying, good sized portion of mushrooms with goat cheese and olive oil. And a Beetroot Risotto. Wow this is food, hearty satisfying with subtle and well combined flavors. Better than home made, food has that extra burnt in the brick oven flavor. I will be back. I did see other people getting the same dish a lot better. In stead of just saying sorry they started a whole discussion.   I had a terrible experience. When I arrived they promptly gave me a table and the menu, but I had to wait over 30 minutes to have a waiter at my table taking my order. I ordered a bottle of water, a starter and a main meal and I asked for the main meal to come after the starter. I waited 30 minutes only to have the water and over 1 hour for the food, that obviously came all together. Moreover, they brought me the wrong starter, but I didn't ask to get the right one, since a was so full of waiting. I wanted to get around LX Factory, but I spent so much time in this restaurant that everything was closing by the time I was out. It's a shame because the food was very good and the waiters friendly.   What a special place! I immediately fell in love with the interior. All the history that got preserved there. It’s very unique and you should really explore it. The food is good but not outstanding. Their special is a wood fire oven. Prices are quite high for what they serve. Service is not really attentive and also not as cordial as you would expect in Portugal. That's why I only rated it 4 stars. But overall definitely a place to try. Basically, the last payment on that table had these two extra items that we did no consumed. We would like to get reimburse 19.5 euros the extra money that we paid. We send email day after to email never we got answer and also phone we impossible to reach them. Cocktails were very basic mixers using flat coke and the deserts we ordered were below standards. The mousse was watered down and the pear pie was acceptable but tiny.   I’ve spent four days in Lisbon and I’ve tried all types of food (street food, Portuguese food, fancier restaurants…) and this is by far the worst restaurant I’ve tried. The area is really cool and worth visiting, with some interesting shops and buildings. However, this restaurant was very disappointing. We ordered some starters; one of them a cheese board… in which we struggled to find the cheese, as we were served literally six slices of cheese. There was more jam on the board than cheese. We were six people, we ordered bread and they brought only three slices, so we had to order more and pay over one euro for each slice. Apart from the cheeseboard we ordered some meat that was very dried. Lastly, we’d ordered some mushrooms… that never arrived. After eating the cheese board and the meat we asked about the mushrooms and they told us they’d run out of them (something they didn’t tell us when we ordered nor when they found out about it). We ordered a ridiculously overpriced wine and ended up paying 50€ for a glass of wine and two slices of cheese. Any local, not so fancy and not hipster looking restaurant will be a much better option. Além da tábua de queijos pedimos uma carne bem seca. Por último, pedimos alguns cogumelos… que nunca chegaram. Depois de comer a tábua de queijos e a carne, perguntamos sobre os cogumelos e eles nos disseram que tinham acabado (algo que não nos disseram quando pedimos nem quando descobriram). Pedimos um vinho ridiculamente caro e acabámos por pagar 50€ por um copo de vinho e duas fatias de queijo. Qualquer restaurante local, não tão sofisticado e não moderno, será uma opção muito melhor.

  First of all: The restaurant looks really nice, great decor I have to say! So for this reason, we decided to go in for a drink and some food. The restaurant didn’t look busy at all but it still took almost 10 minutes before someone came to take our order. I ordered a cocktail which got served to me quite fast and I have no complaints about it. It was tasty and refreshing. My partner on the other hand ordered the cantina lx craftbeer and even pointed at it on the drinks menu. While I almost finised my drink it took 10-15 min for the waiter to come back to him with a superbock beer which he obviously didn’t order. My partner told the waiter he didn’t order a superbock beer but the craft blonde beer and the waiter answered him by saying: “We don’t say craft blonde beer in Portugal” and then walked away. It was written on the drinks menu and he even pointed at it on the menu. Don’t get me wrong, misunderstandings can happen all the time but the fact that he just walked away????? We were so confused. And about the food. We both ordered the veal burger which consisted of one small piece of white bread, a small dry overcooked burger, one slice of tomato and some dry lettuce on the side. I’m asking this to the owner of the restaurant: In all honesty, have you ever tasted and looked at it? You can not tell me it is worth 13 euros. Estava escrito no cardápio de bebidas e ele até apontou para ele no cardápio. Não me interpretem mal, mal-entendidos podem acontecer o tempo todo, mas o fato de ele simplesmente ter ido embora ????? Estávamos tão confusos. E sobre a comida. Nós dois pedimos o hambúrguer de vitela, que consistia em um pequeno pedaço de pão branco, um pequeno hambúrguer seco e cozido demais, uma fatia de tomate e um pouco de alface seca ao lado. Estou perguntando ao dono do restaurante: com toda a franqueza, você já provou e olhou? Você não pode me dizer que vale 13 euros. Sinto muito, ainda estou dando duas estrelas pela decoração e pelo coquetel.

  It was my forth time in Cantina, the first time was there I loved the food and the space but they were clearly short on the stuff, plus I asked who was the manager because it was taking more than 1 hour to recieve the food and the manager was just standing there looking at nothing, so this was around March.   We had a terrible experience here sadly. We waited over an hour for our food before I was then told they had run out of what I had ordered and could I choose something else. The “fresh” juices and olives were terrible and tasteless, and the meat and fish had no seasoning, sauce or thought behind it. After everything, we were then charged for the more expensive main that I had to order because they’d run out of that I wanted. It is a pretty venue but it is too short staffed, with poor customer service and bad food. I would spend your money elsewhere.   A lovely, quirky little eatery with a great choice of food on the menu. We booked and arrived on time, the drinks were nice but the service was quite slow and scattered. It looked like multiple servers were serving each table, instead of having allocated table each. This really did seem to cause most of the issues. At the end of our meal we asked for the bill and it never came. Myself and the table next to us ended up going to the counter ourselves to pay.   This is one of those places that gets customers only by default. By that I mean it is the first restaurant you see when you walk into LX Factory. It took an HOUR for them to TAKE our drink order after multiple attempts to get their attention including walking up and asking them twice.   Lxfactory has a great creative and young atmosphere. This was my 2nd time at Cantina Lx. Both times I had some great modern interpretations of Portuguese food. This time it was Iberico pork cheek on a sort of wet vegetable bread (in lack of better words). The bread was a tricky option for me as I hate porridge-like textures, but there was enough crunch and flavour there for me to like it. The pork cheek melted in my mouth and was seasoned to perfection. Great wine recommendations as well. Reservation wasn't needed when I called beforehand. Prices are reasonable. Recommendeddd!! The desert we had was very different from anything we've tried before but was very good with just the right amount of sweet.   We went twice, once with eight people on a Wednesday and once with fourteen on a Saturday. First experience was excellent, we had a great waiter and the food was outstanding. On Saturday, the whole restaurant was full of people and I could sense some flaws. Several waiters were serving us which caused some confusion, and the dishes were a touch less well done. The seasoning was more plain, the tuna was overcooked.... I still give five stars especially for the Wednesday experience and recommend to go there on not too busy days.   Went here 6 years ago and fell totally in love with this place. However, my most recent visit I would like to forget as soon as possible. We ordered oven roasted codfish. Which sounded great until it was served. With emphasis on it as it was pretty hard to imagine that this hard, dry, burned and chewy chunk on our plate once swam in an ocean. Luckily it was sitting on a green mess of spinach missing any seasoning and drenched in oil with some chickpeas so it could still swim after all.   Went there on a Thursday evening, the place was packed but the service was still great. I would highly recommend the shrimp with garlic and the octopus dish to everyone without any second thoughts! Also, their red sangria was one of the best that we tried with my girlfriend in Lisbon.   Oh my goodness it was unreal. Was dubious because there wasn't an English menu displayed but thought we'd take a risk and it massively paid off. Loved the decor and the food was incredible. We started with goats cheese (a whole circle for 3.90!!!) which was mild but very tasty, a bit like a curd. For mains I had the tuna and my partner had the pork cheeks. Both cooked in the wood oven. We are both massive foodies and we're blown away when we had our first taste. We also had a jug of sangria which was nice but could have been stronger. Meals are around 13 Euros but are a decent size and beautiful flavours! Thinking about returning tomorrow night!! (Traduzido pelo Google) Oh meu Deus, era irreal. Também tivemos uma jarra de sangria que era boa, mas poderia ter sido mais forte. As refeições custam cerca de 13 euros, mas têm um tamanho decente e sabores lindos!   Food was good. Only 1 Star because it seems like a rip off. They put olives and bread on the table impliying it is included in the price of the main dish. It is not and you have to pay for it (4,20 eur). Be clear at the beginning, that you don't want olives and bread to avoid this. (Traduzido pelo Google) A comida era boa.   Really bad service and flavourless food! They forgot about our drinks and starters and then never checked on us when we got our food. Which was important because the food was extremely dry and we wanted more pesto. We had to chase them again and still they forgot. When they eventually came with more pesto the food was cold and we returned it cos we only took 2 bites and it was bad anyway... No one bothered with us after that so we had to approach the till to pay and they only offered to take 2€ off the bill! After we returned pretty much a full meal...   I live by the motto: if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. But I'll break that rule for Cantina. Greeted by a waiter who rolls his eyes seeing you're sitting in his section. Waited 1/2hr for him to come by. It took forever for the food to arrived and was wrong order. The one thing they got right was cold. By far the worst service ever on continental Europe.
