  My first Lebanese experience and it was good! We were 3 and ate the mesa for 2pax and it was more than enough. It came with starters (in the photo) and main course.   Good service (friendly and fast), great location. The food was tasty but the price of 18 eur for a simple vegetarian plate (including a small piece of haloumi), is quite steep. I expected a bit more tbh but maybe that’s just me being spoiled by the arabic (much more affordable) cuisine in Berlin. I‘ll try other Lebanese places in LIS before I return to Samuya.   Lovely cozy place, they have 3 different rooms which means the place can always carry the load. Hummus, fries & cheese rolls were tasty. The tabbuleh needed salt a bit or at least place a salt/pepper on the table for those who would like them extra.   A bit of a disappointment. Falafel salad was terrible…vinegar-y, one small piece of tomato, no cucumber or onion. A few burnt tiny shards of broken pita on top. Falafels were overcooked & dry. Drink was fabulous…lemonade with basil & honey. Not a soul in the place, but I came at an off time. Service was mediocre, friendly when placing the order, but once the food came I never saw them again. So much competition, they’ll need to pull up their socks if they want to stay open.   Used to be a nice spot for brunch bud sadly they increased the prices insanely (from 9€ with beverages to 12€ without beverages and small portions- we had to get 4 dishes for 3 people) in the past months. There is inflation but such a drastic increase is crazy. Food is good but not an interesting price anymore.   Actually, it took me some years before I made it here after I spotted the location back in the days. Now I do know − shouldn't have waiting so long. Even when considering it is really not cheap, when it comes to price-value ratio it is okay. Coming from the street the first room opposite the bar occurs somewhat dark. Since I had seen pictures of a nice back yard I asked for a table out there and the waiter led us through a little maze of indoor rooms and outside areas until we arrived at the very end and got our table underneath a lofty roof of green plants. The menu has been ready to be scanned as QR-Code on the table, but before we made to it, it also was brought in paper form. It did offered a good variety of startes, dishes to share and main courses. Actually, it was a little hard to come to a decision since it sounded all really good and delicious. In the end it has been great and I gues it will be the same with other choices with a next visit. Specifically, we went for homemade lemonade, Fattoush, and Pita willed with melted Halloumi, lentil soup and Halloumi salad. To finish our meal we ordered Turkish coffee (black, hot and bitter as it has to be) together with some pieces of Bakklava. The "Sumaya" is clearly a recommendation. O cardápio já estava pronto para ser escaneado como QR-Code na mesa, mas antes de fazê-lo, ele também foi trazido em papel. Ofereceu uma boa variedade de entradas, pratos para partilhar e pratos principais. Na verdade, foi um pouco difícil tomar uma decisão, pois tudo parecia muito bom e delicioso. No final foi óptimo e creio que será o mesmo com outras opções numa próxima visita. Especificamente, optamos por limonada caseira, Fattoush e Pita com Halloumi derretido, sopa de lentilha e salada Halloumi. Para terminar a refeição pedimos café turco (preto, quente e amargo como não poderia deixar de ser) acompanhado de alguns pedaços de Bakklava. O “Sumaya” é claramente uma recomendação.

  The food is nice and the restaurant is beautiful but we kept having to call the servers to remove plates. When we ordered more drinks the server would forget to take the empty jar back and would bring new glasses when we just requested ice. We felt like they were inattentive and unfortunately had little to no training at all. I would like to note that none of the servers were rude or not nice but we felt like if there was a training it would definitely make the restaurant better.   The place is nice and have a great terrace but the food is far away of the traditional Lebanese which I happen to know very well. Maybe slightly better than what you can get from delivery apps but really bad seasoned - all the salads and sauces were too sour and the shawarma’s meet was impossible to eat.   We went for lunch and ordered the beef filet skewers sandwich and a Quesadilla. The sandwich had the tiniest amount of beef in it. Barely a mouthful. It was mainly lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The sandwich plate also came with French fries (which I didn’t see listed as an accompaniment) which I don’t like or eat. I’d have preferred a small side salad.   Unfortunately, I would not recommend anybody going to the restaurant as it is not traditional Lebanese cuisine. The shawarma and the garlic sauce was not up to standards and did not really taste authentic. I have travelled to Beirut many times over the years and the food did not taste anything like what you get in Beirut. Bread was not fresh and the food was bland. For any muslim visitors, this restaurant is unfortunately not Halal so please save yourself some time and don’t go unless your diet restriction is Halal.   I've been there twice in the same week. And their is consistency. The food has a nice variety. The menu is well balanced with nice combos. The libaneses beer is good and cocktail too sweet. The atmosphere is great: cosy in the front room and a bit less to accommodate groups in the back room. So everyone is happy and nobody is bothered. The service is great: friendly and they know their menu. A basic but you would be surprised that it's not always like that. It's overall just really good. The price is fair I would say. It doesn't get an excellent from my end as I found the food a bit salty. We had multiple hot and cold appetizers which were really delicious and then three of us ordered the lamb dishes and one simply took a platter of mixed appetizers for his main course.
