I had really awful day at 14.02 (Saint Valentines Day) I was likely to made a reservation for me and my baby to celebrate day of Love, but I was wrong with the address( and I lost my phone in the taxi. So I was really disappointed, my 1 year old baby was nervous and hungry… the stuff with administration made everything for us to find a place for our dinner, 1. Despite of fully booked kitchen they coocked for my baby mashed potato 2. bring a baby chair for my son 3. give for us a water 4. the security man supports me on a street while I’m hope and waiting taxi driver to return my mobile phone 5. Prices are on the high side. Expect to pay €30 to €40+ per main course. The wine list represents the best of Portugal and other global highlights. Wine prices start around €40 per bottle and go up from there. Overall, we really enjoyed it. It felt like a special evening. Try and visit the bar in the basement - another gorgeous venue!   Here for my sisters birthday. Went down to the bar first for drinks, which were served really good, nice atmosphere. Great service but you pay for it as it is very expensive. Ordered 6 large G&T's, a white wine, a red , a beer and a soft drink, bill came to €217. The food in the restaurant was really good, and the service and atmosphere was great. Lovely decor, with a dinosaur skeleton in the middle, quite pricey but you get what you pay for. I had the smoked salmon for starters and the pork cheek for mains and both were delicious.   When I booked this place for my fancy night out in Lisbon with my partner, I thought we would enjoy the experience, but it was the opposite. The food was good, I have to admit that the grilled entrecôte was worth the price, no complaints. BUT the service, what a joke, seriously. I have never felt so unwanted and offended in a place before. Firstly the waitress who served us was very cold and unfriendly, she basically ignored me all night, only paying attention to my partner, and pretending I wasn't even at the table. Secondly the manager, I believe he was the manager, what a rude man! My companion left the table to go down to use the bathroom, and when he was returning to the table, a very dressed up guy pulled him at the entrance, not allowing him to return to his seat, I don't know what he had in his mind, but I thought it was just ignorance and rudeness, to force himself to explain that he was a customer. I mean, come on, you brought us to our table, and now you're pretending we're strangers? Change your attitude and be more professional. Anyways, the only 3 things worth in this place are the decoration, the cockatiels and the dessert. However, I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends, and I would never go back to any of their other places in Lisbon. By the way I was charged for 2 baskets of bread, when they only gave me 1 basked. Quer dizer, vamos lá, você nos trouxe para a nossa mesa e agora está fingindo que somos estranhos? Mude sua atitude e seja mais profissional. De qualquer forma, as únicas 3 coisas que valem nesse lugar são a decoração, as calopsitas e a sobremesa. No entanto, não recomendaria este restaurante a nenhum dos meus amigos e nunca voltaria a nenhum dos seus outros locais em Lisboa. Aliás, me cobraram 2 cestas de pão, quando só me deram 1 cesta.   By far, my favorite spot in Lisbon! I dont think Ive ever had a more tasteful steak! And the drinks were too good too! We had: steak au poive, and the lamb which comes with delicious rice! Drinks were caipirinha and something with gin and basil. When you reach they get you water and bread with butter and olives. Overall price around €120 for 2 people if you opt for the meat. Terrible service, waiter encourages you to place your order too quickly (before the first drink ordered arrives) and even has the rudeness to ask if you would like the next drink to come with the main course. Worst service I had in Lisbon. The food we ordered was pretty bad too, TOO MUCH pepper (and I love pepper). I couldn't eat the sauce and fries without mentioning processed ones! Overall: horrible!   I have visited JNcQUOI today and have been left totally disappointed with the experience. The food order has been confused and the waitress tried to persuade me that it is my original order. After that while I was still eating my dish the waiter tried to take it even when I said that I’m still having it. The presentation of the food is below average with both salad and desert just being all over the plate, the steak was drowned in sauce, and sauce is not even mentioned in the menu. No notice has been given also to me cancelling fries which come with the steak. Overall I want to give -1 star to this ridiculously overhyped place, wish I didn’t waste my time on this rubbish when there are plenty of great places at a far lower price in Lisbon.   Expensive for what you get . Seems they are out to get as much money from you as possible in the fastest time . Told them I can serve my own wine and I do not need topping up after every mouthful !   We got chorizo 30G plate, 1 cordon bleu (served with few tomato cherries and frisette salad) and a beef steak with pepper sauce (served with fries). Chorizo wasn't special at all, the plate stayed 5-10mins on the counter till served. Still okay price wise for the place. Cordon bleu seemed to be homemade but too plain. Definitely not worth its price. Beef steak with pepper sauce: the sauce was good, the steak okay, served medium instead of medium rare as requested. Small portion same for the fries. Now, the service. Entrance was good. Serving became okay. To end was bad. Even though it was a "high standard" place, there was nothing as such. Once the bill came at us, we were asked to pay the diner with tips directly included in the bill without being informed. On the way out, obviously no one to "say bye to". The lady at the counter was too busy on a cellphone to even notice us opening the door in front of her. Passing the door, a waiter came in a rush and almost bumped my partner without saying a word or even trying to give way. Maybe wearing my Rolex next time would help? A place to go once to enjoy the interior design which is really cool. Nothing else. Update on the 10th of October 2023: I tried to send you an email on the one you've provided in your reply, however, it comes back as "Address not found".   We ate here for our fancy night in Lisbon and it did not disappoint. We found the service to be wonderful - friendly and helpful. We shared the JNcQUOI salad and had the sole and lamb shoulder for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and totally worth the high price tag.   The food was delicious, but the service was amateurish at best. There are about 20 waiters for 20 tables yet none look at you. We had to wait 20 minutes to get the bill, then waited another 10 minutes to receive the wrong bill. A shame as things were great till then but service is key component of a good restaurant.   Stunning place for dinner nice seats and interiors, service was impeccable and food was unreal.   From a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected at least one thing: amazing service, while it ended up being a disaster on my girlfriend’s birthday. The food was very average, nothing special or excellent. The service was very bad: No starters brought to the table, drinks arrived after 20 minutes while the food was already there and they prepared for me an Old Fashion instead than the Negroni I’ve ordered and the waiter asked me if I wanted to keep that one (seriously?). During the reservation, I’ve mentioned that we were coming to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and they asked me if I wanted a candle on the dessert, I confirmed. Dessert served in a very rude way and with no candle, imagine the disappointment. I booked what I thought was one of the best places in town and it ended up with a great disappointment.   Sadly my fish was way too salty. It seems everything was a bit too salty for my taste. Starters were real good, though. One of our party members had a steak(the smaller one 500gr) that one was very delicious. Usually I like steaks when they are unsalted and you have to salt it by yourself fir your liking. Over here the stake was salted already but luckily in the right amount. Too bad my fish was too salty otherwise it would have been a 5 star experience.   This was our first time in Lisbon, and first time not overly planning every activity! We stumbled into JNcQUOI Asia for lunch one day (it was excellent) and saw there was another of their restaurants nearby. We didn’t have a reservation so asked to sit at the Chef’s Counter — it was perfect! Our server was so warm and friendly, and watching the team cook in the kitchen was very entertaining. Everything we ordered was spectacular — the pork “plumes” is an absolute must try. The oven rice that comes with the lamb might possibly be the best single bite of food I have ever had - it was unreal!!!   One of the best dining experiences we have had in Lisbon. Yagos our waiter was outstanding, he did not rush us listened to us, and gave us recommendations that were spot on! We started with ceviche add roasted eggplant with truffle which was outstanding. Second course Yagos suggested we split the seafood rice stew which had grouper and lobster just fresh and yum, great idea to split they serve very large portions. The wine pairing by the glass was just delicious as well. We ended the meal with a napoleon made with fresh raspberry and strawberries 😂😂 and a grappa, my husband is from Italy and always needs to end the meal with grappa!   We had been dinning all over the world but this is the first time that we have been humiliated and kicked out of our table and paid such an expensive bill. I made reservation for our anniversary dinner for 6:30. The aperitifs, the starters and the wine came at the same time, rather in a rush. At 8:30 just that we finished our main dishes the waiter arrived to tell us that we need to leave the table since “some very important guests” are coming for our table. We were stunned, but still we offered to switch the table if it is absolutely necessary. But they said they are fully booked that we can have our dessert and coffee at the bar in the basement. It was so uncomfortable and awkward for us and for our 2 guests that we felt obligated to leave the table and go down to the bar where we had to sit on stools. This was supposed to be a fine dining experience. We paid 420 euros for 4 people, excluding dessert and coffee. While we were leaving, we realized that there were still at least 5 available tables at 9:30. They removed us in the middle of our dinner just to give our table to a local customer. My recommendation is: Do not go there if you want to have a special night, since this restaurant is like a fast food location, apparently seatings are only for 2 hours. You might like to set an alarm once you start your dinner and time yourself, if not they might kick you out in the middle of your meal!!! Às 8h30, acabando de terminar os pratos principais, o garçom chegou para nos avisar que precisávamos sair da mesa, pois “alguns convidados muito importantes” estavam vindo para a nossa mesa. Ficamos surpresos, mas ainda nos oferecemos para trocar de mesa se fosse absolutamente necessário. Mas eles disseram que estão lotados e que podemos tomar nossa sobremesa e café no bar do porão. Foi tão desconfortável e estranho para nós e para os nossos 2 convidados que nos sentimos obrigados a sair da mesa e descer até o bar onde tivemos que sentar em bancos. Era para ser uma experiência gastronômica requintada. Pagámos 420 euros para 4 pessoas, sem sobremesa e café. Na saída, percebemos que ainda havia pelo menos 5 mesas disponíveis às 9h30. Eles nos retiraram no meio do jantar apenas para dar nossa mesa a um cliente local. Minha recomendação é: não vá lá se quiser ter uma noite especial, já que esse restaurante é como um local de fast food, aparentemente os assentos são de apenas 2 horas. Você pode querer definir um alarme assim que começar o jantar e cronometrar você mesmo, caso contrário, eles podem expulsá-lo no meio da refeição!!!

  Always amazing. I love popping up at the bar downstairs for a quick luxury nibble. The menu is extensive and ingredients are first class. I love the lobster roll, the seafood, the truffle pasta, and the patisserie is always good. The bar serves the best cocktails and the wine list is good. A bit pricy yes, but for a good reason!   I researched over 20 restaurants in Lisbon and this is one of two I selected. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed. The style of the restaurant including the downstairs area with the beautiful mirror settings and the library style area is so unique, the service is very attentive and welcoming and food is excellent, the decor is wild.   Had high expectations due to the reviews and high prices. Starters were ok, but completely overpriced. I was warned beforehand when i took the curry if spicy is ok. Well, it is just sweet, no spices at all. Overall, an indian dish, but any indian restaurant can make better curry taste. Service was ok, but a little arrogant. Atmosphere is nice.   100% you have to eat and experience JNCQUOI in Lisbon, Portugal. We over ordered because the menu was so mouthwatering and what we saw on the tables of the other guests had us so excited to try the cuisine here. I had the cod which was perfectly cooked, plated and served for me to eat with absolute satisfaction. We shared plates and enjoyed everything to the last bite. The staff and chefs were great, attentive and very kind. We spoke English, Spanish and tried our broken Portuguese with a little embarrassment. Highly recommend JNCQUOI and if you live or frequent Lisbon look into the membership they offer. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the great experience.   Hit the bar here & enjoyed the decent service! Not to mention the world class cocktails! Really top drinks & felt they & the service was actually worth the money. However they’ll not get 5 stars because even tho the majority of people in there were nicely dressed & presentable they had let a couple of very casually dressed groups of guys in. I know it’s the afternoon session which is more laidback but…in one of the best restaurant/bars in town having a smart casual dress code would be nice 👍 Don’t let groups of guys in tracksuits in!   For a Thursday night here in Lisbon…the bar was PACKED!! We didn’t have a reservation (you can walk-in, but make a reservation if you can) so that last minute idea to go cost us an additional 30min wait time on top of the wait for our food. Since we didn’t have a reservation for the restaurant, we were told the bar was the next best thing. You can still order food at one of the many side tables around the bar. There is certainly an ambiance that eludes to money + class here. 🤷🏽‍♀️ *shrugs* Honestly, I love it! There are beautifully dressed people in expressive conversation in many languages with raised glasses clinging as toast to “the good life” fill the air. It took quite a while for someone to seat us, but the vibe was buzzing and the service was overall is pretty good. We had the fish soup — divine✨ A vegetable pasta — terribly bland (not shown) A wonderful Reserved Red wine 🍷🙌🏽 And their Dinosaur Dessert 🍨✨ (super sweet but very yummy) If we didn’t have to wait as long and if the main dish (pasta) was better, this would have been a 5-star experience.   Really enjoyed this restaurant! Excellent food and excellent service. Beautiful and elegant interior. The food is expensive but definitely worth the price. For starters we had the Burrata Dop and JNcQUOI Salad with Alascan king crab. As a main course the Shoulder Tender and Jncquoi Veal Cutlet. The meat in both dishes was very tender and delicious. As a dessert we had the Traditional Portuguese Sponge Cake, this was not sweet and I wouldn't order that again. However the other dessert, the Dinosaur’s Drool made of: Chocolate mousse, caramel toffee, cookie crumble, creamy chocolate ganache, whipped cream, chocolate crumble pieces was so good. I couldn't stop eating it, even though I was full. The service was polite, welcoming and warm. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely return again.   Lovely experience, nice attentive staff. Be aware that the octopus is very tough. It was so tough that we couldn't cut it with regular dinner knives. The other dish that we ordered, Duck Confit, was perfect. So was the wine. I'm not sure if the kitchen was having an "off" night or if the octopus was precooked or not tenderized enough, but it was like trying to eat rubber.   We are frequent visitors to Lisbon and are big fans of jncquoi…BUT this experience yesterday has turned us quite cold about the quality of the place. We usually go twice when we come here. This time, we cancelled our second booking given a bad experience: 1) the hostess at the door was lovely but the waiter/waitresses were borderline rude…uninterested and frowning 2)the food which was exceptional before has become banal…their sole was top, it became dry and the asparagus tasteless 3) other dishes were not up to the rich pricing … 4)one salad which was supposed to have fresh crab had only small pieces of crab and a ton of lettuce …nice dressing but not worth the price success seems to have hurt the place as the service has become nonchalant and almost rude. Overall I think the chef is excellent perhaps but the ingredients were subpar Most importantly: horrible attitude by the staff (except the hostess) May give it another chance one day, but for now it fell way short.   The place itself is amazing, worth a quick peak, and definitely lovely to spend an evening at. However the food is mediocre, the service so-so, the staff doesn't seem to know the difference between vegan and gluten-free. They served a dessert containing milk because it's gluten free so by definition vegan, right? I went there twice to give them another chance. I'd asked for a table at a window a week in advance, but when we arrived, it wasn't available, 'sorry, too many bookings.' When we were leaving 2 hours later there were still tables at the window available. BTW, the place is FREEZING. Wouldn't recommend and definitely won't return. Avoid, there are some really amazing places in Lisbon with maybe less fancy décor, but fantastic food and service.   Overall it’s a fun place with impressive food. The staff was very helpful and service minded. The really big minus with this place is the menu system. If you go to a restaurant where some of the dishes are priced at over 150 euros, it’s extremely irritating to spend the first 20-30 minutes just to navigate through an app to try to get an overview of the food. I’m not sure if they have this menu app because of COVID, but why don’t just print it out on papers? Another thing that made the restaurant feel a little bit cheap was that we got one-use chop sticks, the same kind as you get with takeout food.   I went about two weeks ago and I wasn't going to write a review but it's on my mind so I am. First our reservation as placed over the phone but for the wrong place. Then we could never have a consistent person serving us and our items were taking longer than anyone else's to reach our table. Then we are leaving they charge every ticket for a bottle of water. There were 5 tickets we did not have 5 bottles I think we had one. Their card machine is down we are rushed from our table to leave due to the card machine being down so we can pay at the front as we leave. Due to the card machine being down one person from the group pays in cash at the table. We leave and the next thing we know one of the servers is chasing us because we hadn't paid our whole bill. Good thing we had the paid tickets. The drink I had was nice and the fries okay but it's not worth it for real. There are places with way better service that offer a lot more in Lisbon. The reception to the restaurant was great, really good service. Unfortunately, that impression quickly changed when we had to experience rude and harsh service by our waitress, she was not courteous at all. Now to the food: Partly very delicious, but nothing too special. Be aware that the portions are pretty big! I would recommend not to order too much at once. I ordered a fish soup ($18) which surprisingly came with a lot of noodles. What bothered me the most was that the noodles took over the biggest proportion of the dish, whereas there was definitely not enough fish on the plate. Afterwards, we ordered the King prawn. My lobster and seafood rice was also over seasoned with salt. There was only one piece of lobster claw meats and I would expect more for the price tag it carried.   Really outstanding spot. Beautifully decorated and a New York vibe, this place is worth the visit. The menu is actually quite large and the wine list is impressive. Spent 30 mins there and then went back upstairs for dinner. Again, a perfect setting and great vibe considering we were relatively early at 7pm. Food was beyond impeccable; the truffle spaghetti and the mushroom and pork risotto were both absolutely delicious! Bit on the pricey side but 1 shared starter and 2 mains plus a bottle of white wine came to €100, which is agreeable considering the perfect setting and impeccable service.   1st time - Very nice and upscale place, the decor is great and the staff very welcoming. We had the prawns and oisters and a roasted vegetables salad. Everything was great. I highly recommend. 2nd time - I had to edit the review. The cook prepares food with bare hands and touches everything...surfaces...machines... The waiters go back and forth and ignore clients and only talk amongst themselves...they serve you tap water and pass it on for quality water...the avocado salads were passable at least...with only 1/4 of an avocado per salad if that much...we won't return!   Well worth a lunch visit, portions are large & and you can easily share, decor bright & airy. Spot TV presenters, families & business men all enjoying the friendly atmosphere & don't let the doorman put you off having a great meal in the main dining room or a snack at the bar downstairs.
