  Had a great night here with my husband. We had 2 shrimp tacos, 2 sardine tacos, 2 codfish bao buns and a crab burger along with green wine! The servers were a great help , they helped us choose the right wine by giving free taste of each green wine brand they’ve had. The food and the wine were all very delicious. The decoration is very cute and minimalistic. The vibe inside is cool and effortless. You don’t need to do much when the food is that delicious. If you have had it all (traditional Portuguese food, fish, cod, meat, chicken and all, you can try this restaurant for its experimental peru and asian fusion cuisine. You won’t be disappointed!   I was in Lisbon with friends and we ate at Peixola one evening. it was such a great dining experience. The staff are lovely, the menu is small and perfectly formed, the space is warm and inviting. There is a central bar with lots of seats, but also a few tables. We started with prawn tacos with guacamole and salsify chips. They were delicious, but quite small (probably should've ordered some more)! For main course my friend and I both had corvina wrapped in nori with miso and pak choi, which was amazing. Our friend had the linguine nero with scallops and said it was excellent. We shared two desserts: apple crumble and caramel petit gateau with raspberry ice cream - both incredible. The lovely waitress gave us a free Ginjinha (a cherry brandy), which is a Lisbon speciality. A great dining experience, and highly recommended.   We have had dinner here twice during our short visit in Lisbon. Beautiful food, good selection of wines ( also by glass) and attentive service. We had ceviche, soft shell crab brioche, ink linguine and cod the first time. And then we came back. I tried pica pau tuna ( very good) and then we had octopus from the new menu. EXCELLENT.   We went to this restaurant to get dinner yesterday. The restaurant looked really welcoming and cozy, yet very modern and elegant which is why we went in. Despite not having a reservation we got a table, the staff was very friendly! We got a place in the back, and we could look directly into the open kitchen which I loved. The chef seemed to have an eye on every dish, giving it it’s last finishing touches. We ordered bao with codfish, linguine with scallops and codfish with wasabi purée. For desert we had a caramel cake with raspberry ice cream. I would recommend every dish we had! Everything was perfect, with several layers of flavor and texture. I have never tasted such a perfectly balanced dish. The ambient is perfect. Even the plates match the color theme of the restaurant. The chef even came out to serve us on of the dishes, which I liked. The music fitted in with the vibe. Overall it truly was a perfect eating experience and I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant when in Lisbon. Couldn’t have been any better!   This restaurant tries to pass off as fine dining with their minuscule portions but the flavor of the food is just regular. The restaurant interior is beautiful and service good. The dishes were photogenic but nothing special. My “taco” was so small I almost laughed. It was gone in one bite and so mundane to the tastebuds that immediately afterwards I was unsure if I had in fact eaten it or not. I enjoyed my linguini but wished it was more flavorful. Despite being a small woman I left feeling malnourished. I prefer BicaSan in the same area which has similar prices and small portion size but at least there you get a much more memorable flavor experience.   We LOVED Peixola!! It was by far the best dining experience of our 4 days in Lisbon! Sitting at the bar amongst other diners was very fun, and very helpful in knowing what to order!! We ordered several of the starters to share amongst 3 of us and it was a great way to sample their menu, which we found creative and delicious!   A truly well kept secret! With this level of food and service there should be lines of people trying to get in. The combinations of the main courses are playful and work wonderfully together, and I have to give special praise to their signature dessert of Petit gateau of Caramel.   First things first: absolutely amazing experience! The waitresses and waiter are super friendly, they made me feel at ease during my whole stay! The food is splendid! The oysters I would definitely recommend. The flavours on the octopus taco and the Black Tiger shrimp main dish were both really on point!   Probably the most underrated restaurant in Lisbon - very surprised to see no queues for this place at dinner time. Would urge people in the area to have a go at Peixola.   Made a last minute reservation on the phone for a party of 3. The restaurant is a unique 30 seater bar with a few tables mixed in. Tasted a bunch of entrees along with a bottle of Vinho verde and their house cocktail. Everything was fresh and delicious. The wait staff were 3 lovely ladies that were hustling hard between waiting tables, mixing drinks, and running food.   I've been a few times now and eaten everything on the menu apart from the rissoto. And I've come to the conclusion that the starters are great and the mains kind of suck. 3 of them have the "truffled" mash which doesn't go well at all with any of the dishes it's with. And then apart from the linguini which is good everything else is "meh". But the starters are great though. So more of that!   We found this restaurant completely by accident while wandering around trying to find somewhere for dinner. The menu and the decor drew us in and we were not disappointed! Probably the best meal we had in our four days in Lisbon. Went for a selection of small plates/starters to try as much as possible, and sat at the bar you can see the chefs putting it all together with care and attention. I wasn’t a huge fan of the tuna pico pau but it didn’t deter from my experience. Also don’t skip the espresso martini!   My favourite restaurant in Lisbon. Perfect to go with a friend or on a date and sit at the counter. The service is five stars and the food is delicious. Quite unique style, you will find dishes from multiple countries with a modern (and sometimes Portuguese) twist. Maybe my favourite is the soft-shell crab and the shrimp dishes. I definitely recommend trying and sharing different dishes. The white Papa Figos wine will be a great pair for your food.   I came here to try the Peruvian ceviche and had a great surprise. First, the atmosphere of the place is really nice. It has an original setting since most of the seats are in a big bar in the middle of the restaurant. The are few tables around. The food was amazing. I ask for the Peruvian ceviche first. I noticed that it was not as a traditional Peruvian ceviche so if you are lion king for that, avoid that dish. But it was good, I could taste the freshness in the fish. Then, we ask for the oyster mushrooms risotto and the linguini Nero with scallops. Those dishes were breathtaking, they deserve 6 stars. We asked for green wines to drink. Since we never heard of this type of wines, the waitress makes us try before we order them which I think was really nice. The wines were really good. Prices were ok. The place has not low prices but I would say is really good in relation with the food quality. Portions were not big or small.   What a perfect little restaurant. All things seafood, tapas style! Everything was super fresh and delicious, the Peruvian Ceviche and Spanner Crab Burger in particular were exceptional. So many places get crab rolls/burgers wrong so I was hesitant to order it, but so glad we did as it's the best we've ever had. The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful, it almost looks like a sushi train but with terrazzo style green benches. The wait staff recommended a beautiful white wine, but the cocktails also looked great. Wait staff in general were very lovely, great energy.   The tacos were my favorite, and the ceviche was nice too. I found the squid ink pasta a bit too salty at the end for my taste, but I really liked the large orange chip-thing (reminiscent of a jumbo lobster or shrimp chip snack from the asian grocery store).   I was just passing by, the place probably was just opened so I took the chance and I had a seat. The people was realy nice and ready to help me with the menu. I had 2 tacos 2 main dishes A dessert and 3 glasses of wine. Total of 75 euros aprx that is decent in my concern.   We’ve eaten at a variety of fancy/modern restaurants and old fashioned tascas during our 3 day lisbon visit and in the end this was the best meal we had. The dishes were all genius modern twists on portuguese classics beautifully presented (the sardine tacos were phenomenal).   The food is gorgeous. To begin with, we ordered peruvian ceviche that was great, and shrimp tacos that are small (though I recommend to order 2 (8 euros, 1 is 4,5) and are also marvelous. Then I ordered a crab burger which was very good but I ate enough one for my self. Then we ordered linguinis and we had an italian and said that was very good so we can say the food was great. We ordered a series of starters rather than the whole meal, each one more delicious and complex than the last. The chefs managed to pack an incredible amount of flavor into such tiny plates.   Peixola is my favorite fish restaurant in Lisbon so far, I've been here many times and I've never been disappointed. It is nice especially for couples as you can sit at the countertop. My favorite dish here is the Corvina with pak choy, but you can't really go wrong with anything in the menu, every dish is absolutely delicious. It is really interesting the way the restaurant is laid out, not the traditional tables but a key shaped bar with bar stools. Really different and really effective.   We went for dinner, and enjoyed it. The food & drink was good, as was the service. The ambience was fun with the wrap around bar setup, and we didn't mind the tight quarters - it is worth mentioning though, because you'll be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. It's a young vibe for sure and the average age of the clientele hovering around 30 seemed to reflect that as well. The subtraction of one star is due to my perception of the value offered for the price - it seems to me that there are simply better values around. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but the flavors delivered aren't exactly mind blowing, and if you closed your eyes I could probably convince you that you were eating some sort of a fish fry or fish stick with some of the battered fish, and the tempura fish taco tasted like a fish taco. It was good, but it just seemed like he price probably didn't deliver quite as much value as some places.   Our hotel recommended this spot, and after seeing all the rave reviews we were very excited for dinner. However it was a disappointing experience for us. The tacos that we ordered tasted the same. Neither of us could taste the octopus in the octopus taco. The sardine didn’t go well with the taco garnish nor the taco shell. The tiger shrimp dish was around 17 euros and there were only 3 shrimp, and an overwhelming amount of unnecessary truffle sauce/garnish with nothing to eat it with. The shrimp didn’t taste very fresh. The ceviche wasn’t great either. The caramel dessert was the best part of the whole meal. Overall the dishes were disappointing and so overpriced.   This evening just felt right. The place was fairly empty when we came in early in the evening and was packed right when we left. Since you’re sitting at a bar you do notice throughout the whole thing how the personnel is interacting with the customers and they‘ve been nothing but extremely attentive, chill and kind, whether there’s 6 people in, or almost 20. Seats are comfortable, you get to try several wines before deciding on your chosen one, and the food is just amazingly tasty — shoutout to the ceviche and tuna tartare especially (: Bonus mention for gluten-free peeps: Peixola doesn’t have a glutenfree menu, but you can eat the vast majority of the dishes. Nicest part: the waiters at no point made us feel like we where inconveniencing them, which happens so so often when you simply ask about allergens. Can only recommend this place!   Was here on our last night in Lisbon and to be honest I am really amazed about the food quality. The combinations were interesting and very delicious. For starters we got the tuna tartar. For my main dish I ordered the oyster mushroom risotto with nori seaweed powder. I recommend it, it was 5/5. My mom got the Tuna Bitoque with sautéed rapini she also really liked it. The fish was cooked perfectly and the vegetables had a nice texture. My dad got the Spaghetti Nero with Scallops. He was also amazed how fresh the scallops were. The staff was super kind and nice. We had a really nice conversation. The atmosphere itself is comfortable. Because of covid they didn’t sit customers next to each other. This was something I didn’t see in Lisbon and was glad that this restaurant tried its best to have a safer environment. Overall I think it is an amazing place. I am thinking of coming back next time when I am here in Lisbon.   Absolutely loved the food, belongs to the best restaurants we’ve been to in Lisbon. Highly recommend the octopus taco and the ceviche for starters. The service was out of this world good, we had such a nice evening with great wine recommendation, food talk and simply delicious food. The place itself looks like an empty swimming pool, which creates an arty but cosy atmosphere. There aren’t too many seats so better make a reservation on the weekend.   By far the best culinary experience we had in Lisbon. We went twice during our 5 day visit. All dishes we tasted were packed with flavor and beautifully presented.   Aesthetic place, amazing service by two waitresses who manage the entire restaurant (the restaurant is designed around a bar in the middle) and great selection of seafood dishes. High quality ingredients and some dishes are fabulous (definitely try the caramel fondant dessert, the ceviche was also special), others were not fully to our taste (the scallops were combined with cold salad and radish).   I have sometimes rated places highly and given them 5 stars, more often than not because of perceived value for money. After having eaten at the Peixola only once I wish I could redo my entire scale of ratings, or even give it a 6. My meal there, three courses consisting of the shrimp taco (taco de camarão), the seared tuna (bitoque de atum), and the barley risotto (whose Portuguese name I do not remember) was at least one of the top five meals I have ever had. It was simply outstanding from start to end, with flavours so sublime and delicate it is hard to describe. Add to that superb service and prices that are very affordable and you end up with one of the best, if not the best, restaurant experiences I have ever had. Very highly recommended.   We found this place by just walking into it. It was funny, because we had called almost 50 places and all of them were full. Who would have known Thursday night in Lisbon could be so full! The food at Peixola was amazing, and you could see all the hard work the chefs were doing and it really was reflected in the food. Dessert took a bit but they had told us that so we were fine.
