5 / 510/04/2024 à 20:57Fantástico! Para entrada experimentámos Papadam com molhos de entrada - molhos esses que estavam belíssimos! Adorei em particular o de gengibre e alho mas também os chilly Indiano, molho doce de tamarindo e iogurte com menta estavam divinais. Para pratos pratos principais escolhemos Chicken Tikka e Lamb Tikka jalfrezi. Ambos estavam cheios de sabor e muito bem confecionados (o borrego delicioso, e adorámos o molho que acompanhou o frango, tanto que tivemos que pedir uma 2a dose desse molho). Normalmente não pedimos arroz mas foi-nos recomendado o arroz Kashmiri Pulao e concordo que conjuga muito bem com os pratos escolhidos. Toda a experiência foi fantástica. Talvez recomendasse que tivessem mais escolhas de vinho, gostava de ter experimentado conjugar com um espumante da Bairrada talvez :) Muito obrigado!!

Deliciosos bhajis de cebola com tamarindo, gengibre e alho, pimenta e cebola e chutneys raita de menta. Tudo isto e algumas bebidas custaram 35€. Ficaríamos felizes em voltar. (Original) Quiet when we visited (early evening in January), but we were given a friendly welcome. Excellent jalfrezi and dal makhani. Delicious onion bhajis with tamarind, ginger & garlic, chilli & onion & mint raita chutneys. All this and a couple of drinks came to €35. We would happily come back.

Os pratos eram todos bem condimentados e cheios de sabores encantadores e os pães nann eram finos e leves. (Original) Just come back from an amazing meal at this place. Have to say the staff were so welcoming and went above and beyond. Have had many curries in my time and this is up there with the best. The dishes were all well spiced and full of lovely flavours and nann breads were thin and light.... What a treat 5 star..... Thanks for lovely food and many family memories will definitely be back that's for sure.

O frango com manteiga e o tikka de frango eram nossos favoritos. Melhor estacionar perto da marina e subir a pé. (Original) Delicious food, small but cozy restaurant and friendly staff. Restaurant is on a busy pedestrian street in Alvor with lots of other restaurants and bars. The butter chicken and chicken tikka were our favs. Best to park by the marina and walk up.

As entradas que comemos foram samosas de frango, tikka de frango e Bhaji de cebola, todas super saborosas. Os molhos que acompanhavam os poppadoms eram agradáveis e picantes - exceto o de iogurte. Os caril que comemos eram frango com manteiga (super gostoso), frango tikka jalfrezi, camarão jalfrezi e frango sag (o melhor que já comi - e já comi muito)! Alho naan foram ótimos, assim como o arroz de cogumelos. Você pode ter qualquer tipo de tempero picante. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos - não poderiam fazer o suficiente por você. Viemos a Alvor muitas vezes nos últimos 15 anos e passamos pelo restaurante sem pensar duas vezes, mas com certeza voltaremos. O restaurante fica na rua principal em frente ao italiano. Realmente recomendo este lugar, você não ficará desapontado! (Original) Second time in a week we have visited Namaste! Both visits the curries were amazing. Starters we had were chicken samosas, chicken tikka and onion Bhaji, all were super tasty. The dips that came with the poppadoms were nice and spicy- apart from the yoghurt one. Curries we had were butter chicken (super yummy) chicken tikka jalfrezi, prawn jalfrezi, and chicken sag (best one I have had - and I have had a lot)!! Garlic naan were great as was the mushroom rice. You can have any type of spice heat. Staff are very attentive- couldn’t do enough for you. We have come Alvor many times over the last 15 years and have walked past the restaurant without another thought but will definitely be back. The restaurant is in the Main Street opposite the Italian. Really recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!

(Original) Came from London with my boyfriend and we’ve been a bit hesitant about trying food in the area as everything seems to be washed down for the europeans. However, this place is amazing! Better than some of the restaurants I’ve had in London. When you go in the restaurant looks a little run down and rough but please try the food it is amazing. Staff were so lovely and kind and for 2 mains 2 sides we paid less than 30 euros which would of been one main in London. You have to go here!

Os preços são muito razoáveis e a comida foi servida muito rapidamente. (Original) This place is absolutely deserving of its rating and I’m very surprised that it wasn’t completely packed on a Saturday evening. The food was extremely flavorful and is easily the best Indian food I’ve had in Portugal. Very centrally located in Alvor. Prices are very reasonable and the food was served quite quickly.

(Original) India on it's best .. it's in the small things that are the differences because nearly all india restaurants have the same menu ( and atmosphere ). It starts with the great sauses which comes with the papadum .. just more attention then normal. We tried the hydrabad chicken biryani .. a dish i remember from my trip to india. O cardápio tem um toque familiar, além de alguns pratos novos, o atendimento é rápido, excelente e atencioso. As costeletas de cordeiro tandoori eram algo diferente, e sendo costeletas de bom tamanho, além de temperadas com tandoori, eram fabulosas, servidas em uma placa de ferro escaldante! A atenção aos detalhes ficou evidente pela bela apresentação e pelos vegetais frescos e cebolas habilmente cortados que acompanhavam todos os pratos que comíamos. Não tenho dúvidas de que Namaste veio para ficar e vale a pena uma visita. (Original) Newly opened sister restaurant to the fantastic Indian Garden also in town, Namaste offers a smaller venue on the main ‘bar street’ of Alvor. The menu has a familiar feel, as well as some new dishes, the service is prompt, excellent and attentive. The tandoori lamb chops were something different, and being good sized chops as well as being tandoori spiced were fabulous, served on a sizzling iron plate! The attention to detail was evident by the beautiful presentation and artfully cut fresh vegetables and onions accompanying all the dishes we had. I have no doubt Namaste will be here to stay, and is well worth a visit.
