  Hands down best restaurant in the Algarve. As vegans we found it really hard to eat in the region but this place not only has a lot of vegan options, but they taste so fresh. The flavours were always well balanced and never banal, especially the tapas. We were blown away by the grilled lion mane mushroom and the lemon tart. An unexpected surprise, we went there twice in a row to try those again. The personnel was so friendly and joyful, it made the experience even greater. Definitely recommended.   We stumbled across this restaurant one evening, and that evening happened to be my birthday evening. We did not have a reservation. However, the host was kind enough to give us a seat by the bar. I must say we quite enjoyed the seat at the pavilion! The host was very friendly and the food was exquisite!! Definitely recommend it to anyone !!   I arrived in Olhaõ on Friday morning and stumbled across Cha Cha Cha. After walking around for a bit longer I decided to come back and see if they had space for me. Sonia was incredibly hospitable and put together a table for me outside at the last minute. As a solo traveller I really appreciated the attentiveness and warm welcome. I had asked if there was a bookshop in Olhaõ but as there sadly isn't, Sonia asked if I'd like to borrow a book to read from their cookery book selection to relax with whilst I ate with them. I had three of the smaller dishes, bread and the rice pudding cheesecake - all accompanied with the Cha Cha Cha white wine. All very delicious! Especially the warm white beans with sheep cheese, one of the best dishes I've eaten! After this experience I decided to chance it on the Saturday night and see if they had a table free. They very kindly found me a spot next to two wonderful women, who I ended up drinking wine with and having lovely conversations with our tables pushed together. Comi três dos pratos menores, pão e cheesecake de arroz doce - tudo acompanhado com vinho branco Cha Cha Cha. Tudo muito delicioso! Principalmente o feijão branco quentinho com queijo de ovelha, um dos melhores pratos que já comi! Depois dessa experiência resolvi arriscar no sábado à noite e ver se tinham mesa livre. Eles muito gentilmente me encontraram um lugar ao lado de duas mulheres maravilhosas, com quem acabei bebendo vinho e tendo conversas adoráveis ​​com nossas mesas juntas.   Me and my hubby had the pleasure of finding this absolutely gem of a restaurant. It was so good we went twice during our little break. The food is superb, everything we had was delicious and of a very high standard. I would dare to say, it was one of the best meals I have had! Not only is the food amazing, the staff were so friendly and charming, we couldn’t have felt more welcome. Almost like going to family for dinner. The restaurant itself is lovely and has a fantastic atmosphere, a gorgeous place to have lunch or dinner. We will definitely return to Olhao just to go back to Cha Cha Cha and hopefully see the Sonia and everyone else once again.   unfortunately the dining experience was sobering. we reserved more than a week in advance as the place is hyped and busy and when we rocked up unannounced, we were turned down rude-ish before we ordered the gazpacho creamy burrata, the shrimp cocktail with japanese mayo, black pork chorizo with egg and grilled courgette with honey ricotta. and for drinks we had the raspberry kombucha with vodka and mint honey lemonade. drinks were fine. but the food..... was overall bland. all dishes missed taste and flavor.   Me and my wife visited here on Tuesday, we were lucky enough to get a reservation in the morning by messaging on google. You must reserve a table in advance. We saw so many people turned away at the door. Not surprising the food, drink, service and atmosphere was brilliant. We went for two small plates and then the tuna steak and black pork for the mains, both were delicious and very fresh. Loved it here and recommend it to anyone. Rather have a few dishes on the menu and put passion and love in them (and making them), then offering two dozens of starters etc that are just not really worth it, nor worth the money. I had my doubt when they said everything is fresh from the market today, as that is simply impossible and the tuna in the tuna salad was definitely a day or two old.   This restaurant is fantastic. Called in for lunch on Wednesday 6th September. Quickly seated inside, lovely quirky interior. Waitress was brilliant with menus and we made our choices. The food was absolutely delicious -aubergine, figs, lentil stew with prawns and red pepper humus. This was accompanied by an absolutely cracking Rose wine that is unique to the restaurant.   This is an absolutely gorgeous bar with great decor and atmosphere! The staff were super friendly and squeezed us into an indoor table at 7pm even though we didn’t have a booking. Food was really lovely, well presented and tasted great! Also tried port and tonic for the first time which was served with a gorgeous spoon. Only negative was that the portion for the aubergine dish was quite small (only two thin slices for €5) otherwise absolutely perfect and the best meal of our holiday! The price was really worth it; it cost us €40 for drinks, appetiser, 4 tapas and an espresso freddo and we we’re stuffed! They make their own wine and have a fantastic selection of vegetarian options on their menu. I particularly enjoyed their creamy bean dish and satay oyster mushrooms!   A fantastic meal. Our most expensive mean in Olhao, but also our very best. Which is a worthy prize as there is a great selection of restaurants and very good food in Olhao. We could not fault any of it. From the attentive service to the fantastic food, to the charming atmosphere.   We were recommended Chá Chá Chá by our hosts while staying in Quelfes. Kevin kindly fitted us in for lunch at short notice, and we are so happy he did! It was our best meal of the holiday. An amazing array of inventive dishes using seasonal and local ingredients, with their own delicious wines. Began and wrapped up my olhão tour here for a good reason — food is amazing (the vibe is modern european, reminded me of my experience at London’s BRAT, albeit less stuffy and waaaay more homey), owner and his crew are beyond friendly even though they’re all incredibly busy, and the place is just the cutest.   We were drawn to Cha Cha Cha on a wander through Olhão looking for somewhere to have dinner. We got lucky with someone just leaving because at 8.30, even on a Monday evening in May, it was basically full. We had the most wonderful meal - delicious, fresh ingredients that were beautifully presented without being pretentious and without pretentious pricing either. Lovely staff, a great atmosphere and a meal to remember for sure! We have recommended to our parents to come when they stay in Olhão next week!   What can I say apart from excellent. One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Food outstanding service 2nd to none. Host and staff so friendly cheerful welcoming. The Atmosphere relaxed happy. Chefs talented, the use of ingredients every mouthful was bursting with flavour. Wonderful menu. Inventive creative without being pretentious. Or being expensive, seriously for what we got I actually thought it would’ve been a lot more. Very very reasonable and ample. No wonder you have to book. Who needs to go to a Michelin starred place where you can find somewhere like this. ( never been to one why should I. You know what you can tell when there is passion and people take pride in what they do and that certainly come across here ) Hopefully I will be lucky enough to be able to return and eat here again in the future. I wish when I was younger I found a place like this to be trained as a chef and work in. I maybe have stayed in the trade.   We stayed in Olhão only for one day. We found this place on google maps and firstly would like to go there by judging only reviews. When we stopped at Cha Cha Cha and saw so many people celebrating their time, eating amazingly looking dishes, we already knew that this is what we need at this only night in Olhão. Waitress was lovely, they treat us like family. Despite it was late and kitchen was to close at 9pm, they prepared for us delicious preto porco and tuna steak. Highly highly recommend!!!   A friend of ours recommended this spot in Olhão, and we decided to try it. The first time we were there, Kevin and Sonja took such a great care of us that we had to go back several times. Summer nights at the street tables are fantastic, but the bistro-like indoor tables are very inviting for a romantic tête-à-tête with your significant other. Definitely a regular spot for us.   As I read in other reviews, we and many others were treated disrespectful because we didn’t order a full menu. Why do you have tapas on the menu?? Its all about the money. You can feel that. The lady did here best to make us, and other families, not feel welcome. Our plates were on the table in 15 minutes so the table was free for new customers and more cashflow. By the way.   Me and my girlfriend have explored restaurants in Olhao for lunch and dinner, Cha Cha Cha was a place that we kept passing since we our hotel was closeby, i dont leave reviews but for this occasion i feel like i actually want to, the service given to us was so warming, charming and generous which is rare nowadays and the food was delicious with memorable taste, presented with care in detail and overall experience has definitely left a mark on us. Kevin, the owner is a very experienced quality food caterer, who - many years ago - fell in love with this town and its choice of fresh food at the market halls. Then there is also Sonia, a very charming and caring lady, who seems to love her job, attending to her guests, tremendously.   I enjoyed both lunch and dinner at this wonderful restaurant (that also has a gluten free cafe tucked around the corner!). The owner and staff were kind, informed, nurturing and made me feel special at every moment. The restaurant atmosphere is magical both inside with its beautiful furnishing and lighting and outside with its gorgeous white canopies to protect you from the sun and colourful cushions to help you relax. The food was out of this world. Made with complete love with delicious fresh ingredients and an incredible gluten free range of options! (for anyone who is not gluten free you honestly would never know the difference - the chef is incredible and trying their gluten free bread with hummus is a must!). Once I booked my table it was mine for the evening and I took a luxurious 2 hours to enjoy my main meal with local port and grapes to follow to help ease my very satisfied belly! I so wished I'd had room for one of the cheesecakes! It is advisable to book as it is understandably very popular.   OUR BEST MEAL IN OLHÃO! We had prawns to start with which were the best prawns we’ve eaten in the Algarve this year. We followed with the black pork and the dourada. We had lunch and dinner here and both of them were delicious and made with love - there are many vegetarian options which are marvelous. Fantastically attentive yet efficient service, lovely food, very reasonably priced and a great setting - I felt like I was on a Greek Island.   I had an image in mind of what dining may look like in Olhau and this wasn’t it. I had painted a picture of seafront taverns serving a piece of fish from the grill with some simple greens. As lovey as that sounds, cha cha cha took my image and threw it out of the window. Refined and beautiful cuisine. Balanced flavours. The most amazing piece of tuna I have ever tasted, a beautiful fig salad and a raspberry and chocolate cheesecake to really write home about. The service was convivial and I loved every minute.   Great food and atmosphere was spot on; worth the wait. We almost walked out after waiting a bit for service, but were super glad we sat it out. It can be busy and the staff were super friendly and compensated us with a few glasses of wine for our wait. The food was exceptional. Modern tapas with local ingredients, nice portions and very fairly priced. Absolutely delicious dishes and the menu changes daily. We loved the butter beans and the grilled prawns. The small details set it above and beyond the competition. First, the lighting and ambiance where on point with the wall full of mirrors and subtle lighting on the floor tiles.   We stumbled over this place by accident and it immediately looked cosy and inviting. We decided to make a reservation on the spot. Owner and staff are amazingly friendly and they create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. We had starters, main and dessert and each of it was great.   This restaurant was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Staff were fantastic and charming, service was excellent and the food delicious. We both had the lamb which was cooked beautifully, couldn’t fault anything. Desserts again delicious. Very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.   Great find for a spot of lunch. Food was excellent and well priced for what you receive. Daily changing menu depending on what's in season and at it's best. All desserts were gluten free, cheesecake was top. Would recommend if your looking for something different to the surrounding touristy restaurants.   The brill was quite good, the tuna was very tasty. I was disappointed to be brought bread dry, without any oil or butter. I was unable to catch the eye of any of the serving staff to request some butter before the main course arrived. I would expect to be offered these options if they are not included. I queried the bill at the end of the meal and found that some items from an adjacent table had been added to our bill. The bill had also been totalled wrongly. The manager was apologetic and deducted two glasses of wine from the bill. It's a pretty looking restaurant but has some problems. There are restaurants nearby offering a much better experience.   Wonderful, rustic and charming little restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Olhao. We came here for lunch with our two children and everything we had was fantastic. Beautifully cooked Bream and Prawns and great service from the owner who was very attentive and clearly cares about the experience you have. We can't wait to come back in the summer and eat here every chance we get, reasonably priced for what you get as well.   Chachacha is terrific! It’s not only the best restaurant in Olhão, but a positive asset to the town (which of course is a delight). The restaurant is easygoing and relaxed and it does what anyone with good sense in Olhão would do – it gets the best, freshest ingredients from the fabulous market, a couple of minutes’ away, and serves them in ways that best bring out the flavours. Nothing exceptionally fancy but imaginative nonetheless – smoked tuna with plums, for example, or clams with samphire, or a perfectly grilled squid. The wines, too, are pretty special – a simple choice of red, white or rose, all natural, unfiltered wines from an estate near Setubal. And the dessert cakes are something else again!   What a gem of a place. Four of us on holiday from Yorkshire called in for lunch the other day. It was so good, we are catching the train back from Cabanas todays, for another lunch. We understand that the menus changes every day and depends on what is the best thing the owner finds in the market that day. The food and service were top quality.   I went on my own for dinner and I would come back again. I had salad with pear, rocket, almonds, goat cheese and honey sauce (4.5) It was small but good sice as starter for one. Maybe too much pear, and few pieces of rocket and goat cheese, but good anyways. The best was the main dish, tuna kofte totally recommend it (12.5).
