  Not the biggest menu but really tasty food, great service and atmosphere. Very child friendly and accommodating staff too. The octopus salad was the best we’ve had to date and there was a very fresh varied fish option available. They also have an ice cream bar attached if you only fancy something sweet.   Didn't have a reservation as only arrived in Armacao today so as the Palmeiras was literally over the road we chanced our luck at getting a table for six adults, but they were very accommodating & had us sat down within minutes & drinks ordered we begun the task of exploring the well presented menu & the many options available. Food was ordered & arrived (for those that didn't have salad) hot tasty thoroughly enjoyed. Portions were fair sized & reasonable in price. Coffees after were hot & tasty. Our drinks were forgotten, but no real problem.The chips were very average and tasted if they had been either cooked in old oil or reheated.   Well overpriced and not very good food unfortunately. The calamari starter was terrible, just chewy squid in batter, obviously not fresh. Steaks are quite good, but the squid and prawn kebab was just terrible for 18 euros. Prawns just tastless, couldn't get the shell off them, not de-veigned and just a waste of time. Squid was not cooked well, or prepared well as still had skin/sinue on, plus it was cold. House wine was good for 14 euros. But the rest in the main was rubbish, definitely not going back.   This was locally recommended but not sure why, I ordered a steak which was cold and served with some sliced fried potato - no other side options or even a menu that said what the steak came with and for €20 this was disappointing. My husband had peri peri chicken which consisted of 2 legs cut into four and not much chicken at all and a side of chips with some salad. All in all very underwhelmed. The service was not great at all and bizarrely there as a DJ. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a decent evening meal.   We are highly disappointed with quality and taste of main dishes. Burger was dry without any taste, sea food kebab was uneatable because it was totally burned. Despite of our complains of bad and uneatable food all was included in bill. No excuses from waiters.   We ate at this bar quite often because it was cheaper than what our hotel was charging and the food tasted better. The staff are so kind and friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. They have live music in the evenings. Very good and just a few steps from our hotel.   Chewy steak served with salad dressing (oil and balsamic vinegar) and a fried egg, mushy fries. Garlic bread was burnt without any garlic and little butter. Beer was fairly cheap. A very good choice for your every day eating out, with live entertainment offered some nights in season. We visit for three weeks in May and use this venue virtually every day with great pleasure.
