  I found this restaurant randomly from Google Maps, but it was beyond my imagination. I am a senior beer lover and German food lover, and I have lived in Portugal for 10 years and have never encountered such a professional German restaurant. Its roast pork knuckle, sauerkraut, sausages, and German beer taste very authentic, and the service staff are very enthusiastic and professional. When I reviewed this restaurant, it only had a score of 4.5, but I think the average score is worth 4.7-4.8.I ended up leaving with a few beers to give to my friends.   We dropped by to get some sausage from the on site deli, but it was already closed when we arrived. We were greeted by the wonderful staff at the restaurant. We stayed for some great beer and terrific sausage and bread, all made on site. This is a GREAT restaurant and we will return for a full meal. I cannot say how good the staff were.   Visited this place on my family's trip to Portugal. The whole first floor was packed, and so they opened the second floor for us. They were so extremely nice, and friendly. We got a bunch of delicious food. I can't remember exactly what we got, as we just order a bunch of food to try and enjoy. I tried mixing their pretzel with their cranberry sauce that comes with the pork Schnitzel and it was absolute HEAVEN. I wish I could have it again, but sadly, as we don't live in Portugal, It wont be possible unless we go to Portugal again. If we do go to Portugal again, I will 100% be going here again.   Very disappointing food. Tomato soup without taste, Wiener Schnitzel warmed up with industrial potato salad. I was hoping for more. It can't be that difficult for a cook to crack an egg and prepare the Schnitzel fresh in the pan with some breadcrumbs. Camarão with Asian sauce from the bottle. What should I say? The staff is nice and friendly, maybe a bit forgetful. But the food is not worthy of being called “authentic German”. Maybe at a Bavarian motorway service station. Overrated. Sorry.   The food was well prepared with a decent sized portion. I had 3 types of saugages and my wife had a schnitzel. The schnitzel had a very buttery flavor and the breading was loose and fluffy, a bit different but very tastey The restaurant is moderately priced and I think a good value.   Organised a group to go to the Oktoberfest on Saturday and no problems with the booking and allocation of tables etc but the service was terrible. It was very busy so I understand we would have to wait, so I was happy when we were assigned a guy at the start of the night at 18.30 who took our food order, but then he practically disappeared into the venue. We only saw him one more time and that was because I had to find him at the till and almost argue with him to come over. Ruined a good night I'm afraid so we won't be back.   Enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. However we had to order our desserts 3 times before they actually arrived. The food was reasonably priced but the drinks were very overpriced. Each gin and tonic came in at €14.50. Outrageous price for a short and a mixer. When queried with the staff they explained that the prices were set by the hotel that owns the restaurant. The restaurant must charge the same prices as the hotel so that their hotel guests do not see lower prices when they eat in this restaurant. Food prices are more reasonable as the menu in the biergarten is specific to it (and is not available at the hotel), leaving the restaurant to set its own prices. If you are looking for a reasonably priced meal that includes drinks, this is not the restaurant for you. I certainly would not go back. Such a pity to ruin the experience by charging 5 star hotel drink prices in the biergarten. Not sure how the hotel guests would feel knowing that the hotel owners are happy to inflate prices in the biergarten, to make sure the hotel guests pay over the odds for drinks, no matter which premises they eat in.   Can you believe that there is a piece of Germany in Algarve!?!? It's called Biergarten! 🍻 This welcoming hidden restaurant is a wonder to enjoy with family and friends. And it has their own butchery (with great meat and beautiful sausages!!!) With a fair to good price range, the chances are that you'll take away some of the food...   Great restaurant. I am a big fan of German food and I can honestly say that this German food is great. Some of the best I had. The place itself is wonderful. Very well decorated property and nicely kept. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was great as well. It took a little bit of time to get the entrée but it was well worth it. The portions for the appetizers are generous. We got 2 appetizers and 2 entrées and we still have enough left over for breakfast. The beer selection is decent as well. They have 100 sizes as well as 50 and 30. The prices are very decent as well. All the food we got plus 2 large beers was 70 euro.   On the day of my birthday, it was for me to choose the restaurant. We had read an article about it last September in relation to the Oktoberfest and it immediately appealed to us. We would try it on our next holiday...which was on the 3rd week ofJanuary 2023. Very easy access, plenty of free parking. Doors definitely do not open before the time, we were a bit earlier and maybe we could have sat for a beer so we went to see the pottery nearby instead. The decoration is very pleasant, sadly the wood burner was not on to add that welcoming feel on a cold-windy and partially rainy day. We chose our table and ordered one couvert, a Bretzel, 2 pints of the draught Weiß Bier, one chicken Oktoberfest-style and the 3 Würste -combo. No dessert, no coffee. About 44 euros for two. The food was really good and well presented, their home-bread is amazingly good and I was delighted with my süßer Senf (the traditional sweet mustard).The service was pretty attentive but I was rather disappointed by the ambiance, having expected staff to also speak German and to hear some traditional German music. Tínhamos lido um artigo sobre isso em setembro passado em relação à Oktoberfest e isso imediatamente nos atraiu. Tentaríamos em nossas próximas férias...que foi na 3ª semana de janeiro de 2023. Acesso muito fácil, amplo estacionamento gratuito. As portas definitivamente não abrem antes da hora, chegamos um pouco mais cedo e talvez pudéssemos ter sentado para tomar uma cerveja, então fomos ver a cerâmica ali perto. A decoração é muito agradável, infelizmente a salamandra não estava ligada para acrescentar aquela sensação acolhedora num dia frio, ventoso e parcialmente chuvoso. Escolhemos a nossa mesa e pedimos um couvert, um Bretzel, 2 litros de chope Weiß Bier, um frango à Oktoberfest e o combo de 3 Würste. Sem sobremesa, sem café. Cerca de 44 euros para dois. A comida era muito boa e bem apresentada, o pão caseiro é surpreendentemente bom e fiquei encantada com a minha süßer Senf (a tradicional mostarda doce). O serviço foi bastante atencioso mas fiquei bastante decepcionado com o ambiente, esperando que a equipe também falar alemão e ouvir música tradicional alemã. A experiência que eu esperava não foi completa do jeito que imaginei. Mas pelo menos foi bom o suficiente.

  Vila Vita put on an AMAZING Oktoberfest… super energetic brass band opened the evening with boisterous samba, folkloric and Bavarian music marching through the festival led by a charismatic band leader. Food was an elevated selection of German-inspired cuisine including delightful soft pretzels, schnitzel, pork belly, a selection of cheeses and sausages, and Black Forest cake for dessert … Mains averaged 15€. Erdinger was the beer on tap - I enjoyed the Dunkel. A bit pricey at 7.5€ and 14€ - making our total food bill a bit expensive. Later an energetic band with a broad repertoire got the whole place up and dancing. All in all, this event was well-run and extremely enjoyable. A good time was had by all in a beautiful setting.   What a pleasant surprise to find this amazing restaurant outside of the nearby beach towns. This has to be one of the best biergartens in the world. We loved every single dish we tried. The bread was perfectly soft and thick for the condiments. The olive paste was fresh, vibrant and it had zero bitterness. The herbal butter was sublime. The blue cheese flavored spiced spread was my jam. Fried chicken salad was delicious. Our kids stole them from us and we had to order more. Cafe latte was so good and tasty. My daughter loved the currywurst dish. Pork knuckle was humongous. I couldn't finish it but it was very tender and moist. I love the black forest cake, and it came with an eyedropper filled with alcohol for a last minute injection.   We were there for Oktoberfest. I had reserved a table for 4 about a week earlier and was looking forward to a great evening. We were taken to a table at the edge of the grass where the benches were so unstable because of the uneven hill that we knew it was unsafe. I had to ask, then finally insist that we were moved to another table. This one was on asphalt so no danger of tipping over. Our drinks and food were both delicious and delivered quickly. But after that it was like we were invisible. The table next to us had 5-7 visits from the staff while we had none. We were interested in dessert and my wife wanted another glass of wine. After about 30 minutes of waving and flashing the light on my phone I caught the attention of the waiter. We were able to get dessert and the wine, but again we were ignored. I walked up to the bar and asked for the bill (we were DONE). They called the waiter and he followed me to the table and let me pay. I didn't say anything or even try to complain, but he obviously recognized our poor service when he gave me my receipt and then offered a lengthy apology because he was "just so busy".   Where to start? This restaurant allows online bookings. So we availed of that. Went well. On their website they mention many details about the menu and even provide a download version of the full menu. Just great. So we booked. We knew what we signed up for. A delicious choice of veal Schnitzel (my wife does not eat pork and veal Schnitzel is her childhood favorite) and German potato salad and Sauerkraut (both my favorites). After a week in the Algarve and on the last evening before our flight home we wanted to enjoy this veal Schnitzel and its trimmings. We drove 50 minutes to reach the venue. Only to be told that the menu was invalidated for the evening as a BBQ was done “every Friday this summer”. I pointed out that this was neither said on their website, nor in the reservation process nor on the reservation confirmation email. And we had gone to great lengths to come for the Schnitzel. Sadly, we were not accommodated and sent back for a 50min drive to our hotel with no joy. We felt utterly let down. If this is an ongoing affair that happens “every Friday” why then fail so badly and not point it out upfront for guests using the reservation system on their own website? The Vila Vita brand self-proclaims as customer centered but this clearly did not apply to my wife and me, two bona fide guests with a valid reservation who had come from far and were refused what they signed up for. Apenas para saber que o cardápio da noite foi invalidado porque um churrasco era feito “todas as sextas-feiras deste verão”. Salientei que isso não foi dito no site deles, nem no processo de reserva, nem no e-mail de confirmação da reserva. E não medimos esforços para buscar o Schnitzel. Infelizmente, não fomos acomodados e mandados de volta para uma viagem de 50 minutos até o nosso hotel sem alegria. Nós nos sentimos totalmente decepcionados. Se este é um assunto contínuo que acontece “todas as sextas-feiras”, por que falhar tanto e não apontar isso antecipadamente para os hóspedes que usam o sistema de reservas em seu próprio site? A marca Vila Vita autoproclama-se centrada no cliente, mas isso claramente não se aplica a mim e à minha esposa, dois hóspedes de boa-fé com uma reserva válida que vieram de longe e tiveram o pedido recusado.   Menu is not long but all meals are professionally done and mouthwatering tasty *****. And the Weissbier!! Staff is very friendly and the place is absolutely clean. The meat shop run by the butcher himself is #1 Place for those who like meat. He sells with pride what he produces, absolutely delicious and fresh! A must stop!
