  This place comes with a premium price so you should have expectations. The meat was good, t-bone steak and chateaubriand. Shrimps were fine but the portion was small. House wine was good. The thing that we really did not like was that we were served a starter that we hadn’t order; two plates for four persons. We sent one of the plates back but in the end they charged us for both.   This was the first restaurant my partner and I came to when we arrived and we ended up coming a second time because it was so good. The quality of the food was amazing and the service was excellent! The first time we got the chateaubriand to share (500g for 50 euros - incredible price) and the second time we got a ribeye and sirloin steak. Also I’d strongly recommend the starter - cheese with honey and walnuts. Charging for the bread and butter, which they put on the table as soon as they give you the menu, is questionable. 11+ Euros for some bread and butter, is pretty high.   The desserts are excellent, the steak can’t be faulted but for the size of meat portion, there is very little veg and potato served. The children’s menu only offers steak and carbonara - the steak is good, the carbonara is watery and lacked flavour. There is a decent wine list. The service let it down for me, it’s not slow or inefficient, it just lacked warmth from the moment the door was opened (slightly opened) to see if we had a booking or not. We did in this instance but the person on the door hardly acknowledged us, we were just passed along once he knew we were in the reservations book. It’s as if they are just going through the motions. I had high expectations but was disappointed overall with the experience.   Wow... from welcome at the door to the end it was an incredible experience. We had a reservation at 6:30 pm opening and were greated at the door. It was explained that it was going to be another couple of minutes. They took drink orders and we sat outside enjoying the view. We were escorted to our tables with our drinks and that's where the service continued. So helpful making decisions and recommendations. The meal was spectacular. Sea bass was tender and full of taste. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. We never felt rushed even though the restaurant was filling up quickly. A must do if in the area.   Looking forward to this on my last night in Praia da Rocha. Starter Prawns and Avocado ok but prawns precooked and tough. Main course T-bone steak ordered medium but arrived rare grisly and cold in the middle basic stuff for a steak house waiter offered to cook more but that spoils the meal my complaint was met with a shrug maybe just a bad night.   Best dinner in Praia da Rocha by far. The name of the restaurant was why I hadn’t tried it prior but figured I’d give it a chance. My steak was perfect and the Prawn & Avocado salad was heaven.   It is definitely the best dining experience we had in Algarve. Absolutely fantastic sea food and excellent steaks! Waiters rememeber you and you welcome you each evening. If you need to wait for the table, they offer you drinks. I love the place and the people.   Was here on 16th july as my partners bday/engagement as she is a lover of steak. It wasn't a bad meal however for the type of establishment i was rather underwhelmed. They got my starter completely wrong which was replaced quite fast in fairness and did apologise. They also got my partners drink wrong. Our steaks were meant to be med/rare they were med/well done It seemed like 2 men (staff) were doing all work on the ground The portion sizes for the prices were scandalous this is a fine dinner restaurant were you are paying for a name rather than food Had panacotta for desert and it was so small i ate it in a few bites. Over all had a better experience with steak dinner 5 minutes walk away at Humbertos For half the price which included fries. Praia da rocha is relatively cheap for food however this restaurant is double price with half the quality.   A very popular restaurant in Praia da Rocha, Portimao. Located adjacent to a large car park alongside the road near a pedestrian crossing. Even in April the restaurant was full by 8.30pm and hence I would recommend booking in advance. A wide selection of steaks ate available together with chicken dishes. I had the surf and turf fillet steak and it was amazing. Expect to pay 25 euro plus for your main course. Wine is available by the glass, bottle or caraf. Bottled water is available too. The restaurant has a very pleasant interior surrounded by glass. I finished my meal with an espresso and a portugese bandy both of which were very nice. Highly recommended if you are in the area.   Great service, great wine. The restaurant gets busy so takes a while for the food to come. We ordered Chateaubriand and ordered medium rare, unfortunately it came medium well instead - disappointed as the meat was actually very well seasoned. We were too hungry to wait for potentially another hour for the second steak so decided to keep it. If not for the great service and wine, would get 2 stars.   Well the polite staff is a great start, very clean and classy, the presentation of the food gets full marks, the taste is very good, I have had better but very good. What let's it down is the quantity, I know people always say quality over quantity, but when I order a fillet steak I expect to get a fillet steak, not a bit of steak the diameter size of a mug, because that's what I got. I didn't mind paying a high price for dining out, but at least make it worth my while to sit down.   Not the best. After looking at the reviews we chose this place for a special anniverary based on those reviews. How wrong can you be? The service was good. Furthermore...One of the most expensive steaks (Angus steak) was ok but disappointing. Lacked any taste. Could have been any cut of meat. My wife was keen on a 'rib eye steak'. Although she enjoyed it...she did not believe it was a rib eye, possibly rump, a cheaper cut....the waiters were very polite but never asked us whether everything was okay. In the end. It felt like "pay up and go"....must have been the time if year.....why did we not complain? What was the point? We were there to enjoy a special occason. We will not be there again... and so it does not matter to them. A nice location....but that is all that can be said from our experience. So I do not understand the rave reviews I have read.   Setting was very nice and very nice tables etc. The beef had little flavour and was particularly tough. We did not finish it all, what annoyed me the most is it appeared the staff knew.   We really enjoyed this restaurant! We shared the prawns with piri piri and garlic sauce as our starter as our breads etc which was lovely really well cooked and the flavour wasnt over piri piri'd so the wonderful flavour of the prawn came through. For our main we shared the chateaubriand cooked medium rare (in the UK that would have been rare). This truly amazing in every way. The veg thst came with it matched perfectly. We have a medium dry sparkling wine which went very well with our meal. We had a desert each which was cream brulee and chocolate cake. Both were excellent!
