  We can't understand the glowing reviews this. astablishment has received? My wife ordered a cocktail that must have come out of a jug. The beer l received had gone off . After the first taste l sent it back, no apology no replacement and still appeared on the bill. My wifes order arrived with slice of tomato half a leaf of some description anemic Fries and chicken wings. The wings apperantley were OK. My black Angus beaf burger!! arrived after 5 mins of ordering? I think the parentage of the BEEF!! left a lot to be desired. Same fries no salad and soggy bun. Dining out is what we like to do.   Food was not great and we won’t return. Steak was very burnt and tasted bitter. Veg were cooked from frozen and quite soggy. Not what I was expecting. Peppercorn sauce was the worst I’ve ever tasted and there was less than an egg cup of it. Tasted like mayo with a couple of pepper corns thrown in it. We had nachos to start and it was a very small portion and the guacamole was very synthetic. Fell far short of the nachos in say, at Fusion in Ferragudo. Staff were lovely and I felt quite sorry for them. They refunded half of my husbands steak and that was fair enough as he did manage to eat half of it. Far better food around the area than this.   We visited this place while walking beside the beach, Praia da Rocha. We were heading towards another place while the vibe from this place attracted us. The food was also really good. We ordered Calamari fry, Chicken Piri Piri, Some fish and chips and some drinks. For dessert , we ordered Carrot cake with Italian gelato. The Piri Piri Sauce was spicy and delicious, the chicken was tender and moist. The calamari rings were crunchy yet perfectly cooked. The only thing that we struggled with was while paying the bill.   The guy front of house is warm and friendly. Welcomes you in and gets you seated quickly. He is a credit to the place. Unfortunately he is let down by the staff inside. We waited 45 minutes for food. There was a fully staffed kitchen from what we could tell so there really was no excuse. If it had been explained on the way in there was a wait for food, we could have made a decision on if we wanted to stay. Instead we were given a table and sat their with drinks wondering where our food was. Just as we were about to leave the food turned up. And it was delicious. One of the best meals we've had during our stay in the resort. If they could sort out the painfully slow service it would be a great place to eat. Instead it's a frustratingly slow place to eat that serves amazing food. If you don't mind waiting a while, check it out as the food is great. Danny.   The staff were really friendly and attentive. However, I was highly let down by the food. Considering it advertises as a steak house, I was disappointed my steak was messed up. I asked for it medium rare and it came out medium well...it was chewy. The additional section of meat on the sirloin was blue. I can't comprehend how you can mess up a steak that badly. The staff did notice I didn't like my steak and barely touched it, they did apologise but no refund or discount was offered. Not even sending my steak back? We were however offered free shots, but I don't drink. So quite disgusted that was the best they could do. We left a tip as the staff were ok, but I wouldn't be eating here again for a decent steak.   The food, the beer and staff were great. I had the Luna Chicken Kebab, my partner had the Chicken Piri Piri and the meat was fantastic. My Superbock IPA was served with an authentic glass and it’s brewing process was explained in detail by the staff serving us. Unfortunately my partner fell ill and we had to leave prematurely but the staff were pleasant, fast to help and happy to cancel an additional drink that was already ordered without charge. Will be coming here again to try the beautiful looking steaks. Thank you to the Ukrainian manager in particular who was a gentleman.   Wouldn’t even give it 1 star, service wasn’t too bad but people around us were waiting a while for the bill, I had a chicken burger and it definitely was not chicken, the starters if baby wings are tiny portion for the price but was chicken and nice, would be better if coated in the bbq sauce. You also have to pay for extra sauces such as bbq ect… All in all we will not be returning as it was a pricey amount for the service and food you got.. we went to the burger ranch few doors down the night before and takeaway food in much better than the frozen food received from here. I can’t seem to reply to the response but if you’re not able to take a personal response then that isn’t the customers fault…. Not sure how it doesn’t make sense but sure, have a good day!   Staff were fantastic and accomidating, we asked for fresh orange and lemonade for drinks, the waiter asked what we meant and made it even though it wasnt on their menue, food was great very tasty. We did have maybe a 20 minute wait, but the restaurant was busy and it can only be expected, we were made aware of this when ordering which u thought was great.   Not a good experience and would certainly not recommend to anyone. Very “pushy” waitress who insisted we had ordered 4large beers when we definitely had not . When food arrived my stake was ok - the peppercorn sauce was in a little jar and was horrible !! The pricing can be high. At 24 euros a steak id expect if to be of a high value. There are plenty of options and if definately caters to English tourists. Overall I would rate my experience with them am 8/10. My only critism is that there are no cushions on the chairs. You find yourself sticking to them.   Absolutely dire. Ordered well done burgers and we had to send the kids ones back as they were pink. When they came back (still pink) I noticed that the bites were missing from the first burger so basically they sent back the same food rather than cooking fresh ones. They were promptly returned along with mine which was almost red on one side (see photo). Asked for a manager but no one came. Drink prices for soft drinks and a very small wine are almost double of anywhere else in Praia da Rocha or Alvor that we have eaten in. Contrary to the response given by the restaurant( several weeks later) it was very quiet when we visited with lots of empty tables, and remained that way throughout our dire experience.   We came here for breakfast. I had the cheese omelette and my husband had the full English breakfast. This is one of the only places we could find on the Praia De Rocha strip that served an all day breakfast - particularly an English one. The freshly squeezed orange juice was extremely refreshing and my husband enjoyed his black English breakfast tea. The omelette was massive - very big portion; can't complain at all! My husband enjoyed his English breakfast and the only thing he had negative to say about it was that the beans were a little dried - baked beans with hardly any sauce... other than that the food was delicious.   Went here on our first night after a long day of travelling, they were 5 mins away from closing but let us in and told us to order anything and that it wouldn't be a problem, super friendly staff and really efficient service as well, treated us really well and we didn't feel rushed to finish even though they were closed when we started eating.   Visited here for breakfast one morning and was very impressed. Its hard to find a good standard full English breakfast outside of the UK but Hollywood Steakhouses delivered! The décor of the restaurant sticks very well to the Hollywood theme with movie posters and sculptures of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. The staff are very friendly and looked after our group very well. I would definitely come back when I'm in Praia Da Rocha again.   This venue is nice and bright and the decor is similar to the hard rock cafe in Vegas. We had chicken skewers which was cooked perfectly and the chicken was juicy and tasty. Another member of our party had chicken piri piri which was also cooked very nicely and tasty. Both came with a large portion of fries which were freshly cooked.   Went this evening with family, 2 adults, 2 teens. Very busy Sat night. Service very very slow. Got drink orders wrong. Food ordered, asked for all to be brought to table at same time - this did not happen. Food arrived and was okay - tried in vein to get waiters attention for another round of drinks - waited 10 mins to order. Finished meal at 9, had to wait 40 mins to get dessert menu. In end got fed up and had to go direct to manager to get bill. He did apologise but just used being busy as an excuse ! - defo need more staff. Would never go back !   Great place to eat with a good selection on the menu. Staff are very helpful and great with kids. First visit I tried their take on a chicken caeser salad which came with sliced boiled eggs on top and blue cheese. It was very tasty and you could tell that they have used fresh ingredients. Second visit I had the fillet steak cooked rare and I have to say it was perfect. Can't wait to visit again on our next holiday.   We visited this restaurant twice during the week we stayed in Praia Da Rocha. (14/05/2017 to 21/05/2017) Both occassions exceeded our expectations. The first night we had Pizza from the Pizzaria which is next door and is part of the same establishment, and served by the same staff. Pizza's tasted authentic and delicious and very filling. The second occassion we had Burgers... Beautiful! The staff are so helpful and attentive, and will spend some time to have a little chat and joke with you. Please give it a try. Music is really good.
