  Ate here during a November visit to PdR. Off the normal tourist routes but well worth searching out. Great seafood (the availability is fully explained before ordering). I can really recommend the octopus with chestnut potatoes and the grilled squid. The wine list is fairly short but extremely well structured with some excellent wines at reasonable prices.   I highly recommend a visit here while you've in Praia de Rocha. We went with a large group. The fresh seafood and fish options were amazing.   This place is fantastic. The food, service and atmosphere were all genuinely five star. Quite posh. Possibly not a place you'd take the kids. Food is fresh and carefully cooked by obviously talented and experienced chefs. View to the kitchen is open. Service, from mature gentlemen was impeccable and friendly. The place was quite quiet when we went In September, but it looks able to take a lot of guests. Decor is quite traditional and cleanliness superb.   We celebrated a birthday at Squash. It was the perfect dinner for two. We ordered the Octopus, Mallock for our entrees, olives, Iberico and melon for appetizers and a bottle of Green Wine (unique to Portugal). Everything was delish! The desserts were amazing.   Food was terrible, all the tables around us were complaining about how bad the food was, and it was quite expensive on top of everything. Ended the night with a final prize of food poisoning, had to stay almost overnight at the ER, owner refused any responsability afterwards. EDIT: to the owner saying you only get food poisoning 8 hours after eating, that is plain wrong, symptoms may manifest from 30 minutes to 8 hours after eating. Everyone at the hospital (both nurses and doctors) told us it was 100% bad food at this restaurant. Really tasty food (the octopus main was soooo good🤤) and the waiters were great (we tried the barnacles - not the most popular seafood so the waiter took the time to show us how to eat them - a must try if they have them on the day). They also offered some different local digestives and took some time to tell us some little stories about the food. A great experience!   2 weeks in Portugal traveling from Lisbon to up north, back down to Algarve and when I say this was my number one restaurant from food to experience - I mean it. We stumbled across Squash when looking for a last minute place to eat after exploring Praia da Rocha. With the reviews and photos of the food found here on google we thought it was definitely worth a try and we were by no means disappointed! The owner greeted us and accommodated us to having an outdoor table. Start to finish, service was impeccable and probably among the best we had during our entire trip. The food was absolutely delicious - we started with shrimp cocktail and had the tiger prawns plus the Portuguese style filet as our mains. You can tell this place really puts a priority in quality of ingredients. Deserts were delicious and the owner treated us to local port wine. Overall fantastic experience and highly recommend! Nós tropeçamos no Squash quando procurávamos um lugar para comer de última hora depois de explorar a Praia da Rocha. Com os comentários e fotos da comida encontradas aqui no google achamos que definitivamente valia a pena experimentar e não ficamos desapontados! O proprietário nos cumprimentou e nos acomodou em uma mesa ao ar livre. Do início ao fim, o serviço foi impecável e provavelmente um dos melhores que tivemos durante toda a nossa viagem. A comida estava absolutamente deliciosa - começámos com um cocktail de camarão e comemos os camarões tigre e o filé à portuguesa como prato principal. Você pode dizer que este lugar realmente prioriza a qualidade dos ingredientes. As sobremesas estavam deliciosas e o proprietário nos tratou com vinho do Porto local.   Dare I say… this was perhaps the best meal we had in Portugal. AND we went to Michelin star restaurants in Lisbon! We LOVED the tomahawk, monkfish, and tuna tartare.   Went here for an evening meal on a fairly quiet Saturday night recently. Sat outside on the terrace which looked good. We got a seafood platter between three of us as a starter which was more than enough, and a tomahawk steak to share for the main with some sides. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it pretty much came out on the blue side of rare. We mentioned this to the waiter, but other than acknowledging our comment, he didn't seem too keen on the idea of doing much about it. Marking the place 4 stars as, in general, the service was good, the venue was nice and the food was, with the exception of the steak under cooked, pretty good.   So happy with the service and quality of food from this restaurant. Our waiter, Carlos, was very friendly and came to our table at the beginning of our stay to show us the fresh catch of the day. We chose the fresh red snapper and the octopus for our mains and they were both cooked well and had so much flavour. Carlos was very attentive and made sure that we were enjoying our meals and had enough bread and vegetables to go with our fish. We had the Seafood Rice for 2 and there were easily 8 plates made out of it! Make sure you go hungry as the food is delicious and big portions for very reasonable prices!   Due to the pandemic, we wanted to contribute to the local economy durinh our holiday, so we decided to go out for dinner. We chose this restaurant because it was close to our apartment. Me, my wife and our two kids felt very safe the whole time. The safety measure are quite good including the use of masks by the kitchen staff. It has a cosy environment. The manager and all the staff were very kind, friendly and attentive. One of my kids didn't like the burguer, they made him some nuggets and didn't charge us for that.   I am rarely inspired to write reviews, but this restaurant was exceptional. The staff were so genuinely warm & welcoming, and made my partner and I feel so well looked after, they went above and beyond to make our experience special. We ordered the Snapper & King prawns, both prepared & cooked to absolute perfection- It was actually the best tasting seafood i've had- so clean & fresh, and a clear respect for the way they prepare the seafood & vegetables. I think the Chef must put a lot of love & intent into the art of preparing such fine food, really honouring the ingredients they work with. Oh and the potatoes were divine too. Also worth a mention is the olive oil they brought out with the bread to start with, had some local Portuguese salt added to it, perfection.   After finding this restaurant since It was close to our hotel we decided to try it out. it is a little hard to find but all good...great things come from a little work.... The staff is very good, prompt, courteous and always smiling. As for the food, we had sea bass and Gold brim with vegetables. For dessert the Banf which was banana with ice cream and a cookie/ biscuit. How was it??? Well it was phenomenal. The fish was cooked to perfection flaky and moist.   I went there last night with my family and we've booked a table for 9 pm. Everything was ok and in the beginning, the service was not that good as expected, but then 2 Brazilians waiters took over the table and thank you guys because you save the night! The food was amazing and the Cataplana was brilliant. The cheesecake I have to confess that it was one of the best I've ever tried. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very cozy and I strongly recommend to book before going there, otherwise, you might not have a table available. The only con the restaurant has is that the food takes ages to serve but this, according to one of the waiters is because everything is fresh and made at the time you order, I guess it is fair enough. I stopped in late on my last night in Portimão and they were able to sit my girlfriend and I at a nice table outside.   Simply excellent. The restaurant is inside a building, next to the swimming pool. It has a terrace but we seated inside. The staff is very kind and warm but professional. The "cataplana" is simply delicious: sea food with vegetables and a little bit spicy. They bring also some fresh chopped coriander and "piri-piri", home maid spicy sauce. We drank a small bottle of white wine. For dessert, the almond cake was superb. The staff invite us to a coup of Oporto. Great dinner for two people, less than 55€.   Very nice place, cosy, quiet. Apperitives are on a good price. Meals are on a bit higher price comparing the other surrounding restaurants, however the quality is the best.   After our first meal, it was so good we went back two more times within a week! Superb food and a lovely family atmosphere. We sat outside on a beautiful garden terrace. Very romantic! Nothing was too much trouble. After 2 holidays in Portimao this is now our favourite restaurant by far. The red shrimp and fillet steak melted in the mouth. A real hidden gem.   We ate here twice on our 7 day trip to Portugal. I only wish we had discovered this restaurant sooner! Although we only discovered it 2 days before we were due to leave Portugal, it was so good we went there both nights. I think the entire table agreed that the best dish was, by far, the wild boar and plum stew. Although the other dishes were cooked to an excellent standard, the wild boar and plum stew stood out. The boar fell apart with the slightest touch, and I could even go as far as to say it melted in the mouth. It was served with rice and vegetables. Because it came in a casserole dish and with a serving spoon, the entire table got to taste it! The waiters were brilliant too. They were friendly, funny, and overall a delight to talk to (nothing like the waiters you usually get, who mindlessly take the order, give you the food, and don't do anything more). One of the waitresses even gave my mum a clothing catalogue, as the waitress also worked for a clothing designer (which my mum was very interested in). Overall, I'd say this restaurant is one of the best I've been to (and I've been to lots of restaurants). Fantastic! Foi servido com arroz e legumes. Por vir em uma caçarola e com uma colher de servir, toda a mesa pôde prová-lo! Os garçons também foram brilhantes. Eles eram amigáveis, engraçados e, no geral, uma delícia para conversar (nada como os garçons que você costuma receber, que anotam o pedido sem pensar, dão a comida e não fazem mais nada). Uma das garçonetes até deu um catálogo de roupas para minha mãe, já que a garçonete também trabalhava para um estilista (no qual minha mãe estava muito interessada). No geral, eu diria que este restaurante é um dos melhores que já estive (e já estive em muitos restaurantes). Fantástico!
