  We had a Sunday carvery lunch at Oscar’s and it was excellent. The food is really fresh and all home cooked. There were three choices of meat and lots of vegetables to choose from, plus gravy and lots of sauces. The desserts are excellent too, we had rhubarb crumble and custard. The service is great especially from Lauri who was so helpful and very friendly. It was a great Sunday lunch dining experience.   Hadn't visited Oscars for at least three years. O it was nice to see how they had changed as they are apparently under new ownership. I still think they need more time to settle in. Food was nice, we had the carvery, which was fair. But no better than many I have had elsewhere. The standard menu was just that, standard. Not bad, but nif exceptional. I was a little disappointed.   Amazing staff and great atmosphere! Definitely recommend! A very scenic bar with extremely friendly and respectful staff. Very reasonable prices especially for the high quality food. Went on a Monday night and was pleasantly surprised to be part of a quiz! Great entertainment for families or friends, and will definitely be returning next time I'm in Portugal.   Back for the first time since covid and new ownership and upon walking in were delighted to see the place just as we remembered it. What has changed however is the quality of the food, it's really good. The Fish and Chips were perfectly done in a crisp light batter, the steak (as Canadians we know steak) was tender, flavourful and cooked just right and the sizzling fajitas were tasty and filling.   I have frequented Oscar's since it opened and all previous owners had their own ideas of how it should be run. It's now almost 3 years since Rohan and Sareeta have taken over, I can honestly say that the food and drink have improved immensely. Recommend Sunday lunchtime.   Oscars Bar & Kitchen offers a nice atmosphere and it is tastefully decorated, it has a big bar and a small fireplace. In between is the place for the musicians, who perform regularly. The good looking restaurant is located next to the N396, between Vilamoura and Almancil, and has plenty of free parking. We had a vegan nasi goreng that was great, the best you find in the Algarve. The veggie burger was home made and very good. The ceasar salade with chicken was very tasty. We recommend this place! All employees are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The live music is very nice and plays beautiful request numbers, which can be danced to. We will certainly visit Oscars Bar & Kitchen more often, with our family or for a sunday roast with friends.   Average, nothing spectacular. And my pet peeve is animals in a restaurant. And guess what, dogs where there and a dog on a leash took a wee at the bar with the owner on the other end of her lease.   We'd seen an ad for this place in a magazine I picked up and we went for the day it turned out. Good bar for sports watching, has a large outdoor covered beer garden. Food is good, we'd seen they did proper Sunday dinners but we were leaving on the Sunday so made do with an English breakfast and jacket potato with cheese for lunch and shared a pepperoni pizza for tea.   My dad's local, he loves the place, he goes over most nights for a few drinks then home. He's probably there now😂. I've been there a few times overs the years and always very friendly staff. I'll be over to visit my dad next month so it'll be my local too for a few weeks.   Will not return to this bar. Extremely disappointed with the service. Booked ahead for 5 people as recommended by the manager. Arrived on time shown to table straight away. Drinks order taken & returned for food order without a menu. Was advise after 10 minutes we would be waiting 45 minutes for the food. We accepted this and happily sat waiting for the food. After 1 hour & 15 minutes I had to get up & ask the bar staff if we would get our order as the people on the table behind us had been served after arriving 30 minutes us. Food then came out and it was cold. Totally unacceptable after waiting over an hour for food. Condiments where served in a bowl without cutlery so we had to use our own knife & fork. No one returned to ask us if our food was ok. At the end of our meal we asked for the bill made our complaint to the waiting staff which we thought would be passed on & maybe someone within management would come & talk to us but to our surprise no one came. I went to pass on our complaint and SIMON restaurant manager was not in the least bit interested. No apology was offered by him in any way shape or form. He said we where the only people to complain today. Only one complaint in his whole day & he finds it acceptable to brush this off.   Just a simple pub. Has an okay selection of beers, a little limited but no more so than other places in the algarve. They do big beer towers which are great! I havent tried the food since it came under new management, but looks like fairly traditional pub grub comfort food. Staff are friendly and can communicate in both Portuguese and English. They have big tvs which are always showing sports of some type. Pool table is good fun too. They have quiz nights and karaoake on multiple nights if thats your kind of thing.   Excellent meals on both occasions we ate here. We also had a take away. I am coeliac and the manager arranged for the chef to make me a gluten free lasagne which was delicious.
