  Never been here previously and won't be going back. The food itself was pretty good but that was about it. We asked for a bottle of house red, usually 12-18 euros in this part of the world. We were told they had 3 different house reds and left it to the waitress to decide which was best for our meals (steaks). We had a reasonable but fairly average Alentejo for which we were subsequently charged 35 euros. I complained, saying the wine was not worth what they were charging and we should have been informed of the price before being served it. The manager was barely polite and offered no explanation, let alone an apology or reduction. Poor performance. The manager has subsequently replied to this. He may be correct in that he personally was not the person I complained to. I made an assumption it was the manager. However, I stand by my statement that we were NOT informed of the price and that the wine was not worth the 35 euros we were charged.   Great experience dining here as a family. We availed of the ‘all you can eat’ which was a feast of beautifully cooked meats with plenty of delicious sides. The vegetarian amongst us ordered the cod cakes and would highly recommend them. The food was amazing and the staff were highly attentive and described each dish and type of food as it was served to us. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, so thank you to all in Retinto.   The best place myself and my family have been too in a very long time. The price was right, the wine was great (1.5 litre bottle). The variety of meat was incredible and the side orders complimented it well. The service from all staff was exceptional and the owner was also a good crack.   Just let this wonderful restaurant in Villamoura called Retinto. We both had fantastic steaks that just melted in your mouth. All the food was excellent, the Restaurant was well laid out, and very clean. Staff were welcoming and very friendly.   Absolutely amazing. The steak is cooked to perfection, the sides are delicious and the portions are large and filling. The atmosphere is relaxed but sophisticated. The service is out standing; friendly, professional, kind and welcoming. Visited last year and back again this year, the standards have held their heights from the first visit.   This place is hands down the best steaks in town. We had the all you can eat. All the meats were cooked perfectly. The staff were very knowledgeable about the meats and how there cooked. Owner very friendly and helpful throughout our dinner. Only thing I would say we paid 45 euro for a bottle of wine walked into super market and same bottle double the size so 1.5 litres was 20 euro.   We are regulars at this fantastic restaurant. Never had a bad meal and the staff are alway friendly and attentive. The Rodizio carne is always a winner with delicious meats and tender steak plus the roasted pineapple is out of this world. We’ve also had fish dishes, prawns, wagu steak in the hot stone.   Bem, devo observar uma coisa. Quem vem a Vilamoura ou é hóspede no Algarve não pode deixar de incluir este excelente restaurante. O serviço, o ambiente e a comida são um sonho. Se você é um amante de carne, com certeza fará o seu dinheiro valer a pena. Pedimos picanha. A quantidade de carne que você quiser servida em espetos. Até ao momento não tivemos boas experiências com pratos de carne no Algarve, mas neste restaurante pode realmente desfrutá-lo. O atendimento é ótimo, você se sente rei e rainha. Não é um exagero.   We were disappointed with the overall standard of the food. Especially when comparing with what's available back home in the UK. Before flying out to Portugal we dined at Fazenda in Edinburgh and unfortunately there is no comparison in the quality of food and dining experience offered.   Having visited Vilamoura many times previously we'd always visited "the other" rodizio restaurant! We finally tried Retinto and were not disappointed. we skipped starters and went straight for the rodizio with a recommended red wine that was deliciously smooth. Great meat and poultry, all very tender, plus chips, rice, black beans, salad and fried banana. Service was spot on, lovely atmosphere.   Jantei o rodízio de carnes variadas e picanha com meu namorado e não recomendo. Comida mais ou menos, serviço ruim e preço altíssimo. Não se pode escolher a carne que quer comer no rodízio, eles têm uma sequência para servir as carnes que tem de ser respeitada. Fomos questionados se já tínhamos acabado a refeição antes de ter sido servido picanha e sequer comemos certos cortes, como o cupim por exemplo. Além disso, ficamos imenso tempo sentados à espera da comida por diversas vezes.

  A comida estava ótima e as porções são também muito generosas. O serviço foi bastante lento, demoramos quase meia hora para as entradas e outros 45 minutos para o prato principal. O dono do estabelecimento que nos atendeu também foi extremamente desagradável, sempre com uma postura de 'espertalhão'. Primeiro reclamou porque pedimos fatura com 5 números de contribuinte diferentes, algo que é um direito de qualquer cliente. No final ainda me obrigou a confirmar a conta com a gorjeta incluída na calculadora do telemóvel à frente de toda a gente, como se o fossemos enganar (era o meu aniversário).

  This is a really great restaurant. Waiters are very nice, service was extremely good. The owner was a really lovely chap. His younger waiting staff were very polite. Quick service as well. I suggest that you take your time, order starter, then order main after finishing starter. I had the 'All you can Eat'. This was excellent. The steaks, chicken, sausages were lovely. Kathryn had the Rump steak which was also excellent. Great drink menu and the beer was ice cold and refreshing. Fries and salad also good. The skewers also looked excellent. Frequented by quite a few Vilamoura residents, as well as some tourist. We sat on the terrace outside with a view of the square. The inside was really lovely though and would be fabulous on colder evenings. Great atmosphere. It is worth the walk from the Hotels around the Marina, it's not far. Basically it's 100 metres from the rear of The Irish Pub/Figo's Cafe. I would definitely recommend to everyone. It is a romantic venue, think of it as authentic Portuguese modern restaurant.   Very nice indeed. We had the Brazilian bbq which involved chefs bringing us varied and unique meats that were all excellently cooked. We also enjoyed a very good red wine made at the restaurant's own vineyard. Great service, lovely food and brilliant drinks.   We were a little disappointed with our experience last weekend. Our main course arrived 1.5 hours after we first arrived and only when we started enquiring where our food was did we get an apology/explanation. A quick fix would have been to proactively offer a drink on the house but instead the staff just pretended we weren’t there. The steaks were good when they finally arrived plus the wine excellent. Mid-season, off-season obviously makes no difference to these meat masters, as we visited on a Thursday in February, and the grill was going full-tilt. We all had the Rodízio de Carnes Variadas e Picanha, (for the unfamiliar, rotating skewers of succulent, fire-roasted meats carved for you table-side). Absolutely delicious. Bring your appetite, and come prepared for as much mouth-watering Brazilian and Argentine carne you can handle. We will definitely return to sample the local peixe and porco Iberico next time.   We were recommended to visit Retinto, situated behind the Marina, and we were not disappointed. We found the restaurants behind the Marina more personal and the staff at Retinto could not have been more friendly, but not pushy. We both ordered the Portuguese Steak which was amazing, a huge filet steak cooked to perfection (Med / rare) in wine, mustard sauce with crispy potatoes. The waiter did provide us with meats and cheese as a starter which we didn't really order as it was an additional charge and we would have been happy with just some bread but it was tasty and a nice way to enjoy our wine to start the meal.   To be honest we only came her gambiling if we would get in or not ? We manged to get in and the staff were so lovley and made us have a laugh 😃 when it came to ordering food well there was not a big range for kids and my kids could not eat anything there was only 2 things us adults ordered a vareity of things practically a sarcuturi boards when food came and my child was gave a fresh napkin and it was full of brocili we were all disgusted then she gog another napkin which was full of butter anyways ?   The food was good, a bit pricey menu. I have a problem with the staff not respecting the moment when puring the wine by using the proper tools, wine pourer or towels.   Had a great meal with family. We’d been to this location (different restaurant) 5 years ago. Myself and my son had 9 course (we had about 11 until we couldn’t move) Brazilian BBQ.   Stopped in for tapas as we were tired and we weren't too hungry after traveling all day. The service was so friendly, the wine recommendation was spot on and the food of course was excellent. We had sausage, garlic shrimp and sliced potatoes.... Which are actually potato skins. They were delicious. All around us everyone seemed to be having a fabulous time and enjoying thier meals.   One of our favourite restaurants to visit for evening meals in Vilamoura. On our last visit I had the Portuguese style steak and the sauce and steak was delicious. My husband had a grilled steak also delicious. They do an all you can eat meat dish where different cuts are delivered in sequence. You need a big appetite for it. The house wine is lovely and not expensive. I would recommend you wear a warm jumper if you visit during the Winter months. Always reliable and the staff are excellent.   We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and wanted to try a Rodizio whilst in Portugal. We were not disappointed. We ordered bread and butter to go with our all you can eat Rodizio. Don't order the bread it's way too much with the meat and sides. We were served chicken legs, ribs, steak with grilled cheese, chicken wrapped in bacon or ham, roasted pork, sausages, iberico ham, bulls neck, rump steak, lamb and more! The sides were two different kind of chips, rice and beans, sauces and salad. Then came the roster pineapple. What a meal! You have to eat here if you love meat and want to try different things.   We went to Retinto for the Rodízio for the buffet. It was incredible!!! The staff were very friendly, there was a lovely atmosphere and our server Alex was very kind and knowledgable about the different types of meats. We sat in the newer side of the restaurant which was decorated beautifully. Such a huge variety of meats which were high quality. Alongside the meat we got salad, chips, sweet potato frieds, black beans, fried banana and pineapple. The whole experience was fabulous and something different! We had some of the house wine which Alex told us was made by the owner. I would highly recommend it!   Had a lovely meal out at this restaurant. Nice to try something different as many of the restaurants offer the same thing. We went for the all you can eat menu where you get served 10 different types of meat. This includes sides of rice, chips, black beans, bananas & salad. You are served slices of each meat from a giant skewer and they will keep coming back until you are full. At the end you are served pineapple on a skewer.   Went here and had the all you can eat meat platter. Price was fairly good for the amount of meat you get served however there is only so much meat one can eat! The meat was cooked rare-medium which my husband likes but I prefer mine a little bit more well done so struggled to eat some of it.   What a glorious find. We came across this restaurant whilst out on a wander, booked up online and hoped it would be good as it was the last night of our holiday. We were not disappointed. Firstly the food was amazing, we knew it was all you can eat and by the time the 11th meat was served and we were asked what we wanted more of we knew we were beat. The meats were excellent, moist and flavoursome, the sides that came with it also did not disappoint, with the beans the real star. As we finished each dish they were refilled and all included in the price. We ended with delicious cooked pineapple flavoured with cinnamon, again all included. So the food was amazing and great value but the atmosphere and service were the real stars, the staff were wonderful, full of smiles and nothing was too much, they genuinely felt like they enjoyed it as much as we did. The owner was fantastic and whilst I really don’t want to take anything away from the exceptional food (especially the Brazilian meat all you can eat buffet) where they provide an endless supply of freshly cooked steak to your seat I have to say the staff are exceptional.   What can I say except the following. The owner Ricardo is the consummate professional. He welcomed us and was helpful without being too invasive, provided a brief overview of the cuisine and made excellent recommendations. My partner does not eat meat and he recommended the sea bass which was perfect. I had the meat special which was a carvery of 12 different meats accompanied by some fantastic side dishes. The food was the best I have had in Vilamoura and we have been coming here for the last 4 years in March and September. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone and hope you all have as good a meal as we did.
