  Expensive for what it is. Nothing special, food is ok. You pay 18 euros for an entire fish, potatoes and vegetables (which other people around us got) and you pay the same amount of money for less than 20 clams (a quarter of which were just empty shells) with some garlic in between!   When we arrived, we had to wait 20min for a table due to not having reserved. The people working there were very friendly and even made some jokes to make us laugh. The food didn't take too long to get served, first Tuna Steak I tried and it was very delicious, for desert had a very well served lime pie. Had to wait 30 minutes, but the seafood rice was worth it after a long day of surfing with a cold Super Bock literally heaven.   Great fresh fish - owner recommended the grilled stonebass and it was excellent. See photo. Also tried the sea bass that was also great but stonebass was better. Very friendly people - spoke great English. Nice desert (kind of a homemade flan). Recommend this place.   After a visit to the fort we were not sure where to stop for lunch but when we returned to the car there was a flyer for this restaurant on our windscreen. So we thought ‘why not?!’ and headed into Sagres to this unlikely located restaurant. We’re so glad we did! Delicious fresh fish, (we had the sea bass and the swordfish) attentive staff, lovely ambiance and even a large free car park right next to the restaurant. Definitely recommend this delightful place if you want a filling, tasty lunch.   Nice to go for a good value for money menu. Do nt be bothered by the many tourist; they provide great food. We started w the prawns, tasty and well done. Next the melon and Jamon.   Orange sauce with mustard to prawns is totally wrong. It was too sweet and make a horrible fit for fishy shrimps. Rice was too starchy and tomato salad was more like vinegar with tomatoes.   Had a wonderful experience in the past at this restaurant however this time it was not the same. The service continues to be good and every waiter was nice to us but the food was lacking the same level as before, the meat was accompanied by frozen fries and some not so traditional Asian stir fried veggies and the chef's shrimp dish felt that it didn't belong into the taste profile that you are looking in a restaurant like this. The prices looked a bit higher compared with the quality of the food that was served. Let's hope that this traditional Portuguese restaurant doesn't become very touristy and stay true to what it was before.   Very nice place to eat, the fish is awesome, like really awesome. Bug quantities ! You won't be hungry if you get to eat there (especially if you come with someone with a little appetit lol). If you like meat, don't Orry ! It's really good and you have plenty of choices (chicken, porc, calf) and I enjoyed it ! It's a huge recommendation for anyone looikng for a restaurant is sagres.   It is really the best fish in the Algarve, by miles. My wife is Portuguese, we have a holiday home in Lagos and come here every year. We have tried most of the good restaurants from Sagres to Lagos and this is outstanding. We sometimes visit 2 or 3 times each holiday. It can get very busy so arriving early is a good idea. You can also book until 8pm in high season but after that it is first come first served. They do a great grilled Robalo, Dorada and the trigger fish is pretty special too. The fish is always fresh that day and locally fished from the sea, not aqua cultura (farmed fish). It is grilled to perfection with a special grilling sauce that really adds the perfect taste. The two brothers who run the restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is unassuming and you are equally welcome straight from the beach (in casual clothing not bikini or topless) or smartly dressed. They have a superb selection of home made Portuguese desserts so leave space! They also have a wonderful Portuguese wine list to add the perfect finish to a perfect dinner. Took a while until we were sitted at the table (the waiter was very agitated to serve everyone), but it was worth it (especially because they don’t kick you out at the closing hours).   Myself and my partner Beth stumbled upon this restaurant while walking towards the town looking for a place to have a nice meal and a few drinks. Got greeted by the most friendly waiter, David, and soon felt extremely welcomed. Service was excellent throughout the night and the food was exactly what we were looking for. Dishes were plentiful. Fish was extremely fresh and the steak was so tender with amazing chips and mushroom sauce. After a few drinks, we got very friendly with a few other waiters and the owners, Tiago and Nuno, who offered us a few local drinks after hours. They even gave us fresh local barnacles (which I didn't even know was a thing) to try and they were amazing. They also recommended some sights to see in the locality which turned out to be the best to date. Been in Portugal for 11 days and this was the best restaurant and experience we've had by far. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!   I found this restaurant accidentaly and was very impressed by the freshness of the food and how delicious the fish was. We ordered sea bass for 2 and it was really tasty! It was a windy warm summers day and we sat inside. There was a lot of other people but restaurants stuff made great job. We had white wine NOS which was perfect with the fish.   Went there twice in a week during a weeks holiday to Sagres and was impressed both times. Food was varied and of excellent quality. Service was also spot on with just the right amount attention paid to us. Gets quite busy later in the evening which adds to the already pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.
