  DO NOT EAT HERE! My husband I had lunch here and we both woke up the next day feeling sick with food poisoning!! We were supposed to leave for Porto and we’re so sick we couldn’t even go. My husband was throwing up and having cold sweats and we barely slept. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SICK! A $65 meal turned into a $2,000+ one as we had to stay an extra night at our Lisbon hotel, had to cancel our stay in Porto without getting refunded, and had to reschedule our flights back home. The service was also awful. The server walked by us several times without even asking about water. We had the octopus salad, chorizo, the green broth soup, mixed salad and a grilled octopus with potatoes. Everything was not good and the octopus was extremely oily. Thinking back, the octopus salad smelled a bit weird so I’m pretty sure they served us expired seafood… we haven’t even been able to leave our hotel all day long and can’t put down even the smallest of snacks without needing to run to the bathroom. YOU GUYS SUCK!!! How can you possibly serve bad food? I wish I could get a full refund for that horrible meal. Our first time to Portugal has been absolutely RUINED by this awful restaurant. O serviço também foi horrível. O servidor passou por nós várias vezes sem sequer perguntar sobre água. Comemos a salada de polvo, o chouriço, a sopa de caldo verde, a salada mista e um polvo grelhado com batatas. Nem tudo estava bem e o polvo estava extremamente oleoso. Pensando bem, a salada de polvo tinha um cheiro um pouco estranho, então tenho quase certeza de que nos serviram frutos do mar vencidos… nem conseguimos sair do hotel o dia inteiro e não conseguimos largar nem o menor dos lanches sem precisar corra para o banheiro. VOCÊS SUGAM!!! Como você pode servir comida ruim? Eu gostaria de poder obter um reembolso total por aquela refeição horrível. A nossa primeira vez em Portugal foi absolutamente ARRUINADA por este restaurante horrível.

  I wouldn't come back. Worst is that we were charged for the apetizer after not eating it (4€) and saying we didn't want it. We don't speak Portuguese and didn't know what "couvert" was. As that word is similar to a Spanish one meaning another thing, we thought it was something like a tax. And it was, for not asking. It wasn't fair. Waitress was kind except for that detail. Food was late (in a cold living room) and was really normal, nothing out of the ordinary. We followed the good reviews to enter and after leaving I can't understand them, to be honest. I ordered a creamy rice (16€, not worth it), but my shoes were creamier. My gf ordered something with cod and same. Desserts didn't look good, and even us, sweet lovers, preferred leaving instead. Not the worst place I've been to, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. But if you choose to eat there, please be careful with being charged properly. We just ordered a dish per head and a drink. 20€ per head aprox. Not worth it. Prefer McDonald's. At least "food" is warm when you eat it (Traduzido pelo Google) Eu não voltaria. Seguimos as boas críticas para entrar e depois de sair não consigo entendê-las, para ser sincero. Pedi um arroz cremoso (16€, não vale a pena), mas os meus sapatos estavam mais cremosos. Minha namorada pediu algo com bacalhau e mesmo. As sobremesas não pareciam boas e até nós, amantes de doces, preferimos ir embora. Não é o pior lugar que já estive, mas não recomendo de jeito nenhum. Mas se você optar por comer lá, tome cuidado para cobrar corretamente. Acabamos de pedir um prato por cabeça e uma bebida. 20€ por pessoa aprox. Não vale a pena. Prefira o McDonald’s.   I asked for cod without garlic. They got it filled with Garlic. It was also chewy and inedible. My friend ordered the rice with shrimps and clams, that was also inedible. we expected better.   Restaurant with a cute outdoor seating area on the second floor. There’s enough shade so even during the hot afternoon, it was nice sitting outside.   Ordering the right drinks here was hard, getting the correct food was harder. It seems fries here a considered a dessert or so, but at least not part of the meal.   My boyfriend and I came as we were really exciting in trying the “arroz de pato” and we were extremely disappointed. The rice was very undercooked with a burnt layer on top. There was more rice than duck and it was all flavourless. The atmosphere was awful. There were 2 areas to dine, one to the left and one to the right. We were sat in one area filled with other people which made the area extremely hot. We thought nothing of it as we understand that it’s summer and hot and Sintra can be crowded. But to our surprised we saw the next area completely empty with tables, windows open and fans running making it fresh in that area and they kept seating everyone who walked in to the crowded hot area. It was a terrible experience and never again. On top of everything they attempted to charge us €4 for bread and olives that we did not have.   The service was fast and friendly. Also the view and atmosphere here is great. Pricing is average for the area too. We go the mixed fried plate which was the fried cod, tuna, and shrimp balls. They were ok, the cod had a few bones still in it too. We also got the tomato rice and green soup. Both were not bad. However, the hot ciabatta rolls were good.   This intimate space is light and airy but tucked away from the tourists. The green soup we had here was easily one of the highlights of an amazing gastronomical week in Portugal. The mussels were also the biggest I've had. This was a delightful meal in every way. I don't typically write reviews, but had to write this one.   We had dinner today at Cantinho da vila. The place looks nice and the staff is friendly but that's where the good things end. We first had the couver (bread, olives and butter) which was nice. We also ordered the octopus salad which was not good, since the octopus was undercooked and we could bearly chew it. I ordered the chorizo soup but there was no chorizo on it and when I mentioned it to the waiteress she just said sorry but didn't offered to replace it. For mains we had the bacalhau a bras which was ok but nothing special and the rice with seafood which was blant with no flavor and actually overcooked. I forgot to mention that for a bottle of water (1.5 liters) we paid 5.5 euros... For the amount paid (50 euros) it felt like a waste of money and I can't recommend it to anyone. Esqueci-me de referir que por uma garrafa de água (1,5 litros) pagamos 5,5 euros... Pelo valor pago (50 euros) pareceu-me um desperdício de dinheiro e não posso recomendá-lo a ninguém. Economize seu dinheiro e coma em outro lugar, ou espere para voltar a Lisboa se estiver lá para uma viagem de um dia.

  Should’ve stepped out when we saw the bad reviews. To be fair, the food was okay. It’s not amazing. But the service is downright terrible, and the place was infested with flies, food waste bin is right beside your table. We were also served breads and olives and cheese that we didn’t order, and when the server gave it to us she said “some starters for you”. Anyone would’ve assumed it was complimentary but hell we got charged 10€ for them. We didn’t even eat half of them. (Traduzido pelo Google) Deveria ter saído quando vimos as críticas negativas. Waitress collects all leftovers and then put everything in front of clients to one big plate and then throw everything to big trash bin which is located in front of tables. I'm sure that in public toilets we could have had better meals and service. No offence to public toilets. But if you do not believe.
