  I dined solo and was sat at a table close to the window. An available table right by the window, with an amazing view, opened up and I asked to switch there. They said 'no'. Fast forward 15 minutes later and the exact situation happened to a couple and they were able to switch. I'm dining solo, not a big deal, treat me like any other two person customer.   Nice rustic restaurant with a nice view to the river and that is it. That's what you pay for. Our table of 6 adults and 2 children out food was served very badly. Instead of the food arriving all at the same time it arrived in stages. My so called "Francesinha 1952" because it definitely was not a Francesinha as it should be. This was of extremely low quality, the bread was not toasted, the sauce was horrible and nothing similar to what it should taste,all the flavour was of tomato and nothing else. 45 min after we started eating the tomato rice arrived after we were practically finished. The supposed limonade was something horrible with a slice of lemon in it, the supposed "ice tea of lemon" tasted nothing like it, the orange Fanta was ok, the wine and beer was ok. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER WILL I RETURN AND I WILL PASS THIS REVIEW TO MY FRIENDS AND I WILL SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. ABSOLUTE RIPP OFF. A suposta limonada era algo horrível com uma rodela de limão, o suposto "chá gelado de limão" não tinha nada parecido, a Fanta de laranja estava ok, o vinho e a cerveja estavam ok. NUNCA, NUNCA, NUNCA, NUNCA VOLTAREI E PASSAREI ESTA AVALIAÇÃO PARA MEUS AMIGOS E COMPARTILHAREI NAS REDES SOCIAIS. RIPP ABSOLUTO.

  Came here after doing a port tasting and just ordered 4 different appetizers: francesinha, calamari, mussels and octopus. Everything was great! Service was very good and the view (even though the clear shades were down) was good- you could still see & feel you were by the river. Definitely recommend. Will try to go back during the day so we could enjoy the river view a bit more.   The restaurant located beside the river with beautiful view. The staff is very nice, with warm welcoming. Full variety of food from tapas, main, meat, seafood….Taste good and big portions. I just ordered 2 tapas and can’t finish it (one person) . Reasonable price. minor downside - draught beer only 2 choices. Highly recommend. We were 4 and ordered 7 dishes; we had a bit of trouble finishing it all, it was so generous. The food is good without being haute cuisine, but it's very good for eating on the waterfront and the prices are reasonable. 56€ for 4. The only downside is that it's very noisy.   We’ve been SCAMMED in this restaurant by the “photographer”. He asked us to take us a picture, we said NO and then he said it’s his job and we don’t need to pay. After taking the photos, he gave it to us and made us pay 5€ PER PHOTO. To be polite, we said we wanted 2 and he charged us 3 anyway.   Well, for us it was a great experience: top view to the city, fast, friendly and attentive service, cool way to serve the food (sandwich on skateboard at neighbor table and a crowdy but comfortable atmosphere. The food was really good, we had Gambas de Alho, Francesinha and some sides + an overwhelming dessert (creme brulee). Of course it was not 'cheap', but absolutely adequate considering the location, the quality and the service.   The food was okay. Good sized portions and okay flavour, nothing that will make you say “this dish blew my mind”. Additionally the staff were slightly rude at times, definitely would not describe them as friendly - which was disappointing. Also, a ridiculous notion of “no tap water”. If you have taps, you can do tap water - especially since your council is trying to reduce plastic bottle waste. Another thing that I found unnecessarily annoying. I would not revisit.   The food i ordered was delicious (salmon and garlic fries)! The tables were cute because they reminded me of real tiles which you can find everywhere in porto! I liked that you could order through a paper without much interaction with the waiters however i did notice something that didn’t sit quite right with me. And there was one female server with a very grumpy look that snipped whenever she needed another server. There were 3 of us, with a 9-month-old baby. Without even asking, they have brought us a baby high chair to make it comfortable. The restaurant decor was very tacky and music was too loud to enjoy a conversation. Most of the view indoors was obstructed by a dirty plastic barrier. The menu was very long and upon asking the waiter which main courses were fresh (none… all the ones I inquired about were from frozen such as the fish), I decided on just eating appetizers. They were all greasy and not authentic food which a traveller hopes to eat. It was like they were trying to copy American appetizers, but did a bad job. I regretted not stopping in at any of the nearby local restaurants with authentic food and nice views. Service was quite pushy. Washrooms were dirty.   As other commenters had said this place is a tourist trap. Yes the views are nice but you can get nice views almost anywhere in this area. The food was greasy and tasted like heated up frozen food. As Gordon Ramsey always says in Kitchen Nightmares it is a shame to serve frozen not fresh food. We should have clued in that this was the case when the menu was 10+ pages long (another Gordon Ramsey tip) and the service was very pushy when arriving. Save your money and do not come here.   When we entered we waited a few minutes and the waiter directly brought us to a table and best of all the table had a view directly on the ocean. It was great and the waitress was very nice too! I’m guessing it’s not prepared fresh. They gave us tuna and olives to start, didn’t ask us if we wanted them, but still charged us for them. We had sangria, it was too sweet and not enough alcohol. We tried a couple other dishes and were really left unimpressed by it all. For the views of Porto while sipping a beer, great place to go, but not for a nice dinner, we left disappointed. We paid over €70 for a family of 5, which by all accounts is pretty reasonable, but the quality just isn’t there. I still felt it was overpriced for the poor quality food we received.   Timing: the timing was not ideal. The main course was brought while the starters weren't finished. We were a group of eight and the last persons food was brought when the first one had finished. Food: the food was salty but good. The salad is not recommended. Waste of money. Accomodation: nice location but too crowded. We had to yell to hear each other.   My husband and I visited here for dinner. It was early so it was mostly empty and they sat us at a table which faced some buildings. I asked if we could sit at the table facing the river and they said it was reserved. Which I was fine with, except it was still unoccupied by the time we left. We ordered a bottle of vinho verde which was brought to us room temperature and stuck in a bucket of water with a little ice in it. My octopus that I ordered was slimy, and our crab appetizer was cold. The staff was not exactly friendly either.   We happened to stumble in here by chance for a quick bite and liked it so much, that we had to come back later for more. First, a late lunch for four was just excellent and super tasty. We're all vegetarian or piscetarian, so choice normally is limited. But we had more than enough choice and everything was just yummy. Later the two of us came back and enjoyed more options. The place was much more busy now and we were happy to sit outside, because it got kind of noisy. The staff was everywhere, seeing everything, and serving correctly and quick. Be very carefull at the moment of the payment, I wasn't and they invoiced me 5 euros of 'couvert' (bread, cheese...) despite the fact they doesn't BRING IT ON THE TABLE at all !!! I feel a little cheated after ordering a half portion, then receiving (and paying for) a whole portion, then having to pay for olives and cheese I did not ask for.   Specifically asked to stay seated closest to the bridge view side and said I wouldn't mind wait for that view. 15 later I was seated in the back of the room where the view was the top of all others in the room. Had to wait for the glasses after the drinks were served, second round was charged but not brought to the table, food was mediocre for the fame and reviews the restaurant had. Do not recommend at all. Tourists come to see the excellence of our food and that restaurant only shows bad food quality, poor cooking skills and appalling customer service. Walk 2 minutes and go to the Chinese restaurant buffet and get your money's worth.   We have actually returned from Sancho Panza. Food that we ordered was really good. We shared codfish croquettes, deep fried cod and some calamares. Prices are really decent in comparison with portion size and quality. 3 stars because they brought us the bread and additions, we said no yet it still appeared on our bill. Couvert was 6 euros. We got our money back but I assume we were not the only ones with expensive bread added. Watch out for what you pay. Despite good food I will not be returning.
