  Edit: TLDR - Do not waste your money or time eating here regardless of the reviews. Most, if not all positive reviews are bought/fake. Thankfully, Google representative is investigating and will take action. ----- I do not understand how there's good reviews for this restaurant. The music and ambience were depressing. The pork spring rolls tasted store-bought with an unseasoned side salad. The green mussels were not fresh and made us sick. We had to leave after the appetizers and they charged us for the mussels, even after what happened. Sincerely disappointed.   Service was super good! I ordered the foie gras as a starter and it was delicious! The steak was super good too and there was a lot of customization to the food.   Every thing is so nice here!!! The staff are all really nice and patient! The pork roll is cold so they change is very quickly and remove it from the bill.   Wonderful meal,lived up to reviews and made the visit well worthwhile. Octopus is a personal favourite and this starter did not disappoint.Simply grilled with interesting sides.   The food is great and mainly that's all. If I go to a restaurant I'm going there for experience, not just great food. The staff is kind, they get your order and deliver you what you wish to eat but nothing more. In a higher end restaurant to which this place is trying to position itself, I would expect that they regularly check on the customers if everything is ok and at least refill the wine. Also if I go to the toilet I shouldn't be the one to struggle with finding a roll of paper and putting it to where it should be standing. But the most interesting experience was when we found a piece of plastic in our food for that the waiter apologised of course. However in a higher end restaurant (which my assumption is that this place tries to position itself) the manager should come and say sorry or remove from the bill the food which had a piece of plastic in it. We were there 2 times, the food was ok, and thats all. Sadly its not a place where I would return again despite of the food. If I go for experience to a restaurantand if 2 nights in a raw we have the same service I would think either the positioning/branding of the place is misleading, or the management should reconsider some of the practices.   This was the restaurant I was more excited to visit from the reviews. My partner and I had 2 very different experiences food wise. I ordered the filet steak with peppercorn sauce and although slightly overcooked for a medium, the meat was tender and tasty, the sauce was easily the best one I have ever had. My boyfriend had the prawn fettucini which was bland to the point of tasteless, the prawns didn't feel fresh and he got a dodgy stomach the next day. The decor and service are good and location off the beaten path makes it feel less touristy. Potential to be great but some flaws that can easily be corrected.   Food was really nice, but let down by poor service, soon as we arrived we gave our name as we'd booked days earlier, but she just had a blank look on her face, then just plucked an empty table for us. Had to ask her light our table candle as she just disappeared, she brought our food without saying anything then left again without saying anything, had to get her attention for vinegar for our meal, which was in little packets, not once did she come over & ask if everything was ok with our meal, felt so let down by the service as I was expecting more from this place, cost us just under 100 euros for the two of us, so a little more attention would have been nice as this was an anniversary meal. We shared the Parmesan croquettes for a starter which was really tasty served with a side salad I had the prawn and monkfish in garlic cream sauce and it was really delicious. My fiancé and my mother were super uncomforable so I let them know in the end about the experience.   Fantastic restaurant. The best in Albufeira without a doubt. I have been traveling in Portugal for more than a month and this restaurant stands out and is easily in the top 3. It is a family business (initials of the family members give the restaurant its name). Run by a husband and wife duo. They do not cook but they have formed a delicious menu. They know how to tantalize your taste buds. Everything I tried was fantastic. For starter, the cream of prawn soup is amazing. For the main dish, the fish of the day is always impressive. The desserts are also phenomenal. And they have 1927 (the upscale brand of super bock, named after the year super bock was established as a company) to accompany their dishes. Try the 1927 weiss and 1927 japanese rice. You will love them both. The owner lady is such a lovely person. Do not hesitate to chat with her and ask for suggestions.   Booked a table for my birthday before we left the UK after seeing the restaurant on a TV programme.. Greeted my lovely waitress who showed us to our table, decorated with Happy Birthday sprinkles on it..Had black pork/creamy mash which was delicious followed by chocolate martini with a surprise candle and sparkler in it, which nearly made me cry I felt so spoilt by all the girls.   Food was unreal, I got the fish of the day which was seabass and it was so good, amazing flavours. Partner got the creamy garlic prawns with monkfish and rice and really enjoyed it also.   This was the stand out meal for us in Portugal (and we have had some great food). It was classy and great service. The food was sublime and every course carefully and beautifully presented. And, while it seemed light years away from the gutter-trash vibe of the Albufeira strip it was probably only 20% more than those places.   I visited with my parents, they never like to eat in busy areas and always like to find a back street. My dad spotted the sign and we looked at the menu and knew it would be the kind of place we would enjoy. A small menu generally always means the food is of an excellent quality, made with love and care. We couldn’t have been more right. Romain and his team deliver excellent service, fantastic wine and exquisite food. We had the octopus, mussels and scallops to start, all absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. We had a bottle of vino verde - a new favourite of ours. My mother and I ordered the seabass and my father the prawns and monkfish. The seabass was incredible, butterflied to perfection. My father really enjoyed his prawns and monkfish - something that isn’t easy to cook and requires skill. We could not stop smiling at how perfect the decision to eat there was. My father ordered the parfait for dessert. As it was the kings coronation, romain offered us a digestif and we sat talking with him for a good half an hour. It is always a pleasure to speak with people and understand their story. A perfect evening in a perfect restaurant. We can’t recommend it enough.   The restaurant is beautiful inside, all the classy touches; glass-wear, silverware, furniture & art. The ambiance is inviting and they played a great set of tunes. Service was good. The prawn bisque was deliciously rich and so tasty but did not enjoy having to take the shell off the prawn- no one wants to put their hand in hot soup. The green lip mussels were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was flavorful but too much panko for me. My duck was very tasty even with out a sauce- flavored well & cooked perfectly and the mango salad complimented it well. My husbands black pork was very tender and delicious with the sweet sauce. We had reservations and we’re seated at the front table next to the window- this was a fantastic table.   This was our best meal out in Albufeira. Such a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food! We had the fillet steak and a tofu salad. Both dishes were really tasty. The salad was originally a halloumi salad but they swapped the halloumi for tofu to make it vegan. It had really great flavours despite being just a salad!   We had dinner on two occasions while we were in Albufiera, I would recommend that you book in advance as quite a few people waiting outside. Food was lovely, but a limited selection, which can be a good thing. Don't expect fast food, everything is cooked to order, but worth the wait.   5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend booking first cause we couldn’t get a seat one day we tried without reservation. We have actually come twice within our 5 day trip to eat here and would go again! Every meal was perfection in itself. Since we came twice, we have almost tried every dish on the menu and we couldn’t be any happier with the quality and taste of the food. The service was superb!   For the most part, really tasty food and friendly service. The starter of scallops and noodles was delicious, as was the monkfish and prawn dish as the one of our mains. My sea bream was good, albeit a few too many bones and cartilage for my liking! I understand this is unavoidable in some cases. We can't forget the outstanding bread and butter pudding for dessert too - delicious. The house rosé was also very good - super refreshing. However, there were a couple of small issues we encountered. We ordered the mussels as a starter, but a miscommunication issue meant we didn't receive them. We were offered them later on after our mains, but it was too late. I did raise this with the staff, but one member told me it was my mistake, despite the fact our initial server walked away as we took a moment to think about our order. Parts of the service were great, but at times we were rather ignored - perhaps because we were younger guests.   Sought out this place after following their story on Chanel 4’s “A new life in the sun” to support their adventure. We found a very special restaurant, off the beaten track and like nothing else in Albufeira. Down a tiny side alley, off a corner of the main square, passed the €5 English Breakfast bars in the old town, the ambiance was unique, sophisticated, heavenly. The food was on another planet… scallops with noodles, steak salad, black pork …. All were utterly delicious. If you don’t go, you will have missed the point of Albufeira, but pop along and book for the next day or you will be disappointed as it gets busy.   Had a fantastic meal here on our final night in Albufeira. The restaurant itself is a little hidden away, down an alleyway just off the main strip but that means it's away from the hustle and bustle, and it's a little quieter. It was a hot evening but the staff were keen to make us comfortable and brought us some bottled water as well as making sure the AC was on - we soon cooled down. The food was fantastic from starters to desserts. I had the duck & mango salad for my main and the parfait for dessert, I strongly recommend both! My friends had the fish of the day, which was sea bass, and for dessert they had key lime pie and bread and butter pudding - all of which they greatly enjoyed. If you're looking for a nice, chilled restaurant with excellent food and service, for a great price, this is the place!   👌 Perfect! At first, I had a doubt by looking at the photos but it's SO much better in real life. Wow. The architecture alone is worth a visit. I love the vertical garden and the glass wall in the bathroom. The outside too, newly renovated in a clean and quiet but cosy alley in the old town center Also, the food looks good and the large chunk of fish of the day was superbly fresh. The personnel was friendly. They had a funny Brasil girl who's practicing English and an English owner that knows a lot of languages.   Very very friendly stuff, great service, beautiful place, but…the food was unfortunately nothing special. Yes, octopus with water melon sounds nice, but in fact it did not taste good. You basically eat it all separately… Fish of the day was fine and well cooked. But the side dishes was nasty leafs of salad and 4 small overcooked potatoes… Disappointed. Was read all good reviews and did expect more.   Had a lovely dinner here tonight. Ambience, service and food are of great quality! Octopus was the best octopus I have ever tried.   Worst service ive had during my stay in Albufeira. Rude and unprofessional english waiter really let the other staff down. Argued with me and my girlfriend infront of waiting customers about corked wine we had to send back 4 times. Maybe he can use the very generous (considering the circumstances) €7 tip to buy some glasses or a lesson in how to cork a bottle of wine. Il add, the glasses are so he might be able to see the small bits of cork floating in glasses before he serves more un-satisfied customers.   One of the best meals we have ate. They managed to squeeze us in even though we arrived 40 minutes early. Atmosphere and setting is perfect. Scallops and octopus were melt in the mouth the Tomahawk is a must if your a steak lover. Medium rare cooked to perfection. The deserts and cocktails were to die for.   The highlight of the dining experience in Albufeira ! Visited to celebrate birthday of my partner, called and asked if possible to arrange something like a candle in dessert or something similar. Woman who answered the phone said no problem. Arrived and table was decorated with confetti and birthday words on the wall. Immediately it showed that staff who works there tries to go extra mile ! We ordered food and we were in delight from every bite. Chef who cooks there is a star , passion and attention to details shows love to what this restaurant is all about.   Stumbled on this charming place, running away from all the guys trying to lure you into their (empty) places. So glad we did! Small but very nice menu, filled with all our favourites. Scallops, foie gras, duck, shrimps... all dishes were light, with the right amount of crispy elements, something sweet, something sour... modern cooking the way we love. The host recommended a splendid rich white to accompany our culinary adventure. So...stop searching, choose STAAR (which is Dutch for an eye disease- not sure they know...) a great hidden gem!   Wow what a find. Best restaurant I've ever been to in Albufera (and I've been to many) Romain and Anna have created through blood sweat (and tears I imagine) a super place with lovely decor, great chill-out music & superb food, you will not be disappointed. We had the fabulous Tomahawk steak which was perfectly cooked, this is a must whether or not you have a good appetite as we do & it was still a bit too much for the two of us. Atmosphere brilliant and Romain has an interesting story whatever subject of conversation. For a London boy who'd believe he's actually an avid Villa supporter😉.
