  Agradavelmente surpreso! Não esperávamos uma noite tão linda. Comida autêntica de primeira classe servida por um serviço simpático. Recebemos bons conselhos sobre a comida durante toda a noite. É oferecida toda a culinária da Índia, dividida em Norte Sudoeste e Leste da Índia.   The waiter took our order and then told us we should have a completely different thing and she was completely correct. The team is really knowledgable and passionate about what they are doing here. The chef came and spoke to us for 15 minutes, giving a run down on history and etiquette, finished with an ice cream tasting and an invitation to a masterclass in the kitchen the next time we’re back :) Highly recommend this restaurant!   We had a very good meal! We left the choices regarding type of food to serve to the staff, which turned out great. Also having to eat gluten, lactose and soja free was no issue at all.   Brilliant from start to finish. We said to the waiter that we were happy to eat whatever he recommended. He then suggested that he choose three starters for us and based on how we found them he would then select some mains - what turned out to be a very clever idea. Everything was delicious and the naan bread was the best I’ve ever had by quite some distance. The head chef came out to have a chat about the flavours and the regions each dish were from, which was really interesting. Finally, we had a selection of homemade Indian ice creams for dessert….on par with the best ice cream I’ve ever had and the flavour combinations were so unique.   We had an incredible dinner for our large family of 10! The chef paid us attention and explained the best ways to eat the food and the different spices and curries; where they came from, why they are the way they are, etc! We did it so they just bring out what they thought was best based on your meat and spice preferences, and that is by far the best way to go.   Fabulous meal, the best Indian we've ever eaten. We opted to let the owner choose our starters and mains, after saying our likes/dislikes and incredibly my Husband who's a vegetable hater (🙄) absolutely loved the fried spinach leaf starter and is now miraculously cured 😆. We had a lamb and chicken main dish, both meats just melted in our mouths. You also have a lesson in which order the food should be eaten, the region it would be eaten in and the benefits of some of the spices. We couldn't manage a dessert but a small bowl of ginger home made ice cream was served to us and it was totally amazing!! Next time (there definitely will be one), I would skip the starter to just fill up on the ice cream 😀. Thank you so much and we look forward to joining you on a cookery class.   I kid you not, first time I ever received a proper service at a restaurant in Portugal. The waiter asked me how spicy I like the food and that was about it. He took care of the rest. The chef stopped by twice to check in on me and they even brought out a dessert on the house.   What an amazing hidden gem. We went for an afternoon meal and we were blown away. The food was to die for. Veg starters that i would never have tried given the choice but it was delicious. The chef asked what we liked back home and he created a dish to suit our taste. My partner said it was the best lamb he has ever tasted and my chicken dish was amazing, full of flavour no grease in sight .Larger portions than we were expecting.   Went here on Christmas day and was honestly Blown away! Went here based on a recommendation from a friend as I have a curry house I usually visit in Vale de Lobo. This was better for sure, one of the best curries I have had. The service was exceptional - we were greeted by one of the staff who asked what I liked, based on this I ordered a chicken dish which was nice and spicy, cant remember the name of it but it was great. The Chef came out after and we all gave him plaudits for an outstanding meal. The chef then recommended Ice Cream which is usually a no go for me as I dont have much of a sweet tooth but this ice cream was incredible, so many exciting flavours like chilli and ginger.   Mixed green starter was lightly tempurered batter. First bite is crunch then it gets softer and the first hit is sweet from the tamarind sauce. Next comes a subtle layer of spice. In that order every time. A roller coaster for the senses. No picture but chicken tikka starter was so incredibly succulent. For mains the waiter recommends a lamb dish menu "from Eastern Indian" off menu. Not top spicy as requested but my goodness tender and absolutely delicious. 8 big prices of juicy lamb. Also had a lovely chicken dish. The owner/head chef comes out for chat. What a lovely guy. The old school touches. 10/10 experience. All the staff are also brilliant.   The most amazing Indian experience! The Chef welcomed us and guided us through the flavours of different regions of India and the food was incredibly and perfectly cooked. The entire meal was a flavourful and unforgettable experience. Also the employees were very nice and caring. Might just be the best Indian restaurant of Portugal!   Head chef came out to our table, introduced himself, asked what ingredients we liked, how spicy we like our curry, and then said he would create our order for us.   I've been to this restaurant a few times. The Food is quite nice but everything has a pretty similar 'earthy' flavor. I've tried many dishes but unfortunately they don't seem to have much variety. It's very nice as a one time experience though. Last evening the chef came to our table several times and was upselling dishes that ended up being way more expensive than the dishes on the menu. We said we weren't very hungry but he recommended an amount that ended up being absurd. We ended up paing over 100€ for what was supposed to be a 'small' dinner. That was annoying in my opinion.   Can’t recommend this Indian restaurant enough! We lived in South East Asia for many years and since moving to Portugal this place is the only place where we really loved Indian food every time we travel down to the Algarve, actually even better then the ones in Lisbon. The chef and staff are 5 stars and they treat the kids to wonderful tasty Indian food too. They always have a smile on their faces! I would love to keep this secret to myself but they deserve to be known. Avoid the other Indian restaurants around (food wise they are 2 stars).   Came here with a big group, chef asked us what meat we liked and our spice preference and then brought out many sharing dishes. Food was excellent, even the cauliflower and spinach ( I don’t regularly like either ) was amazing. 10/10 would highly recommend, we’ll 100% be back. The team were super helpful over WhatsApp before I placed my takeaway order. In the end I decided to visit before actually ordering, so I could talk with the chef about what I wanted. I’m glad I did.   If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars then I would. It is by far the best Indian food I have ever had and I have eaten at Michelin star Indian restaurants in London. We arrived to very warm welcome and showed to a table outside as it was a gorgeous night. We had the chef come to the table and go through the history and what our tolerance to spice were. From this point on the menu was taken away and we ate what the chef recommended which was an absolute delight. From the starters to desert it was a dream including how to eat it which meant ditching the cutlery and using our hands and some amazing bread. If you have never had Indian food then you need to vist if you have already had lots of Indian food then you need to vist to see what you have been missing all these years.   Absolutely superb - probably the best Indian food I have tasted ( including a 6 week trip around India). The Maitre’D recommended 3 starters : an Indo-Chinese Cauliflower, a spinach and a chicken tikka. Brilliant. Then we let him choose mains which were delicious prawn, chicken and lamb dishes with excellent Nan and rice. The whole dinner was an education with the Maitre’D and then the chef explaining the culture of India and its food, and how best to eat it for full benefit. For instance I didn’t realise that Vindaloo isn’t the hot dish we know in the UK but a dish that should only be made with pork, Rogan Josh with lamb only etc. The staff were all professional and attentive. Nice ambiance. The menu is split into recommended dishes, then a page of North, South,East, West dishes. An altogether wonderful meal and highly recommended. Todo o jantar foi educativo com o Maitre'D e depois com o chef explicando a cultura da Índia e sua comida, e a melhor forma de comê-la para obter todos os benefícios. Por exemplo, não percebi que Vindaloo não é o prato quente que conhecemos no Reino Unido, mas sim um prato que só deveria ser feito com carne de porco, Rogan Josh apenas com cordeiro, etc. Os funcionários foram todos profissionais e atenciosos. Ambiente agradável. O cardápio é dividido em pratos recomendados e depois uma página de pratos Norte, Sul, Leste e Oeste. Uma refeição totalmente maravilhosa e altamente recomendada.

  We stopped by here on a trip to Mar shopping and what a great decision it was. To say the food is delicious is an understatement as it is simply fantastic. All the dishes we had were recommendations from the waiter and the amount of flavour was amazing. To me this is a contemporary restaurant, but to the chef it’s traditional Indian and not the British style food we’re so used to. Highly recommended! UPDATE: we’ve just visited again and it was equally as good as last time. This time we had the Thali which is good value at €25 per head at lunchtime.   This is one of the tastiest and most authentic Indian restaurants I’ve ever experienced, highly recommend! Go with an open mind and rely on the server’s knowledge to recommend. The fried Spinach starter is delicious and every curry we had was perfect. The milk sponge dessert is amazing too. The service is extremely high standard and they are keen to explain the origins and traditions that accompany the food.
