  Yum! I was really impressed! Worried it would be more touristy food, but no legit they have spicy salsa and tacos! After living in Portugal for some time finding really spicy is hard, but so glad we found it here at Malacopa.   The food is amazing, very well decorated and fair prices. They have a nice selection of drinks, and try Goiaba. However, be prepared for the worst service ever. Waiters was extremely bad humoured and a bit impolite, and it took over 40 minutes to bring food. The food didn't arrive in the same time for me and my cousin, it was with 20 minutes of difference.   Saw this as a recommended spot on Trip Advisor. And it did not disappoint! Spicy Mango Margarita was sensational and the tacos were delicious. The tempura white fish one was 10/10. Just up a side street in Cascais - worth visiting if you want a casual meal with lovely drinks. Nice little buzz around the place too on the street.   Amazing food, and equally amazing staff! They were all so friendly and made us feel at home here. My girlfriend is celiac, and they were very knowledgeable on what was gluten free and were able to adapt menu items to be gluten free (most things are gluten free already) Whenever I'm back in Portugal I'm coming here again!   For 3 years we keep coming back to Malacopa, anytime we can. The menu keeps improving with some new tastes but our best is still the Tostada de Atun. We have tried several dishes and keep trying different cocktails, but I always go back to Mulleta, my favorite.   The restaurant is well located and on a beautiful street with nice decor. However, once service starts, it quickly goes downhill. We ordered the self-assemble tacos (normally 7+ tacos), but were served only 4 tortillas with very small portions of two sauces, pico and guacamole. In order to get more tortillas, the wait was over 10 minutes and the food was then freezing. Also, we were not provided plates, and had to eat our tortillas on napkins. The prices of the tacos are not the same on the menu in person as the menu shown on the pictures on Google. In both cases, it’s overpriced.   Fun little spot in Cascais with good food, drinks and music. Service was fast and friendly. Shrimp tacos were small but packed with flavor. Drinks were on point. I’m part Mexican and although this wasn’t as good as the real thing, it’s still pretty good.   Most delicious meal I’ve had in Spain and Portugal so far. As good as any tacos and Mexican food I’ve had in Southern California. I had the shredded beef taco. My dad had the pollo. And we had guacamole and refried beans with chips. We finished off with the churros which come with a delicious caramel chocolate sauce for dipping.   We live in Lisbon and have been to this restaurant many times. The food and service are always very good. The tacos are meant to be eaten after an appetizer or two. Our normal lunch is guacamole, ceviche and then tacos. Beef tacos for me and shrimp for my wife. The taco dishes are 2 smaller tacos, 3 bites, pretty typical for Portugal. They are not huge Telmex tacos like in Texas but they are very good quality. We certainly recommend this place for a great lunch.   The food is very refreshing, perfect after a day in the sun. The margaritas are also the best I’ve ever had. Service can be a bit slow, but the food makes up for it.   This is easily the best Mexican food I’ve had in Portugal - better than Paco Bigotes in Sao Joao or Potzalia in Lisbon. Their salsas are excellent, the tortillas are good quality, the presentation is excellent and staff were very nice indeed. Don’t listen to the ignorant negative reviews. I lived in Mexico City for a year and ate tacos every other day and I now live in Cascais and I would say this is top three restaurants in town.   Service was understaffed, it took ages to get a menu or drinks. All staff seemed to take a break at the same time enjoying themselves upstairs 🙄 In response to the restaurant, this was on Thursday 20 April around 15:00-16:00. My friend went to the bathroom and saw all staff upstairs. Whilst the girl was running the outside and inside tables and making drinks and receiving deliveries. Such a shame.   First of all, this is a less busy place than its famous neighbour next door, but you might end up at least as pleased. The Margaritas are absolutely great and I'd even come just for the drinks. The tacos are superb, served with multiple sauces and additions that all fit well together. The service was a bit messy, but it won't be structural as it was just a new employee.   Went few times for dinner on this trip to Malacopa, met the funny and attentive Gui who always had a good care of our tables. Great steak and the red wine Marques de Borba was fabulous. I highly recommend Malacopa and they also can manage very well large birthday groups. If you prefer more privacy the interior also very cozy.   Alot of options on the menu. We went for 4 different tacos/quesedillas and were not disappointed. Juicy and tender meat and the ingredients tasted fresh. The guacamole was really good. Both inside and outside had a nice vibe to it. The staff changed the music volume 4 times so at one point we had to shout at each other across the table.   I have to say it was the most delicious food we have had while we were in Cascais, however, GUI the manager couldn’t have been more unprofessional if he tried. He yelled at staff in front of the customers, being so insulting that he made staff cry. It was clear he was out of line and very unprofessional as a manager. The rest of the staff were AMAZING and the food DELICIOUS. My lunch buddy, Anil, and I tore through the tempora shrimp tacos, split the Swiss enchiladas, and devoured the tinga de pollo (chicken) and barbacoa de res (beef) tacos. Aided by generous portions of two salsas- habanero and verde that had an exact heat-to-flavor ratio, they were the perfect complement to the meal. This place will be hard to beat.
