  We stopped at the Taberna Clandestina for an aperitif. As an Italian I'm generally quite picky when it comes to it, but I must say that they are doing a very good job. The Aperol Spritz was as good as it gets and the plate with prosciutto e burrata was really good as well. It's not 5* just because I would personally have adjusted the menu to more seasonal options, unfortunately melons in november as not so good anymore. Apart from it. Great experience!   We had dinner here twice, a Friday night, the food was delicious, I had a small antipasti style platter all to myself and the service was great, it was busy with a lively atmosphere which we really enjoyed. So, we went the following Monday, our last night in Cascais and it was sadly chaotic and disorganised. The food however, was top notch, ‘the best carbonara I’ve ever tasted’ to quote my other half. And he’s eaten that in Italy! Our drinks were forgotten so we had to scratch them from our bill, I was so looking forward to that Porto Tonic! It was hard to get anyone’s attention but I would still recommend this place, it seemed they may have had some new staff that night so if I’m ever back there, I would definitely revisit as I think the experience we had on the Friday is more of what you can expect.   Really disapointed. We came the afternoon to book a reservation. They told us don’t worry come at 8 we will find you a table. When we arrived they told us that the waiting was 20mn. After 1 hour and giving tables to people arriving after us, we decided to leave. Neverthemind, they propose you to consume drinks standing in the street at 5cm of the cars rolling. The manager is the nicest lady Ive met in the hospitality industry and offered us cocktails while we waited for our table. This little street has a great vibe from the 3 to 4 restaurants there. The lines get longer after 8 pm, so try to be there before then. We ordered a bunch of things, had plenty of wine, enjoyed all of it and most of all, enjoyed talking to our waiters. You are served by everyone. You sit fairly close to other people which makes for great introductions if people don't mind it. Glad I found this place on Google. Slightly on the pricier side, however the food is amazing. the plates themselves aren’t the biggest but definitely not that small either. Wide selection of delicious cocktails which are surprisingly quite affordable too. Great service and atmosphere. Very quick and skilled workers. Only issue is the seating isn’t the best. Place is always full which is a great sign, however this means sometimes people are cramped next to each other which isn’t the most pleasant.   We had a drink at Mana bar and got chatting and were recommended to book Clandestina that we did online - though only possible to 6.30pm. The people in this place must be the friendliest group I’ve ever been served by in a restaurant. The food was superb. If in Cascais then come here. Though if you haven’t booked then be prepared to wait. Seemed to flow with 15 to 30 min waits for those I spotted. We had a window seat and were drinking wine and people watching for 2.5h. The restaurant is 5 mins from town centre and you will find its worth the trip. Love this place.   The yellow street is full of excellent restaurants and bars, but this one is certainly one of the best! Food was excellent, the manager and entire staff are super friendly and attentive.   It's probably wise to make a reservation, as this is a popular place that often has limited seating. I had the pulled pork focaccia, and honestly that name simply does not do it justice. It was completely delightful, somehow both lighter and more flavorful than I'd imagined. Hand-made focaccia, too. For dessert I chose the brownie (made with raspberries), accompanied perfectly by what seemed to be basil lime sorbet. Incredible. I highly recommend this place. The staff are also wonderful.   Really good experience in Cascais, Taberna Clandestina is a tavern consisting of two rooms and a terrace in crowded street. When we came all tables were full, but waiter approached us and accomodate us very well. We received nice info about food and vine.   First of all, the staff here is more than friendly (all these stars to them). Unfortunately, it's too busy here now. The place is small, too small to have a relaxed dinner.   Randomly found this restaurant on google map. The side dishes of the octopus tasted nice. Loved the chili dip for the fried seafood. We also ordered prawns with special avocado-Koriander sauce (I guess) and mango. Got free shots at the end of the meal.   Found this place while strolling around in Cascais with my dad. Ate one of the best octopus i’ve ever tried. Going back there for sure to try the whole menu!   The street in which this place is located is calm during the day and animated at night. It has been nicely decorated and you really feel the sea vibes in here.   Food is 4 out of 5 star. It's good but nothing special. I would not go back. Service is 2 out of 5 star. I waited 21 minutes before I got water, sitting outside on a warm day. The waitress had to come back to ask for my order 30 minutes later. After thsy everything went faster. The place was not busy at all!! Unfriendly atmosphere, do not recommend.   The place was located on a small street with many restaurants. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. I began with a mojito which was very tasty and refreshing in the summer heat. The meat and cheese board was also very good. Everything was extremely flavorful and the plate was cleared. I then had the Prego which was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked to my asking and the focaccia was soft complimented perfectly by the mustard inside. I also loved the potato fritters that came with the meal and found it was quite a unique way to prepare them. Finally, I had the brownie and lime ice cream for dessert. The brownie had raspberries insides and it was the perfect combination. The lunch ended with a complimentary Limoncello shot. The staff was very warm and the setting was cutely decorated.   Best restaurant I’ve been to in Portugal!! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the people at the restaurant were great, just everything about this restaurant was perfect! I especially recommend their white sangria and seafood platter, but honestly, I believe any other menu will be just as amazing as these. They also gave us free lemon shots before we left :) I loved it here and thanks for making me go home with such wonderful dining experience!! I’d give ten stars if I could!!!   Cozy is what best describes it. Very quickly filled, with max 20 seats inside, and another 10/15 outside, weather allowing. For this it is not surprising to have to wait, especially for large groups (3+!). The place is very nicely decorated, and service is quite fast and kind. Food is fresh and tasty.   Very different expirience from the start to the end with many highlights through out. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the menu was different, but interesting and the food was amazing. Come in, sit down and let them navigate you through the evening without pretending you in control. It will be night to remember.
