  My wife and I had dinner at Restaurante da Adraga this evening. The food, wine, service, and location were all beyond outstanding !! The service from Miguel, George, and Carlos (three of the five generations involved in this sensational restaurant) was absolutely amazing! And the fabulous deserts are made by Grandma! Do yourselves a favour and go....more than once if you can. Best restaurant ever for the total experience. Thank you, Rusty and Elspeth.   This was my husband and I’s favorite place we ate on our Portugal trip. The food was so incredible and the service was top notch. The stuffed crab was the favorite dish we order but both of our desserts were suburb. We would love to be able to come here all the time and could not recommend it more.   We were recommended this restaurant by someone we know from the UK who visits often. This restaurant is placed on a beautiful unique beach and the interior of this restaurant has a very traditional Portuguese sort of feel. We ordered a Kg of tiger prawns which was a lot for 2 people but it was very delicious. We went for dinner and had some cocktails and shots too. The service there was really friendly and a waiter called Miguel tended to us towards the end of the night as our first waiter went home. As we could not find a way home, Miguel drove us to our hotel which words cannot express how much he saved us this day! The food and ambience was amazing but the service and kindness of restaurant staff is what we after also, so this place really has met all expectations. If you have the chance of going with friends, make sure you share the plates to taste as many things as you can.   Great location, right on the beach. Service was slow to begin with but once we were attended to, it was very friendly. Let's get the only complaint out of the way: 80c for butter, served in a plastic peel-top - this is a high end restaurant, so a dish of butter would feel more appropriate and less cheap.   We had lunch here after touring around Sintra. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean while eating. We had the fish soup and seabass, both of which were incredible!   If you're lucky enough to stumble across this little gem, you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind, the preparations are very fresh and made to order so take your time and enjoy the view.   Amazing authentic Portuguese restaurant! We had the tiger shrimp and the Durodu fish. Both were excellent. Beautiful beach view as well. First I ordered Sangria, the air froze... then I realized what a mistake it was so I corrected it quickly to Vinho Verde and everything went back to normal, staff smiled again. We ate fish soup, shrimps, oysters, mussels... everything fresh, not over-sophisticated, delicious. I even dared to try a dessert, their Pavlova was excellent. We got grilled mackerel (not well cleaned) and cod (over cooked and terribly salty), as well as prawns in garlic (OK but needed much more garlic).   Super kind and friendly staff. They explained everything about their menu. Fish is by the gram, so not something we're used to in the US. In addition, they were frank about what to order and avoid, based on what came in for the day. That was greatly appreciated. The food was on the the expensive side, but simple and well executed all around. If you want fresh fish, served in its most simple, yet tasty form, this is your place.   We’ve been coming to this place for many years now and it’s one of the best quality food around in the area. In my view it can easily compete with the best (and more expensive and posh) restaurants along the road between Guincho Beach and Cascais, which we also know well. It is totally unpretentious and only focuses on excellent, honest food (I’ve seen a comment about disposable tablecloths but it’s not a “fine” dining restaurant). From the simple fish soup to a grilled fish, the quality is outstanding and they are also wonderful with kids, esp. the owner.   Probably the most spectacular view that any restaurant can have - its next to the ocean and you can sit for few hours looking at the sea. Its beyond gorgeous. They keep the raw fish outside on ice and you can choose the fish. Its not cheap but its is tasty. They is lot of parking space.   This is why I gave Adraga 5 Stars. One is the spectacular view to open spectacular sea with rock door formation and second excellent seafood wine and service. I went with my family and hired a local driver from the city of Sintra João and our adventure went for 5 days.If you go in November take a good jacket and make reservations due to restaurant space.Avoid this restaurant if you are not a seafood lover because you will be disappointed like one of my dougthers.Do not let waiter to bring you any wine before checking prices or get ready to pay hight like I did on the first order.   Our best night in the Lisbon area by far. The food here is excellent -fresh fish cooked perfectly, and wonderfully situated on the beach. Better still were the lovely staff, who were patient with our non-existent Portuguese. They recommend us a fantastic local wine (and not an expensive one), and we're incredibly welcoming despite being busy. A special mention to Jorge (a guess at the spelling) who dropped us back up the hill into the village upon hearing that we were planning on walking. It really made our evening! Also, to those complaining about things being 'out of stock' - that is a good sign at a fish restaurant, there shouldn't be an infinite stash of turbot...   Great setting, friendly staff and some of the best seafood and fish in the neighbourhood. Just grilled fish, squid, lobster, crab... with potato and salad, no rice dishes or fancy stuff.   This is a typical tourist restaurant. It says it's a seafood restaurant but there was a poor choice of fish available and it was overpriced. We said we were after a light lunch as we were meeting friends for dinner that night. We were shown a fish that would have fed 3 or 4 hungry people. When I asked how much it was we were told 45€. We asked for a smaller fish and eventually got a small Dorado that was 30€. A couple of days later I had a similar sized fish in a small town and paid8€ and it was delicious. Here the vegetables were overcooked and there was no sauce of any kind on the fish or vegetables, not even a knob of butter!
