  Great tapas - it was hard to pick as all sounded great and everything we had was excellent! Staff were really helpful with understanding number of dishes that were right per person etc. Portions are well sized. Gluten Free well labelled on the menu.   This is a tapas style restaurant and your food comes out as and when the dish is ready so don't expect to have all your dishes at the same time.... but this doesn't deter from the fact the food is incredible! Lovely setting as it is right on the beach front and the servers are quick, efficient and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this as a place to visit for food.   Had lunch at boaty’s, loved the ambience with the table’s in the sun. Also great dishes and service. Addendum: Also went there for a coffee, which was very bad. I really liked the lunch so I will give it 5 stars, but I would give the coffee 1 star.   Overall had a really good experience here, orders arrived quickly. Majority tasted amazing. Orange juice is fresh which is always a plus. Service was amazing, waitress was very freindly. Only thing I would mention is to give the Satay Chicken a miss, way too salty and can't really taste any Satay in that.   Fantastic location on the seafront with the most tasty dishes bursting with flavour. The tapas portions were perfectly sized and priced.   The tapas food here is absolutely delicious - the best I've been to. There were five of us eating and we all enjoyed every single dish we ordered (you don't need more than 2-3 each). The place is tastefully decorated and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were also great with catering for a nut allergy. We left with five very stuffed and happy faces. 100% recommend.   Very nice place to strike down for a drink by the beach, or for the nice tapas! Tapas comes in bigger portions, but the staff is kind enough to point it out on the first go!   Good system to order tapas but the waitress was not service minded at all when we had two incidents that she didn'tapologise for. We found a bug (alive) crawling out of the food and she forgot about one order that we still had to pay for, and recived bad excuses instead of apologising for her/or the kitchens mistake.   Food was tasty but the way you order is by ticking the dishes on a sheet which results in confusion. Ticked a dish and then changed mind and crossed it out and still got served it. When I politely told them I crossed it out they kicked up a fuss and went on a ramble about how if we don’t pay for it then it will go in the bin and is costing them money. I again reminded them that I had crossed it out but they continued to argue back and tried to insist that we eat and pay for it. Was so weird. Waiter with the curly hair also smells really bad.   I went for breakfast with my boyfriend, and he doesn’t like insects, so it was a big distraction for him when we sat at a table that was accessible to ants, i’ve been begging him to ignore the flies, and he didn’t, so it didn’t surprise me when he tried to swat one away and accidentally threw his orange juice off the table and smashed the glass. Staff were very friendly about it, luckily. Though they did get my order wrong, i’m not complaining because they offered to get me what i wanted even though i also really liked the sound of what they’d brought me instead, so i just ate that, and it was very very good. The replacement plain ones didn’t arrive so I chased this with a different waitress. She then came back and had a go at me saying I should have said I didn’t want any sauce or mayonnaise on them.   My husband and I shared three Tapas between us and it was perfect for lunch. We had the white bean and tuna salad which was very tasty. We also had the beetgazpacho with goat cheese, different but good. I thought the Moroccan pork was a little dry but the couscous that came with it was absolutely delicious. My husband had a glass of white wine and I had water. The total bill was only 24 Euro. Really quite a bargain considering the absolutely amazing view out over the beach.   Typical tourist restaurant with good service but a bit lacking with the quality of food and drinks. The Moroccan pork was great and at 5.50 EU a good value, the tuna tartare was okay though over twice the price of the pork not that great, and for us the smoked mackerel and meatballs were big misses. As it was a warm day we opted for a white sangria for 20 EU however it had very little wine and more sprite/7up to us though it looked nice with the strawberries, blue berries, and mint. For what it was it was okay but would not return if in the area again.   Was really disappointed by the customer service. The waiter dropped and poured 2 entire aperol spritz over me when out for dinner. Absolutely covered, had to go home immediately mid meal and shower and completely change. Brand new shirt and shorts ruined due to the orange aperol colouring. Not the waiter's fault as inexperienced (although saw him do the exact same the night before to someone else), but the manager clearly saw as he came over, but said nothing, no apology (the waiter did) and they took nothing off the bill.   Interesting menu, great service, and a couple of delicious dishes. I am a fan of tapas when there is some real diversity to choose from (not quantity but diversity). Boaty's has such diversity. Not eating meat, the choice is limited for me anyway, but still lots to try out, including seafood. In the end, I had dishes, a few beers, a good number of pages to read in my book, and a good view of the restaurant. Staff is great, fast, and friendly. My favourite dishes of the evening were a beetroot gazpacho (not borscht) and a smoked mackerel salad. The carrot-ginger puree that went with the crispy salmon was also delicious, but the potatoes and salmon were not as good as the puree itself. But all in all it was very yummy.   Really beautiful cafe, nice service, but bad food. I kept this cafe for our last night in Luz because it looked so good, and was very excited to go, but I ended up deeply disappointed. I tried six tapas: tuna tataki (4 thin slices of tuna on top of couscous with a sweet sauce), pulled beef (supposedly hot but served cold, also with a sweet sauce), salmon tartare (very poor quality salmon, pale pink, little taste), mackerel (mixed with a sweet and peppery mayo), garlic shrimps (good but small), and meatballs (5 small pieces, okay). There’s a sweet sauce in every dish that is reminiscent of British salad dressing... not for me. Even if the food had been good, the prices are way out of line for the area: at 65eu for 6 tapas and 2 cocktails, it ended up being our most expensive and lightest dinner (pricier than two 200gr steaks with wine!).   Lots of choice and really well cooked food. Full of flavour but the real surprise was that it wasn't as busy as the quality of the food demands of should be. Selfishly I wish it stays that way, so we can easily enjoy meal after meal there, but I really also want to see this place get the recognition it deserves! First of all, don't be deluded by the name - they call themselves a cafe, but it's more of a bar, with a hostel eatery type of vibe (except for the prices - ouch!). Really don't understand the fuss about this place - the food tastes average in quality, tiny and expensive, the seating is very uncomfortable, and the music annoyingly loud, so you can barely have a decent conversation. There are lots of much better places in the area - with better views, atmosphere, food and service. Or even better, head out to Lagos where you'll be spoilt for choice.   Visited yesterday on recommendation from my cousin who has visited earlier in the summer. It didn't disappoint, it was outstanding, filling and well presented. Staff are very friendly. Minus one star as their isn't a children's menu or option. This hasn't put us off but next time we will feed our toddler before dinner and just take him for Ice cream while we eat.   Great place to chill out with cocktails or wine and tapas in the evening. Portions aren't huge but definitely delicious. Operates as a regular cafe in the day, we liked the look of the breakfast menu but not tried it yet. The decor and ambience are good, the music a touch too loud. A good addition to the Luz dining scene. Beware though as this is a cash only venue and the sign on the door is tiny. Only spotted it on the third visit and we were looking hard.
