  Really nice to find a fully vegetarian buffet restaurant in Faro, and we enjoyed our visit. The food was interesting and worth a try, but it didn't make us want to go back. It was a bit cold inside, which possibly affected our experience. The sprout kebabs were inspired though, and I'll definitely be making some myself at Christmas. Would probably be good for a lunch, trying all the dishes and comparing notes, but didn't quite satisfy for dinner out.   Beautiful food, very good quality. Aubergines superb, not greasy at all; amazing saitan, choice of veg and salads. Roasted parsnips (I think) different that I expected while delicious. Choice of desserts, but small baked pears were just for me. Great space, clean, modern and simple while feeling warm and friendly. Large tables for bigger parties... What a place.   DaTerra is amazing! We came here nearly every day for at least one meal on our trip 😄 Such good value, whether you go for buffet or takeaway.   I enjoyed my lunch there. There was a lot of options and I enjoyed the cold ones but the hot ones tasted a bit weird to me. I was happy that such a place exists for vegetarian/vegan and I would recommend trying it. Their opening hours aren't accurate and differ on google and their website. We went on sunday and tuesday night, since it said online it's open (1st one on google and 2nd on their website) and it was closed. I went back for lunch on wednesday and that time it was open.   A must vegetarian & vegan restaurant to pop by whilst in Faro! Staff was very welcoming and friendly and you can enjoy anything you want with the buffet. I really enjoyed the meal, all the creative and delicious options. I wish I'd taken pictures to leave with the review, but the food was way too delicious!   We were actually planning to go to another place and ended up here because the other place was closed. What a lovely turn of events. We arrived at the evening buffet. It included a very nice variety of creative dishes, sort of tapas style, a few salads, and several more hot dishes. I would say around 15-20 dishes available to choose from maybe? We liked everything we tried. If you're not afraid of a little spice then you must try the spicy carrot orange juice, such a surprisingly cool idea. Simply it was all really well made, and with the added bonus of feeling that you're eating mostly healthily with no excessive use of oil or frying, and we would definitely recommend it as a place to go to for vegans (and their non vegan friends) looking for a nice varied all you can eat and creative vegan meal.   O restaurante é lindamente decorado e os pratos são deliciosos. Existe uma vasta selecção de entradas, pratos quentes e frios. Posso recomendar especialmente a sopa. Estávamos lá para almoçar, uma hora antes do restaurante fechar. Isso significava que tínhamos todo o buffet só para nós.   We had an absolutely delicious buffet dinner with lots of different options! Including salads, dips, mini burritos, lasagne, soup, and the list goes on. We also had red wine which was great, and a cheesecake. There were so many vegan options and the staff were amazing. My husband wanted to practice his Portuguese, and the waiter was very patient and responded in kind rather than immediately speaking English which we really appreciated.   I can't believe I'm writing this, but this was one of the worst culinary experiences I've had in many years. We only had one night in Faro and this food spoiled my evening. I suspect the dinner basically consists of leftovers from lunch. The couscous tasted sour. The grilled potatoes were mushy and cold. The rest was cold or too dry. The only good thing was the salad and the staff. I paid 13,50 euros to have my last dinner in Portugal ruined. Where were the mushrooms, beans, fruit, spices?! We could only find sloppy spinach inside mostly cold carby things. Yuck!!! Harsh but true. Don't go for the buffet - we walked away feeling mugged!   Nothing to write home about. It was a typical place people staying locally would go who have no imagination. The food was ok, but the coffee was terrible. You are offered to connect to their WiFi to scan a QR code to see the menu. What the waitress didn't say is it's on the wall in a large format. I wouldn't connect to an untrusted WiFi!   Esperávamos um café da manhã delicioso e atraente. Foi assim que foi visto nas fotos. No final das contas, recebemos uma refeição seca, sem gosto, preparada de maneira descuidada. The food was fresh and nutritious. After a long week of holiday eating overly seasoned and oily food, this was a refreshing break for our palettes and stomach.   Pior vegetariano que fui na vida. Comida sem sabor que até eu fazia melhor em casa. Tofu mal cozido, almôndegas de soja super secas que até diria serem congeladas, tudo muito básico. A comida está exposta sabe se lá desde que horas, tudo meio frio e sem graça. O empregado de mesa, enfim, estar ou não estar a diferença não era muita, a não ser quando reparas que ele observa o que estás a comer. Uma desilusão.

  Capturadores de turistas. Eu queria tomar um bom café da manhã sem glúten com tigela e desintoxicação e havia encontrado esse lugar dias antes. Uma ilusão. Eles mal sabem o que significa sem glúten, embora tenham uma placa no menu. Foi muito difícil encontrar um compromisso. Esperamos muito tempo por pratos rápidos. Peguei um smoothie que não estava batido, estava quente e ainda tinha todo o enorme pedaço de gelo. Minha tigela era sem graça e sem sabor. A minha amiga comeu uma panqueca que deixou porque era difícil de terminar: seca e sem sabor. O preço também é realmente uma decepção. Tudo por mais de 10€ por pessoa. Obviamente, o serviço de café também demorou muito devido a mal-entendidos (o cappuccino de soja era bom enquanto o café era intragável). Vamos esquecer a conta. Tivemos que contar tudo a ele novamente. Não podemos falar sobre as sobremesas porque não as compramos, embora parecessem boas. Sinto muito porque frequento muitos lugares como este e sei que o “detox vegano etc” custa dinheiro, mas geralmente é muito melhor do que o que você faz em casa. Enquanto estivesse aqui, eu teria preferido prepará-lo sozinho, pois me senti um pouco enganado. Sinto muito porque o lugar é muito bonito e super acolhedor!   If you have ever been to the branch at Oriente/Lisbon it is pretty bad. I think there are twice as many dishes in the buffet and they tasted much tastier and fresher, while the pasta was very overcooked and tasteless, there is salad but no raw vegetables with dips or potatoes here.   If I could give 0 start I would. Don't make the same mistake we did, spare yourself a gross bland meal and go else where. We tried the daTerra's in Porto and Lisbon and they were amazing, we thought we would have dinner here as we thought the food was going to be good. We were wrong. Should have know it was going to be bad when we first walked up to the buffet and one of the dishes had half the stuff on the plate missing (we were the first ones at the buffet) they obviously reuse everything left over from lunch. The food tasted days old, the bread was stale and nothing had any flavour! The 'curry' was literally just tofu in a tomato based sauce and the pumpkin soup was just pupkin water. Very disappointed and I would say this is probably the WORST vegan food I have ever eaten. Save your taste buds and yourself some money and go else where. Only good thing was the service was good.   The location is very central and the buffet concept sounds great. I've been to other daTerra locations in the north of Portugal and the food was always delicious, however unfortunately that's not the case for the one in Faro. First of all they randomly follow the menu presented on their website, it's supposed to be the same for all daTerra restaurants but for some reason it's not the case for this one. It has a wide selection of cold entreés and salads, but not everything feels fresh. Some options sound and taste like leftovers from the day before or from the previous meal. Also, they always "cook" tofu the same way. Notice I write "cook" because slicing tofu and placing it on a tray with a little bit of sauce isn't an acceptable way to present a tofu dish in 2022. I really hope they get it together and improve the quality of the food otherwise it will only stay open due to tourist bait and a lack of similar options in Faro.   All in All great experience! Although we had a bit of a problem with few staff, since we were there right at the beginning of opening hours and had to wait a little longer.   We had a lovely meal here. All of the options were vegan and many also gluten-free. The quality of the food was very high but it was also the cheapest meal we had out in Faro.   Have been stopping for a fast vegan lunch or dinner sometimes since I moved to Faro. Until now, when I had a pretty intense interaction with the owner. I asked for a bill and then have been told arrogantly that I can’t pay with a non-Portuguese card, I haven’t been able to say anything because the person just left extremely fast but I have been always paying with my card there before. I had a chance to ask when was giving the cash bill and has received a heavy explanation with an attitude that I talk to the owner now and when the owner is there she decides how to pay, there is another option to pay by QR which I am not really familiar with, but my friend set it up for me for payments, I couldn’t get any answer about that and was just receiving the rude reply with some comments that business loses because of high payment commissions. Even though it is a known fact about Portuguese service level, this kind of attitude I haven’t seen in the country yet, I never get to any conflicts so that’s why was pretty shocked. Also, the strange thing is that there is a coffee machine but cappuccino isn’t available(but was before). Food is 6/10, very simple, exactly like a buffet. It is obvious now why it is empty in the evenings and why the business is really losing. I don’t recommend visiting this place unless you wanna get a chance to be drained on your weekend. Apesar de ser um facto conhecido sobre o nível de serviço português, este tipo de atitude ainda não vi no país, nunca cheguei a nenhum conflito por isso fiquei bastante chocado. Além disso, o estranho é que há uma máquina de café, mas o cappuccino não está disponível (mas estava antes). A comida é 6/10, muito simples, exatamente como um buffet. É óbvio agora por que fica vazio à noite e por que o negócio está realmente perdendo. Eu não recomendo visitar este lugar, a menos que você queira ter a chance de ficar esgotado no seu fim de semana. Existem outros locais muito bonitos para comer comida vegana em Faro.

  The food was average nothing spectacular about it. Some of their stuff were quite dry and the the bread was dense and dry too. It should be advise that they don’t take any card payments unless it’s a Portuguese card which I find it strange that the company, being a chain and having other restaurant around Portugal don’t want to pay for the transaction fees on foreigners card. Rules says that first you have to empty your plate and put it on extra table so you can take new plate and keep eating more. Wifi inside. For me personally it was more of trying new tastes than enjoying the meal since almost everything was cold. Lady speaks English pretty well but that the names and descriptions of the meals are in Portuguese so I just guessed what I'm eating. Still i find it amazing there is vegan buffet in Faro, worth to try.   We found Da Terra by accident while walking into Faro on a Sunday. But, what a find! It is a quiet and relaxed place with very friendly staff. The Sunday lunch buffet was tasty with so many delicious dishes to choose from. After we had started eating, we realised there were hot dishes at the back of the buffet table - and soup, too! After we had finished our main course was the difficult choice of which dessert to have. We enjoy plant-based food and Da Terra offers a wide and excellent selection of vegan dishes. The food was so good, we visited two or three times while in Faro. Overall the food is excellent and reasonably priced. We highly recommend Da Terra.   Was visiting with my Family and were looking for a healthy yet tasty place to eat and boy were we lucky we found da Terra. The food was absolutely stunning. Great taste and very healthy! We're very much into vegan and having lived in London and few other big cities felt spoiled but the food we ate here was on par or better with the best we had and all that in VERY affordable local prices. Add to that a great ambience, Family friendly vibe and amazing service and you'll understand why we can't wait to visit again. Special thanks to Gabi one of the owners who besides being professional is also an amazing hosts and makde use feel exta special even though they had quite a few guests (no wonder given the quality and price) Look forward to visiting again!   I was so happy to try the new DaTerra in Faro since we are huge fans of the franchising. We have always had good experiences with the food and the staff. We like it so much that we drove all the way from Lagos with our small baby to have dinner there. Unfortunately, we were received with the most rude reception I ever had at any restaurant. We were truly shocked to be treated so badly, all because we could not understand how to enter the restaurant (we saw many other confused clients while we were there). So something that could be solved with a simple arrow on a paper fixed to a window. Anyway, the woman that received us nearly called us stupid (without saying the word), and was so rude. I mean, even the situation could have been a reason to laugh but no, she was so mad at us, it was crazy. The buffet was very good just like in all DaTerra restaurants, but this particular waitress was very unpleasant and ruined our night (like I said, I have never been treated like this before). I recommend to hire some of the staff from DaTerra in Bairro Alto (Lisbon) which had the nicest staff and might all be looking for jobs (since they closed). Recomendo contratar alguns funcionários da DaTerra no Bairro Alto (Lisboa) que tinham os funcionários mais simpáticos e podem estar todos à procura de emprego (já que fecharam). Espero que da próxima vez as coisas sejam diferentes e então mudarei minha avaliação.

  Amazing, we finally have this here in the Algarve! Gabby is the local franchise owner and she is super welcoming and sweet. That vibe carries over to the huge selection of amazing dishes that are presented. Just take small samples on your first plate so you know what you like best and then go back for bigger portion. That worked good for me because many of the dishes are to salty for me. Thank you again for opening the 14th location of one of the best vegan restaurant concepts anywhere in the world. There is no outdoor dining but the staff is very mindful of seating people apart if it is available. In any case, the tables are not crammed together and the space is very open.
