  As the name say, you can expect a lot of different beers from lager to IPA. My winner of the day was Amber Lager. The food was good and tasty.   The beef espetada was really good, very tender, though also a bit too salty. We do not recommend the fish with banana, the fish was soft and fatty. The beers were ok, just as the atmosphere, just as the service. My recommendation would be to go here with good weather, sit outside and order yourself a few beers, as the spot on the boulevard is great.   Did visit here last year and the beer was OK. Unfortunately this time around the “pilsner” was dark brown, cloudy, no carbonation, every off-flavour you can name. Very disappointed. More disappointed in the fact the staff didn’t ask why it wasn’t drank (they charged us for it regardless of being left) No offer of “would you like to try X instead?” Paid and left.   The view is great as it is the harbor and overlook the ocean. Steak on the hot stone is good. Unfortunately, I was not enjoy my time there at all because the service was quite bad. I was trying to understand that the restaurant seemed somewhat ‘busy’ but it definitely was not overrunning at the time. We were trying to accommodate with the order and try to make it as easy as possible but one of the staff was still very very very grumpy. That behavior made me super uncomfortable to ask for the service. We were order a fews beers, a bottle of wine and cold cut. We were waiting quite some time to get serve. Meanwhile, I went to the washroom and saw the cold cut plate was on the counter for quite some time and no one took it to the table. Again, it’s lovely restaurant if you can overlook the service, it’s okay to be there. If not, you don’t miss anything.   Stopped off here walking round Funchal. Having done some research as to where to go this place was a must having found out about the beer tasting rack . Location was excellent right on harbour area able to enjoy the views of Funchal and the ships. Food was excellent as well as the service. The beer tasting rack is a must to try here . On more than one occasion I feel staff seem aloof and are not keen on English visitors probably due to what appear to be German origins.   My wife and I have been to the Beerhouse several times as we live locally. The location is good, generally the food is OK and the staff can be helpful. However, for us, there is one major issue; they have two prices especially for drinks...one for local Madeirans and the other for non-Madeirans. I am English (despite living in Madeira) and I get charged a premium price because I am seen as a foreigner. My recommendation is that if you visit, ensure that you look at the prices first and get a clearly itemised bill which you should check very carefully and don't hesitate to question it.   I love this place - it has such a great location and yet the prices are extremely reasonable The beef skewer (espetada) is served the traditional way on wooden bay laurel sticks and the flavour is amazing. I’ve tried two of the rice stews - prawn and lobster was ok but a little bland and the lobster was overcooked, prawn and monkfish was much better with perfectly cooked fish and more flavour.   Visited here twice while recently in Funchal on holiday. As I like craft beers, I tried their beer tasting option(flight) with 5 different beers and a separate 5 beers on the 2nd visit along with a scabbard fish sandwich in local bread. The beers were brewed on site. Staff were excellent, and the bar overlooked the marina with loads of outdoor seating. I recommend a visit.   First visit for us all to the Craft Brewery. Cards on the table; I am a lover of traditional British Real Ale rather than fizzy beer..no matter how it is produced. When abroad Craft beer is usually twice / thrice the price of mass produced local fizzy beer. Also Craft Brewers love to make really strong beer for people who sip small glasses rather than down pint after pint. So this is a nice place and is also a restaurant with great views of the cruise terminal. Madge ordered a brown ale. Very good and only about 5.7%!! One of their weaker brews.   Tried this place yesterday and what a disappointment. Looks great and me and my wife thought would be a great spot to have a few beers and eat finger food.   We only went here for the craft beer (twice) and haven’t tried the food. But if you like different styles of beers this is a good place to go. LOTS of their own brews in different styles. Location in the harbour with the cruise ships close by and seeing them leave in sunset is breathtaking.   Despite the generic name and touristy location, this place is actually quite interesting beer-wise. Most of the beers they offer are brewed on-site, which is always a plus, but while the selection of beers is wide (over 10 on tap if I remember correctly), it's mostly no risk/basic taste. There are a few exceptions, especially if you go the dark way (can't recommend the smoked stout enough), but you have to be willing to pay the location price. Staff is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Food is offered, didn't try it, cannot judge.   An amazing experience overall! I've been to Beerhouse in the past. However, this summer was absolutely great! Customer service was on point, and the food is delicious, especially the tuna skewer!   The selection of beer is vast. Luckily they do offer other drinks if beer is not your tipple. The food isn't too bad either. Location is good right by the boats by the Quay.   Worst restaurant ever. Servers are all rasist that they didn't give us a menu after 15 minute we arrive. Nobody comes our table and even look at it. I fully undertand those situations or thought about asians, but i think they should have some respects to the customers. Thanks for ruined our holidays in Madeira.   Nice setting with wonderful views o et the marina. We chose it for our first lunch upon arrival. Unfortunately the tuna steak was really salty and extremely dry ( it looked like meat it was so dried out). We have reported that to the waiter and he said that it is how it should be.   Nice seating, average food. The staff was pretty uncoordinated and we had to wait in-between every step for ages. My food came with a mountain of onions in a lake of oil. More like an oil soup. I've never seen anything like it. I fished my octopus out of it which was at least nice and soft. The potatoes were also well done. Would not return for the food here.   We walked into madeira and found a fantastic bar and restaurant right on the pier. The weather was brilliant and we sat outside just relaxing and people watching. What a great afternoon. There was always a waiter available and they served some great drinks. You can't go wrong here, right on the harbour, great scenery and nice atmosphere.   Oktoberfest-themed restaurant with a very good bang-for-buck house lager (as you'd expect from the name!). Be warned, this is not a pub, one orders drinks from the waiters (clad in lederhosen, obviously) and pays the bill when finished. Only nitpick is that the glass sizes are given in metric measures only, but remember that 1000ml = around 1 and 3/4 pints, and you're golden. P.S. If possible, come at dusk - the view of the illuminated Funchal from the venue is magnificent.   Unless you buy imported beer from the supermarket, this is probably the best beer you will find on the Island, and for me is certainly an improvement on the local commercially brewed Coral. But beers are a subjective & contentious subject, so I'm am speaking purely as a "real ale" drinker. As for food, I can't comment as didn't try any. As for location, its on the harbour front and as such isn't very inspiring, but it's comfortable and has great views of the cruise ships moored opposite. Personally i found it a great spot to unwind on a sunny afternoon. The place was spotless and the toilets equally as clean, overall? Great! I just wished they brewed a US or English style IPA too!
