  Don't get the chicken here!! Dry as a bone and inedible. Not sure why but most of the dishes come with fries and plain white rice, no veggies and more importantly NO SEASONING.   The meat was well cooked, but the savor was inexistant. The side dish had no veggies, no flavor, just flavorless rice and low quality unsalted fries. The best thing was the water. Would be better with seasoning. The chicken was burned in my friend's dish.   I never write bad review, but that was another level of bad. The food was too salty and unedible. I asked for a rare steak and got a well done steak. It looked like every plate we order was cook in a microwave. The restaurant was almost empty and the waiter managed to never come to our table, even after a wine glass broke on the table. The legendary chicken was blend. The sausage on the kid menu were clearly microwaved, all wrinkle and dry. It was by far our worst experience in the Azores.   Where to begin?...The room was practically empty and still, the service was terrible. The staff was really unpleasant, with no politness whasoever, as they seemed like robots with no emotions at all. We asked for cozido and the portion was extremly expensive for it's size. For those who haven't eaten cozido anywherelse before, they might think the portion is enough, but seriously..look it up. It is like half of a regular portion of any restaurant in Portugal that serves this dish (and for more than twice the price). The tuna was extremly dry, and don't let them fool you when they say that that fish is always dry, because it isn't (when they know how to cook it)! The vegetables were sadly bad, no colour and no taste at all. They don't even put table dressing, it's just a piece of paper like if you are in a fast food restaurant (while you are paying almost 30€ per person). The house wine is from Lisbon region, not even close to the Azores. They only had 2 deserts to choose from and it was still lunch time. We asked for the check and once more, the robot came and gave it to us, not even looking to our faces. Extremly unpleasant staff, really. As a portuguese costumer, it is really disappointing not being welcomed in our own country. If they want to be a touristic place...they have a LOT to improve. Otherwise, it is just a once-in-a-lifetime stop. The cozido was tasty, however. The bolos lêvedos were nice as well. That's it. (Traduzido pelo Google) Por onde começar? É como metade de uma porção normal de qualquer restaurante em Portugal que sirva este prato (e por mais do dobro do preço). O atum estava extremamente seco, e não se deixem enganar quando dizem que aquele peixe está sempre seco, porque não está (quando sabem cozinhá-lo)! Os vegetais eram tristemente ruins, sem cor e sem sabor algum. Nem sequer colocam molho de mesa, é apenas um pedaço de papel como se estivesse num restaurante fast food (enquanto paga quase 30€ por pessoa). O vinho da casa é da região de Lisboa, nem perto dos Açores. Eles só tinham 2 sobremesas para escolher e ainda era hora do almoço. Pedimos o cheque e mais uma vez o robô veio e nos entregou, sem nem olhar na nossa cara. Pessoal extremamente desagradável, na verdade. Como cliente português, é realmente decepcionante não ser bem recebido no nosso país. Se querem ser um local turístico...têm MUITO a melhorar. Caso contrário, é apenas uma parada única na vida. O cozido estava saboroso, no entanto. Os bolos lêvedos também eram bons. É isso.

  We called on the phone and asked them if they can prepare a meal from the volcano only with veggies, without meat. They said yes. We asked them also to be cooked without meat, they were assuring us there will be no meat, not even eggs.   Terrible. I had the codfish. It smelled like rotten stuff, I pointed it out and they told me the smell was coming from the dirty grill. I thought ok gross but honest response, they were even kind enough to have it remade, but the second time was as disgusting as the first. The waiter reassureed me it was normal bacalau, with its typical smell. I gave it a try, scraping the burnt part. Tasteless and seemed gummy.   Pretty disappointing. After we finally managed to get someone to give us a seat and take order, the food arrived cold and was very unappetising. The octopus stew Miroma style was cold and the octopus (of which there was very little for such a price) overcooked. The swordfish was bland and cold.   1 word: Terrible. Service: nothing you could call service. People are working there but they seem like 1. they don’t wanna be there 2. they don’t want you to be there. Food: we had the stew and the grilled tuna steak, both were horrible. Both dishes were incredibly dry and lacked anything you could call taste. I told the waiter this while paying the bill and there basically was 0 response or excuse. “A grilled tuna steak is always dry” was the only response I got. 🤦‍♀️ Location: nothing special or nice, the restaurant was filled with flies which didn’t make it any more pleasant to be there - we ran out of there. To top it all of my boyfriend got food poisoning from the stew and has been feeling awful since we ate here. An absolutely horrible experience and I would strongly recommend not going here.   we looked forward with anticipation to enjoy the local dish cozida and had booked in advance. We were served relatively quickly and a generous plate for the 2 of us arrived. Unfortunately it was stone cold. In our ignorance or stupidity we thought maybe it was hot at lunch time and served cold in the evening and struggled through most of it as it was well cooked. On paying we found it should have been hot but got no sympathy. I think it is poor staff that do not check a meal is hot when served. We won't return.   Miroma was our 2nd choice after seeing the wait at Tony's. At 1 pm, we waited about 15 min for a table. When we were ready to order, we were then told by the waitress that the items we wanted had run out. Couldn't she have mentioned that when we were seated? They ran out of their 3 specialities which was the cozida (volcanic-cooked stew), chicken and octopus! She said that the cozida must be ordered at least a day ahead yet I did not come across that in any of my research for this Azores specialty nor was it indicated on the menu. We ended up getting the squid and chicken steak, both overcooked. The potato and veggie sides were good though. The best was the sweet bread appetizer (which she recommended) and the sangria.   Went here for a traditional stew and got a taste of poor service. Wait staff told us the 1 order would not be enough to share and insisted that we order 2...we ended up with way more than we could eat and exactly what we didn't want a ton of leftovers very wasteful. Stew was quite bland and dry also. The waitress also didn't speak much english until i questioned her why she charged us for 3 orders of the most expensive bread on the island (3 euros each!) though we didn't order or eat any from the basket. Then she was very fluent in explaining they served us an order for each person at the table.   2 stars for the cozido which is very good (large portions) but that's it. The service was terrible. Waiters were under pressure and not friendly at all. After having served the main dish, they ignored us for one hour (hopefully we were not in a rush and had good conversation with our friends). To order dessert, we had to waive several times and see the waiters rushing around us while ignoring us. When paying, we noticed 2 mistakes on the bill (obviously not in our favour) and had to argue to pay the right amount. We didn't even deserve a goodbye.   Went there for the Cozido and it was tasty. The price for this dish (around 13.50€) is a bit steep for the portion but well, you pay for the "Furnas" experience. You can take the leftovers home (saw other tables doing it). The staff was nice and helpful although there was a small issue with an appetizer that was not received before the mains.   It was the second time I had lunch in this restaurant. 1st time it was on February, the Cozido was amazingly cooked. This 2nd time it, the restaurant changed the location and it wasn't a good experience. The Cozido was served with old meat and old chorizos. The only thing good was the wine and the Cozido sauce. Additionally, the service took long time - even for receiving our payment. I had to get up and call an employee twice: once to advise them we were already ready to finish our meal (as we took a long time looking at the ceiling waiting for them) and another one to tell them we had already organized the payment (??). One employee even rolled her eyes after me calling them that we were already organized for like 15min - unnecessary. In a sum, I'm not sure what happened here. With only 6 months of difference, the service and the food were completely different. I wish the old place, management and food could return. Be aware that you don’t get to choose different types of cozido, but it includes carrots, potatoes, cabbage, chicken, chorizo, blood sausage, pork, and beef. Definitely would not come back here. If I wasn’t hungry, I would have stood up and left when the server took our order. Seriously regretted not leaving cause it wasn’t worth the belittling attitude the server gave us. The lime basil mousse was a nice refreshing treat but not worth the experience here. Nice clean building and they have a terrace outside that would be pleasant to sit on in nice weather.   I'll just give some facts. 2:00pm: we arrived at this restaurant and waited outside to be seated. 1 waiter & 2 waitresses walked past us a number of times but none approached us. 2:10pm: we sat down at one of the four free tables outside, and immediately the waiter came to tell us that we needed to get a table from the counter inside the restaurant. (No problem, we felt rather embarrassed at this moment for not checking with anyone before sitting down). We excused ourselves and went inside. 2:15pm: we managed to talk to the girl behind the counter and were told to wait at the far end of the restaurant, by the toilets, for a table to be cleaned up. At this point, I must point out, there were plenty of free tables in and outside of the restaurants, we didn't question but waited as told. 2:45pm: I went over to the counter and asked the girl how much longer we needed to wait (bear in mind we had other plans in the afternoon and the sun was shining beautifully outside). I was told that they would have to prepare a table for a group of 7 first before sorting out a table for us and it would only be another 5 mins. She said we could sit at a free table outside if we wanted. 2:50pm: we had wasted almost an hour in this restaurant observing more people leaving than coming and finally decided to leave. And this happened on a Wednesday.
