  Amazing Indian food. I’m from the UK so I’m used to good Indian food, but Delhi Darbar surpassed my expectations. Super tasty food, fast service and very kind staff. Highly recommend.   We had a lovely meal as usual tonight, the onion bhajis are the best I have had. The chicken bhuna was really tasty as was the jalfrezi. At the end of the meal we were given a piece of birthday 🎂 to celebrate the 9th birthday of the restaurant which was a lovely touch. The staff were polite and friendly as always.   Coming from the UK we have been to many Indian restaurants from our local to various high end central London establishments. Now coming to Lagos for our holidays we were not expecting anything special. But surprise surprise the Delhi Darbar food was exceptional so good we now class it as our most favourite Indian. Well done guys, we will be back.   Very disappointed with this estelishment for reasons I was not expecting. First off, two of us walk into what is a not-so-busy place, probably due to it being off season. We get seated at a table for two but we like to have a little more room to manoeuvre so ask to be seated at one of many of the 4 seaters. We are denied for no specific reason. I mention there's a couple already at a four table so why can't WE sit on one? Server tells me they're waiting for someone else. I gave the benefit of the doubt and we sat at the 2 person table. As predicted, no one else sat at the 4 table with the two people already there. Evidence attached. Then they tell us they don't serve tap water because we're too close to the sea ...? I mean, did we have stupid written on our forehead or something. Other things happened which I don't need to go into. Food wasn't anything amazing to write about. I won't be back.   Worst kind of experience one can have. Refused a table, refused service. Rude people. Didn't expect to face racism in an Indian restaurant. We literally just wanted to have tea and it wasn't allowed because you don't want to have dinner. The kitchen is not free for tea but if you want food, sure you're most welcome.   The staff welcomed us really nicely. Unfortunately we quite quickly noticed an odd smell of sewage/toilet coming through the air conditioning system. The starter tasted and looked like it has been sitting in the kitchen since approx. yesterday. The main came covered with a leaf of lettuce, a slice of lemon, 1 pomegranate seed, a little coriander and dried fried onion from the supermarket.   This restaurant is already well known in Lagos but I never had a chance to try until now. We visited for a late lunch around 2:40pm. When we sat down, our waiter gave us the menu immediately and kindly explained the kitchen would close at 3 but the restaurant would stay open till we finish our meal. We were hesitant but because of the late lunch hour, we ordered a couple of dishes to share. The service was quick but the presentation was very good. They did not rush us at all, they even let us order a bottle of wine. We were fully able to enjoy our delicious meal. So good!   Excellent Indian food! My wife and I just retired to Lagos from Texas. We’re not experts but we know what is good and the food, service, and atmosphere here are great! We’ve been here twice in the last 7 days and will keep coming back. The waitstaff are prompt and speak good English. Not sure about Portuguese? The menu is in English and Portuguese. We’ve had the Chicken Tikka Masala twice, plain naan and garlic naan, veggie samosas, veggie pakora, mango kulfi ice cream, and gulab jamun. All were excellent! The atmosphere is casual, calm and comfortable with instrumental music playing softly in the background. The tables are linen covered, topped with decoratively folded linen napkins. A fine-dining touch! The cappuccino coffee is excellent! They provide hand sanitizer and toothpicks after the meal, and they serve hard licorice candy in a cloisonné bowl with the ticket. We entered just before the closing time 2.30pm yet they served us graciously and hot tasty food. Strongly recommend!   Absolutely fantastic Indian food and a fantastic price in addition. My partner and I ate our fill of delicious food with wine and beer and still spent less than €70 total. In particular we loved the Lamb Dal Karahi (lamp perfect, lentils perfect, and peppers still with great texture) and the garlic naan!   Went early for dinner with friends last Tuesday. Nice restaurant with very friendly staff who all made us welcome. The owner was on hand and made sure we all had a good time.   First night in Lagos. I usually try to pick hotels with Indian restaurants nearby as hotel food can be hit and miss. I'd seen reviews for Delhi Darbar before, so gave it a try. We ordered , veg pakora , pannier pakora , chicken kabab , mushroom curry , naan & egg friend rice . Mushroom curry was the best , fried rice was good too . By authentic standards of Indian food the dishes here are below average - which is saying something for the Algarve. Please don’t misunderstand, food in the Algarve is awesome, but Indian food in the Algarve is typically lame and bland and sadly Delhi Durban fits this description well.   Possibly the best staff in the whole of Portugal and with good food. After establishing the right amount of spiciness (Bombay hot... very hot for Europeans but not something that would knock me unconscious), we were in for something new. The starter of prawns with mango and... well... something... was not the best way to begin our meal (but of s letdown). Later we had a hot hot prawn dish, a bit hot lamb (for my girlfriend), and some delicious, spicypaneer combination. The garlic cheese nan was super yummy, and it was perfect with the saucy dishes. The level spice was exactly what we asked for, all in perfect balance with the raita, salad, and rice. Dessert was a bit weird and the lychee balls were very very sweet, but both interesting to try... once. All in all the food was good but not amazing. Good enough to come back... maybe...   On every trip we try 1 Indian restaurant, so when I was looking for some places this one showed up with the highest number of reviews and had the highest number of star rating as well. It did not disappoint at all. The staff was very courteous, spoke English and the food was very delicious. All the curries had the correct flavor and was as close to true Indian food. We got the chicken tikka masala, prawn bhuna, daal makhani and paneer mutter. We also got the garlic naans, but we got carried away and ordered one too many. They are pretty big and 2 children can easily share one. We had to park in a garage further down, but it was not too bad. Would definitely recommend trying them out if you are in the vicinity.
