  Stopped for dinner one evening. I didn't reserve and was shown to a table straight away. The sommelier asked me what wine I normally drink and served me a Portuguese equivalent which was lovely and paired the steak beautifully. We had our dog with us, and they had her set up with her own little bed and water bowl in the corner when we arrived for our reservation. Get the t-bone for two and have it cooked the chef’s way!   We lunched at the Rib and it was phenomenal. The service was authentic, friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. The only flaw I found was the first drink I had, the Moscow Mule, which was not serve on the copper mug, but on a glass. But that was not merit to lower the quality of the drink neither the restaurant. We had the 450gr Ribeye and the Entrecote, also ordered some fries and salad as well as a cold beer. It was delicious.   After reading so many positive reviews about this restaurant, we were eager to try the food here and I feel bad to say this but the chuleton steak was the worst steak I have ever had. Although the restaurant and food were beautiful and the waitstaff were friendly, the steak was incredibly tough and chewy even though it was cooked medium rare (see picture below). What a huge disappointment for the most expensive item on the menu. I am true carnivorous and the steaks quality at this place is worst than the steaks u can buy on Lidl. Fancy and gimmicky but don’t fall into this trap.   Chique atmosphere and very attentive service. They really talked through with us so we would get exactly what we expected. The food was indeed good, but price/quantity/quality felt off. Prices seemed reasonable at first, but you have to order more combinations to make it a full meal. We come from an expensive country where everything costs more (ingredients, staff, overhead costs, ...) and we go to restaurants a lot. For these prices we are used to getting more and better. So it just didn't feel correct in the end, even though it's not a bad restaurant, it's not outstanding enough to justify these prices.   My mushroom starter was decent my wife had the meat croquettes which were a tad over fried but ok…her hamburger whilst looking good was in her opinion bland in taste,I had the ribeye which having asked for medium was definitely far too rare and I really should’ve asked for it to go back and cooked a tad more,having said that I genuinely thought it was probably the worst ribeye I’d ever had,chewy and tough and no flavour,so disappointing and at a total cost of €147 the meal was well overpriced, I must say the staff were friendly and attentive so absolutely no faults on that score but the food honestly for me just wasn’t up to much for the reputation of the place.   The hamburger was very underwhelming and overpriced with 16€. The fish was ok but the portion was too small for the price, same with the fries we ordered. At the end i was still hungry. Now i tip when i receive good service or the food is really cheap, however i don't think this was the case when i just received the absolute minimum service which is getting my food and the prices also not justify this. Only two minor negatives which would not affect the 5 out 5 score I gave just because I liked the restaurant so much, however the first is that we were offered a Portuguese cocktail when we first sat down which was absolutely beautiful but cost €11 each so for the five of us was a €55 round! Secondly it did take quite a while for the bill to come. I would definitely go back and fully recommend paying a visit.   My wife and I each ordered the €28 lombo steak. My wife ordered her steak well done and it came out medium rare. She sent it back and it came back still fairly pink so I ended up eating half of it!   It would appear we caught the team at Rib on a bad night… we suspect this was a management issue as the staff were trying but there was confusion, new staff that needed training and ultimately the food came to the table cold. It was an amazing cut of beef… but ribeye served cold is less than awesome. We shared some feedback appropriately and they comp’d dessert. But the manager avoided us and I suspect was dismissive of our feedback ( if not rude based on the little Portuguese I can pick up and overheard him sharing with his team). The location is prime… the design and environment is pretty cool… so again, I will give some benefit of the doubt to a bad night ( cause I’m in a good mood on vaca with my wife).   After hearing good things about this steak house I am sad to say possibly the worst experience I have had in a restaurant. Myself and my partner waited near an hour for our food, but I should say the waiter was an absolute gentleman, with regards to the so called “maitre de” I would recommend retraining. After waiting near an hour for our order when the food arrived it looking fantastic but when it came to my partners food who specifically said she wanted her steak well done she was met with a medium steak, when I mentioned this to the waiter he was left with nothing to do but bring over his manager “maitre de”. We were then forced to pay for this food not ordered by an intimidating “maitre de”, with a 10% discount although we had not be given what we had ordered.   Not something I would recommend. We had a Ribeye stake and the burger. For the ribeye low quality meat was used and the consistensy was even worse. The stake was ment to be medium rare - however we received it as more rare to blueish. The stake is cut in stripes before they serve it therefor it is not pissible to give the meat extra time on the grill in undercooked cases like this one. Same goes for the Burger... we requested to have the patty well done (commen where we're from) and received it as a medium.   The only enjoyable thing about this place was the ambiance which was terrific,but that's where the joy ended. We were charged for every little extra like bread and water which are usually complimentary but maybe that's the norm in Lisbon, I don't know for sure. I ordered a well done steak with French fries,the steak came medium rare and the fries came smothered in thyme which had an overpowering taste. I'm not sure if they thought putting thyme on French fries made them a bit fancy but that's all I could taste. The steak was small,very average and as I mentioned very undercooked. My girlfriend ordered salmon. She thought she was getting a full cooked salmon but all she got was 3 small raw straps of salmon,it was absolutely pathetic. She also ordered rositto which she liked and was the only reason she didn't have to go eat again after we left the place seeing as the portion of salmon was so ridiculously small. In summary the place is massively overly priced with below average food. The restaurant is beautiful with nice atmosphere with nice and polite staff so its a pity the food was such a let down. There are far better restaurants in Lisbon like Sinal Vermelho which has amazing food,good staff and is very,very reasonably priced. Would not recommend or ever go again.   Food is average, my steak was quite tough. Good service, but really lacks a great atmosphere. For example the TV on in the bar area. This is a tourist restaurant primarily and it's fine, but Lisbon has a lot better to offer especially considering the price (which was quite high comparatively).   Fairly expensive place but the quality of the food was (for the most part) most definitely worth it as I had one of the best steaks ever and pepper which was cooked in such a way which I'd love to know how they did it. I only took one star off as they charged us €15 for bread and tapenade. €10 for a small bottle of water between 5 of us, which is just over priced silliness. Could've got a bigger bottle of water from the local super market for 89 cents.   Hotel guests seem to take priority over non hotel guests. We were not ready to order 3mins after being given the menu and as a result we were left waiting to order for 15mins after that while the hotel guests were served. Staff are a bit inattentive and don’t seem to communicate with each other. (We were asked if we wanted dessert twice by different waiters. All of the waiters ignored us when passing by while we were waiting for someone to finally take our order.) We were seconds away from putting our coats on and leaving when the waiter finally came back over to take our order. Food was tasty except for the BBQ sauce and the fries were a bit too salty. The curry risotto is excellent. Meat is nice quality but it’s hard to cut with the dull knives we were given. The music is off putting. It’s club/bar music and doesn’t fit the romantic and cosy interior of the restaurant at all. All in all it’s a good experience that needs fine tuning.   The food and service here were very good. We sat outside and it was a nice view of the plaza and the ocean in the distance. Our waiter, Valter, was very attentive and spoke english very well. My wife order the loin with the herbed french fries. They were both good but she asked for her steak to be medium well and they cooked it almost well. She still really liked it but their idea of cooked is much more done than normal. I got the ribeye and ordered it medium and it came out between medium plus to medium well. It tasted very good and I didn't bother sending them back. It is worth making sure they understand how you want your steak cooked. I got the risotto and really enjoyed it.   Very trendy place with attentive staff, but were served a steak that was well below standard for the price (43£) and were told when we complained that it was practically inedible, that they were unable to refund the price of the steak. Terrible customer service, wine was overpriced, all in all a bad and expensive experience.   Quite disappointing. Meat quality is average, sauces seem to come from the Tetra Pak. Why would you serve a steak with little mountains of salt as garnish, I really wonder. And on the side some kind of fruit jam? According to the service, the mixed vegetables have a lot of ginger in them, which thankfully they did not do that, at least. Instead, they add a half raw egg to mix it under, kind of like what you might have with beef tatar. Really??! Thé only thing that turned out quite nice was the tomato salad. In summary, the astonishingly poor service (forgetting items several times, no grasp of English at this touristic location) coupled with poor quality and expensive menu makes me suggest to give it a miss.   I recommend this restaurant. Restaurants in Lisbon seem to be rated high but are not even half as good. I would truly give it a 4 - 4.5 stars, but that won’t be just in the way restaurants are rated in the city, hence my 5 stars Summery: Great restaurant. Been there twice in my last trip to Lisbon a few days ago. Ordered the rib eye, the 60 day matured sirloin, French fries, potatoes with lime, pepper sauce and chimichurri sauce, the ultimate sin, lemon pie ... Offcourse not on one visit :) Food Quality (4.5) : the meat is amazing, the ingredients are fresh, only had a problem with a batch of the bread that tasted perfumy and they replaced it with a freshly baked batch right away. The meat sauces were good: pepper sauce and chimichurri were the best, the mushroom sauce was on the bland side. Service (4.5) : two different people served us on two different occasions, both were very good, one more attentive and explains more passionately about the wines and food. Estive lá duas vezes na minha última viagem a Lisboa há alguns dias. Pedi o lombo, o lombo maturado por 60 dias, batata frita, batata com limão, molho de pimenta e molho chimichurri, o pecado final, torta de limão. Claro que não em uma visita :) Qualidade Alimentar (4.5): a carne é incrível, os ingredientes são frescos, só tive problema com um lote de pão que tinha um sabor perfumado e eles o substituíram imediatamente por um lote recém-assado. Os molhos de carne eram bons: molho de pimenta e chimichurri eram os melhores, o molho de cogumelos era insosso. Serviço (4.5): duas pessoas diferentes nos serviram em duas ocasiões diferentes, ambas muito boas, uma mais atenciosa e explica com mais paixão os vinhos e a comida. No geral, o serviço foi incrível, pode ficar um pouco lento se o local estiver cheio, mas ainda razoável.

  We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at RIB and highly recommend this restaurant and friendly staff. We arrived at 9:30pm and were seated outside at a comfortable table for two. Adam, our server, was incredibly helpful in choosing the right Portuguese wines for our tastes and helping us to navigate the menu. My wife had the beetroot risotto and I had the 60 day-aged steak. Both dishes and sides were delicious, but the steak was particularly good...accented with three varieties of salt, choice of special sauces, onions, red pepper, and a house butter melted on top; it was cooked to perfection (medium rare). For dessert, upon the recommendation of Adam's uncle, we enjoyed a chocolate crunchie and the lemon meringue sorbet--both wonderful. We would return here in a heartbeat and hope Adam can make it to Ohio some day, or at least the Grand Canyon.   I just can recommend you this restaurant, it was simply very good in terms of food and employees. we didn't reserved but the waitresses directly found a solution and was ablenro fund us a place (so it's better to call before 😁). the waiter spoke a very good English and make us good wine suggestion and present us the plate as a professional. there is one star missing only because that when you order 600 gr meat, the 2 last peace were cold (little bit a shame). I will for sure return in this restaurant and try something else. Again thank you for this good evening!!!   Out for lunch on my own in Lisbon, I walked into RIB Beef & Wine thinking I knew what was in store, just from the name. It was far more subtle than that. The starters came quickly and all looked amazing. I really love the fresh bread with homemade butter, rillette, olive oil with “flor de sal”, the meat croquettes with smoked onion sauce and the matured beef “Cecina” (beef air-cured ham) to whet my appetite. It was a great way to start the meal ahead. It was then on to the main courses. I knew that the beef was going to be great so I had to make it one of my choices. After some deliberation with the excellent waiter, I went for the 300 gr of 60 days matured Sirloin (Special selection matured with bone for 60 days) with sides of stir fried Asian vegetables and turnip tips rice with onion chorizo. They went so well together! Just perfect! I sat looking around this beautifully crafted restaurant. You have to try this place. There was still room for dessert and “The Ultimate Sin" - Caramel chocolate petit gateau is the type of thing on a menu that I just can’t resist. It was heavenly. The way that this finished the meal just left me with a huge smile on my face. I can’t wait to find time to go back and eat it all again. Eles combinaram tão bem! Simplesmente perfeito! Sentei-me olhando ao redor deste restaurante lindamente trabalhado. Você tem que experimentar este lugar. Ainda houve espaço para a sobremesa e “The Ultimate Sin" - petit gateau de chocolate com caramelo é o tipo de coisa num menu a que não consigo resistir. Foi divino. They were very knowledgeable in regards choosing our dishes, I would advise anyone to go you won't be let down. Extremely well priced too, spent £50 on a starter, two main meals, two large bottles of water, a glass of wine and a dessert.   Was expecting better burger from a place that specialized in meat. A bit over cooked and dry meat without seasoning to make it flavorful like salt and pepper. Great French fries, better than chips in my opinion since they were salty which made the meat taste even more bland. Dessert was pretty but ok to taste with egg whites not fully blended and icy pistachio ice cream. Mustache chocolate was nice, not too chocolaty. While I had better cuts of meat in some high end restaurants, there is a great deal of choice on side dishes (not at all to be given for granted) and some very interesting appetisers. The wine chart is not extensive, but well within what you would expect for the place.   Very confused service. We had probably a total of 7 people serving us over the course of an hour. Poor quality meat, bearnaise sauce did not stick together.
