  Had a nice experience at Brunch Cafe, husband tried the Chicken & Waffle, I had the fruit salad (was beautifully presented and very tasty) and asked for the Salmon toast without Fresh cream, but substituted 2 poached eggs. Was happy they could accommodate.   Wanted to love this place! BRUNCH CAFE Came by for- brunch ! On a Saturday morning. The rain makes you want to stay in but I’m on vacation! Walked over without a ressie and was seated quickly. Friendly service but slow, only one waitress working. Mimosa in a big glass with ice was fun! Pancakes and I asked for eggs to be over hard, no wet/ runny yolk. Pancakes and fresh fruit were good✨After the third time, the eggs were pretty much over cooked and had that bottom of the pan burnt taste. ✨That sucks. Won’t be coming back here.   Sorry but hands down the worst brunch I’ve had in Portugal. Had to wait for a table then service was so rushed. The coffee was weak and tasted like it was brewed hours before it was served.   Cheated by the good reviews. We couldn’t finish the food and drinks as all were made from frozen or packaged ingredients and were tasteless. 27 EUR thrown down the drain. Not sure how they could get 4.4 stars rating with 1.6K reviews. The place was empty when we arrived, it says something. The food does not look like the menu photos. Likely it was copied from someplace else or taken from the internet. It’s one of the worst cafe food we have tasted. Staff doesn’t handle feedback on the food well.   The food was amazing. Got the Nutella pancakes and they were really good, 10/10. There was so much that I couldn't even finish it all yet I enjoyed it a lot. The service was great too, the waitress was kind and food got here quickly, was good. The atmosphere is nice, but isn't exactly my kind. It has that 90s, early 2000s kind of feeling.   We were the first customer in the morning. But the tables and chairs were littered with bread crumbs. Seemed like they didn’t clean the place. Food was decent, service was unfriendly. Ordered waffle with red-fruit ice cream, banana, and Kinder chocolate. The waitress just said, no, no more. I asked her, no more of what? No banana, no ice cream or no waffle? She said they ran out of the Kinder chocolate spread. I asked if she could replace that with other chocolate spread they had (they had on a different item some other chocolate spread). It's right in city center so it's convenient, but there are brunch place a littler better than this one. The pancakes were amazing! But, the salmon and avocado toast is average. It was not made with much love and easily made at home. You may say "it's an avocado toast" but the simpler, the harder is to nail it. The service was sooooo nice! It made us feel comfortable 100%.   Prashant gave superb service and went above and beyond to make our brunch fantastic. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous especially for the price, which can’t be said about a lot of brunch places. Highly recommend the chicken club sandwich, breakfast sandwich, and caramel iced coffee. The smoothies are very tasty as well, but are not super thick. Overall, a fantastic restaurant!   Surprised the cafe has such high reviews. We stopped by for a quick brunch and spent over 2.5 hours because service was extremely slow. It took them almost 1.5 hours to serve the food we ordered and we waited for over 30 mins to pay the bill. The place is extremely packed with tables located to close to each other and it’s only one waiter so no surprise. I don’t blame him, but seems like management does not care. My chair was somewhat broken too. One washroom did not have a lock, the other one did not have a toilet paper. The food was good so extra star for it but the rest of the experience was terrible. Also, the chairs are too big to the place, the waitresses always bump on you while passing and it’s not even their faults, the passage is too narrow.   We stayed 4 days in Lisbon and ate at the Brunch Cafe 3 out of the 4 days! On the one day that we changed places to eat breakfast somewhere else, we regretted it. The prices are good, the wait staff are FANTASTIC and the food is delicious. I had eggs benedict one day and the other two days the Tuga breakfast with scrambled eggs, ham, croissant, bread, fruit, juice and coffee. We also got the 'Sunny Days' smoothie which tasted more like a yoghurt - but to be fair yoghurt is mentioned in the ingredients, I just wasn't expecting it to be such a dominant ingredient.   My family & I came here around 11 and it was packed so we shared a table with a woman who was already sitting. She didn’t mind but I felt like we were intruding in her space (especially since we have two kids) my pancakes were a little dry. The environment was inviting and the staff was friendly.   I love this cafe. LOVE with no exaggeration. I was in Lisbon for three days, triedany cafes and this one is certainly the best of them all. The space is spacious, smoothie is Amazing, and the toast is soft inside and crispy outside which I had been looking for for days. The prices are very reasonable btw. Also it serves good iced coffee.   Bustling, lively place, we had to wait for a table but only a few minute and it was worth it. Very nice selection of brunches to suit all tastes and requirements. Menu all in English too, which was very helpful for us non Portuguese speakers. The seats were a tight fit though, but that just makes for great people watching!   I live in the US, so I didn't really eat any of the food here, but I took my family so they could have a classic American brunch on a holiday. They ordered a bunch of food and seemed satisfied with all of it. Fresh croissant which actually really tempted me, and great pancakes too. The mini pancakes looked really cute. Portion sizes were huge, so I'd definitely recommend going for one of the combos and splitting it between 2 people.
