  This is not the Honda Ramen from chef Honda. It used to be but the chef opened a new location just a few meters away from this. The new one is called Real Honda Ramen.   We have been there last year in autumm, and we liked the food way more back then.. just not the same taste, lacking in Essence, flavour, saltyness. The meat was very chewy, which is strange for meat that sits in liquid. My girlfriend was not feeling amazing after lunch, I was okay.   After searching for vegan ramen, this has been the best so far. We ordered the vegan gyoza, fried rice, vegan miso ramen and vegan kimchi ramen. I preferred the Miso Ramen and would definitely order all the above again! Great host server, kind, pleasant, fun and informative and spoke English fluently. Will be going back soon!   Honda Ramen has more than 20 ramen, so I recommend everyone to try it. A lot of veg options too. Inside is small so not great for larger groups but if you're with a couple of friends it's perfect. We were 3 and went for dinner on a Saturday. We arrived just before 8 p.m so there were plenty of tables left but pretty soon it started to get busier. The restaurant also has some tables outside. It's not an attractive restaurant but it's nice the see the whole kitchen area and the cooks. They work fast and the service was nice. Food wise, I didn't enjoy the kimchi, it lacked flavor but the gyozas were amazing, soft and full of flavor. The Ramen was ok, not great, for example the eggs were boiled and the broth could have more flavor. However, I will return again since the prince is considerably cheaper than other similar ramen restaurants and is not pretentious.   I had high hopes for this ramen place since I heard good things about it. However, the first time I came with friends, the staff was being strange and unfriendly about our reservation—trying to seat us cramped next to the WC, so we left after a disgraceful move on the staff communication side. We were especially bummed out by the staffs behavior, because the menu looked good. That was in November or so. Then I came back to try it on a quiet Sunday night in January alone. The ramen — it's alright, though disappointing. It looks good. I ordered the black tonkatsu — the broth is not special, not slow-cooked delicious or a creamy tonkatsu, and the egg is not marinated well or at all. Didn’t seem too authentic. Though overall, it was good. Just nothing special or authentic as far as flavors for what I tried (just ramen). Though I say if you are not picky about your tonkatsu broth and egg, this place is fine to try for yourself. Between the bright fluorescent lights and other mediocrities, I have no reason to return, especially since there are so many more flavorful ramen options with better lighting in Lisbon. To note: there is good outdoor seating available. Just not a comfortable option on all days.   Really not sure how some people write it is their best ramen. This place is not good. I mean the kimchi ramen was okay, but its not the proper broth, it lacks that ramen taste. But its not awful, it is okay. We've waited so long for our order to be taken and the waitress spoke zero english, I doubt portugese too, I wanted to use the translator. Short story, she totally mixed the orders, not just for us but for other people, brining dishes and taking them back to the kitchen. I realized mine was made with meat whilst I ordered tofu. And they didn't bring the ramens together, my gf got it like 5 minutes earlier. Shortly said if you don't mind the possible long wait and communication issues - go ahead, but there are better ramens spots.   We went on a Friday evening based on reviews read online. We waited a little bit but that was to be expected. The food was delicious. We have tried many ramen in the past, and we really like the Misho ramen and the Tonkostu ramen. In fact, my spouse really got inspired by the food and wants to create his own version of it. The staff was a tad overwhelmed and a little bit disorganized, and you better know English as it is the language used when ordering, but overall, the food was great and we enjoyed our dinner.   Food was okay but took way too long. Overall I was disappointed in my visit. I saw this restaurant as I was coming into Lisbon and it seemed like a good spot on the outside, I dropped my stuff at my hotel and headed over assuming I would be able to grab a quick lunch before exploring the city. I spent most of my afternoon here and that was because not only was the service taking a while - people who arrived after me were served first. It took over an hour for me to get my food and I had to ask several times before it was bought over to me. Additionally, the card machine was down and at the last minute I was told they were only accepting cash. The food was okay but definitely not worth the hassle and time wasted. It’s a few doors down from Real Honda’s Ramen (that’s unrelated). - Chahan (2,99€) - fried rice was a massive portion but greasy. - Tonkotsu ramen (8,99€) - this is not tonkotsu. Broth wasn’t rich or creamy. The noodles lacked a chewy elasticity. Hard boiled egg was tasteless. Cha shu slices were mostly fat. Way too much green onions. Bamboo shoots didn’t add anything to the bowl. Unmemorable ramen at HR. I feel sorry for folks that think this is ramen.   Food was really good. Top 5 of the best ramen in Lisbon probably. We had some starters that were really good - especially the kimchi pork and the fried chicken. The ramens were also really good and all of them very different (we tried three different as we were three people). Portions were big so we couldn't even finish our ramen entirely.   It's real enough for me! Real good, real affordable, real urban, real street. We loved it for lunch on the sidewalk. We devoured a few portions of fried chicken, both gyoza kinds, chashu pork, and ramen (didn't try it myself but heard zero complaints, only commented slurping and the occasional moan).   The ramen is charged with MSG and I felt really poisoned a few hours after eating at this place also the ingredients tasted weird and not fresh or bad quality. Be aware also with the bill as they overcharged me for one of the plates. The staff is friendly but no one talked Portuguese and this is absolutely absurd as you are in Portugal.   Asked for the tantamen ramen which was unfortunately sold out, so I got the black tonkatsu ramen which was at most OK (a bit bland). The chicken karage was very well made, however served with regular mayonese instead of yuzu mayonnaise. Note that this place is run by nepalese people, not japanese (not a complaint).   This place had so much promise and I’m sorry but it just didn’t deliver, I don’t really understand how it has such high reviews. We had heard that the noodles were handmade and expected great things but we found the broth was lacking in flavour, noodles were over cooked, and the nori sheets felt like they had been sitting in the broth for 20 mins - they had absolutely disintegrated! It also didn’t help that they moved us from an alright table to one shoved up against the back wall next to the toilet. Every time the door opened we were hit with the smell of string cleaning chemicals that were just so off putting. We paid €7.99 for the bowl of ramen and definitely wouldn’t have paid any more.   Was craving some Asian food throughout our Europe trip and have tried a few ramen places, this was probably the best ramen we’ve had in Europe! Lots of flavour and decent servings for the price, really appreciated being able to pay a few euros more for some extra meat! Service was also very lovely.   Went for a late dinner during a weekday. They were kind enough to schedule a table for 5 last minute half hour before closing the kitchen. It has a "street food" environment, have great options of ramen and side dishes too and everything is so authentic and tasty. Those broths were done with care and time, perfectly balanced, brought me back to Japan street food ❤️ 100% recommend. It's a humble place, not fancy in dinning, service was efficient and polite, brought the kids with me and there no problems whatsoever. Only a good experience. The noodles — me and my friends didn’t like very much. They use thick noodles and they were too firm.   Out of the ramen restaurants I visited in Lisbon, this was the best ramen out of all, hands down. Price-worthy and delicious. We had the vegetarian tantanmen and vegan shoyu ramen which were both very flavourful and were well-balanced. For the price of 7.99€ it’s hard to find anything better in the same price range. We also had edamame and kimchi (I did not check whether or not their kimchi is vegan). They also had beer on draft as well as Asahi on bottle. The service was good. Staff was very friendly. The only downside is the inside of the restaurant which is pretty dark and not too inspiring, but they also have seats outside.   I had the black tonkotsu ramen. Good and filling without being heavy. Would have been nice to have the chili oil in the table, for a bit of extra kick. You can ask it from the friendly staff.   I've never had any good ramen in Europe, as it's always overpriced and not good. That changed when I found Honda. I'm honestly very impressed. The ramen is very very close to Japan's and honestly, the karaage (fried chicken) is one of the best I've ever had. Thank you!   nice gyozas and great service. Aside from the noodles which were very good the ramen was not the best. It came with some fake saffron on top which I had to pick off and the tonkotsu broth was pretty nasty and fake tasting..It seemed they were using some kind of thickening agent as a replacement for the thickness you would usually derive from boiling pork bones.   Was really excited about this place but the ramen was rather average, the road it's on is was busier than expected so it's not very quiet whilst eating not sure if it was the roadside but there was a strong smell of white spirits or glue nearby.   The ramen was amazing and other food as well. Especially the gyozas were very tasty. It was a shame it was very busy, it could have been a nice visit, but sadly the staff wasn't checking outside tables very often, so ordering was kinda difficult. Also a lot of menu items were sold out even though I wasn't there that late. At the end I ordered fried rice to fill myself up, but I waited for the dish close to 30 minutes.   Have been in Lisbon for a week and this is our favourite place so far. I have been to ramen restaurants before that are double the price and half as good as Honda’s. Here’s a break down of what we got and why it was good: White wine, €6 !!?! And good?!? Gyoza, they clearly made these themselves, you can tell from the texture of the dough that it hadn’t been frozen. Filling was awesome. They gave us an extra dumpling per portion (We got a second lot). The dipping sauce was great. Chahan rice, seriously so good. Put some chili oil on it and mix it about. (Pro tip, dip spoons of rice into ramen broth) Black tonkotsu and tantanmen ramen. The ramen itself was fresh and had nice texture. Both broths were beyond belief. Can’t really give enough praise for the ramen. Left stuffed and drunk after having had the nicest dinner of the week and it cost €33 for two people.   Had tonkatsu ramen and gyoza here tonight. Food was amaaaaazing! The pork was moist, slightly charred to bring out the smokiness of the meat. The gyoza had a crisp on the outside and very savory inside. The food is definitely as yummy as food you would get in Tokyo or Osaka. The chef trained in Japan for 10 years and it really shows in the quality of the food! An awesome bonus is that the foods are reasonably priced.   Honda's Ramen is a little gem with charismatic Interior, a welcoming Chef & Waitress and outstanding food. We enjoyed every bite (or better: sip) of our Gyoza and Ramen. We tried the Tantanmen and Chashu Ramen and were so blown away with the balanced taste, we had to come again two days later. The Pork Belly is a delight and in our view a must-try.   The space is like an old-school portuguese coffee shop/tasca, so it can get crowded pretty quickly, but there's still tables outside. We had to sit outside, but the staff was kind enough to ask us if we wanted to eat inside when there was a vacant table. About the food: this is one of the most delicious ramens I ever ate. It tasted rich, comes in good portion and has an amazing price. The only "downside" with the dish I chose (tonkotsu ramen) is that there's only 3 slices of pork belly and I wish it had maybe 1 or 2 more because it's super delicious, but I think they'd be nice enough to put and charge extra slices if I asked to. Honda and his staff mastered the ramen art, the waiter was very kind and thoughtful, and we're definitely coming back soon!   I'm in no way an expert but I've been to Japan twice and I've eaten very good Ramen over there. The one I got here (I chose the Tonkotsu) is the best I've eaten in Portugal. It's as close to the ones in Japan as it gets! Very friendly staff too. And I love that the place still looks like a classic portuguese snack bar and wasn't redecorated. Gives it a very unique charm.   Great little find near to my hotel for little or big bites to eat, drinks and watch the football. I went for gyoza for starters and Japanese mixed meat, veg n rice dish.   I've looking for months for proper ramen soup in Lisbon with no success, until today. Best soup ever, the chef makes his own noodles every day, he slow cooks the pork for over 8 hours, he makes his own sauces as well as kimchi. I am so absolutely impressed. The prices are also very reasonable as opposed to most ramen places in Lisbon. Do try the gyozas, again, no frozen stuff here. He makes them himself. Truly wonderful. Thanks again so much and it is such a pleasure to see one's dream become reality. Will be back.   Such a good ramen! Delicious hand-made noodles, perfect cuts of meat and sides, and the broth is divine. And cheap too. These guys know what they are doing. Highly recommend!!!   A bit of a wait for the food but oh my god ! Totally worth the wait. The two standouts were the momos (like dumplings/gyoza) and the samosas. Really friendly service too.
