  Great restaurant with authentic portoghese food. We had dinner in this cozy and traditional restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. They serve a good selection of local and fresh meat and fish dishes. We had the vegetable soup, octopus, dorade and the steak. Everything was delicious and the service very friendly and fast, despite the restaurant being full. All for a reasonable price.   This restaurant is recommended by our host. Many thanks to her! We stayed in Lisbon for six days, and we returned to this restaurant three times and never disappointed us. If you are looking for typical local food in a homely atmosphere, then you are in the right place. Whether you choose fish or meat from the menu, everything is perfect. Our enthusiasm grew even more when we saw that everything that was grilled came from the wood-fired grill. Desserts are also very, very nice and homemade. As there were four of us and we returned 3 times, we almost ate the entire menu. Both fish and meat dishes were perfect! The restaurant is small and very bussy, but the staff is very helpful and friendly. Due to the limited space, it is better to make a reservation in advance or come before the opening.   We found this place while walking near our hotel. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, seems like a local place. Service was very nice. Steak and cod fish was okay. I wanted to try the cod fish just to have an idea, it doesn’t have much taste to it (not restaurant’s fault, it is the fish) so I would either go for octopus or sea bass from now on.   A few small rooms made it very noisy. They don’t take reservations for lunch so people have to wait in a row outside until they have room. The food was not good.   Laid back traditional Portuguese restaurant serving fresh seafood and bbq meats near avenue de liberdade. We tried the octopus salad to start, the cuttle fish and golden bream for mains. Probably not a great choice to get octopus and cuttle fish together but the food was really good! Both mains came with potatoes and a salad to share. The ambiance was fantastic and was a bit reminiscent of a chalet in Northern Europe, except it’s in Lisbon :) Service was friendly and fast. They do house wines which are decent and affordable if you want to make a full evening of it with friends!   Very friendly service. We ate quite late, around 10pm as we had no reservation and had to wait for a table.   I LOVE this place! Every time family or friends come to Lisbon I take them to this restaurant. It’s not expensive and the food (the meat) it’s greeeeat. I always order the Picanha because it’s my go to plate, but the other plates are also amazing. If you are looking to buy traditional Portuguese food this is the place you need to go. Ps.   WOW! We were on our way to another restaurant and stopped to check the menu when we heard afrobeats blasting from the window. Nothing afro about this place but we were so happy to have changed our plans. We ordered the variety of portugese sausages, the dry cheese, the fresh cheese, and the grilled sea bass. It was all EXCELLENT and cheaper than most of the prices we've been seeing around Lisbon. Can't recommend enough, we will certainly be back before we leave. Friendly staff and free wifi.   This restaurant is my favourite in Lisbon. It is extremely reasonably priced, of the highest quality and the staff are extremely friendly. I had the butchers steak each time and it was cooked to complete perfection. The starters are typical Portuguese fair and also excellent.   Amazing little place.. thought my uber had taken a wrong turn somewhere on the narrow steep cobblestone streets, but no, it's right there.   The restaurant is most of the times full - do a reservation in advance. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are fair. Try the grilled codfish - is very very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It might take some time when you need to request something but when you order it'll take about 10min, depending on the orders.   We went there for lunch - but arrived at a time when the restaurant was packed! We were told the wait for a table (for 7) would be "10 minutes." It was figurative. It turned out to be 45 minutes! But they took our order while we were still standing outside waiting. Eventually, once seated, the food arrived quickly. Inside the restaurant is spacious, but cramped! Authentic interior decor - very Portuguese. The staff were quick and friendly - though it looked as if they were over-worked! Its a very busy restaurant. But was it worth the long wait ? Was the food special in any way ? Not really. It was OK - reasonably tasty - but you could get the same quality in any of other restaurants dotted around the area. So my opinion is that if you want to eat here, go EARLY, or book a table in advance. But (in my opinion) I don't think the lunch menu was in any way special or "gourmet" compared to other restaurants nearby.
