  Lovely experience at this small cozy restaurant in centre of Lisbon. We did not book in advance but managed to get a table straightaway as it was fairly early. They offered us a high chair for our baby. We ordered 4 dishes, all are fairly good sized and delicious. Ingredients feel very fresh. Staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend.   I found the food to be spectacular. We only had two dishes, the polvo and the black ink pasta with shrimp. They were both simple dishes but done so well.   AMAZING WONDERFUL I omg the food is so good and yummy. Your best bet is to make a reservation. These restaurants always have a line. The restaurant is also very small.   We really likes this small restaurant. The service is really friendly and the food is delicious. It's not possible to make a reservation in advance, but the waiting time was only 10 minutes, so not a big deal. We enjoyed in the meantime the view and the nice weather.   Found on google maps and saw photos / reviews so made a bee line... there were 4 of us, and we got the last 4 seats. There was an open kitchen and we could see the meticulous attention to detail in the food service / presentation - every dish looked exactly like the photos on google! The only thing that could have made it better was a few outside seats, but the location on the steps makes that very challenging!   Found this restaurant on google and checked it out. We just got into Lisbon and we have a food tour today at 5 pm. I asked if I could order just one sardine. The waiter returned to our table and said yes, however it was a “gift” from the owner/cook. My wife had the Picanha and enjoyed it very much. Needless to say the staff is super friendly.   Never eat within eyesight of a major tourist spot—this is something to live by when traveling. And it pays off! This was a great place to get away from the hustle of Lisbon, just a couple minutes walk from one of the major squares (Rossio). They were excellent and the sides that came along with them were fantastic too. The servers were quick and attentive. All in all, a great find near the major touristy areas of Lisbon.   Was a cosy enjoyable experience, we filled the front half of the restaurant and watched the cooking process - felt like a private dining experience for us. 😄 Food was great, esp the fish of the day was excellent!!   Hard to find " kind of" ..it's "right there" but the sign out front is pretty small and a refrigerator blocks the entrance a little we went based on the reviews frankly ....which were spot on. Best meal so far in Portugal.. very authentic food. The grilled salmon was huge. Fish of the day was fresh whole bream so good w. lots of fresh veggies. My wife enjoyed the whole octopus. And open early for Portugal standards dinner we got off the train from Sintra STARVING at 5 pm.   We had a really fantastic lunch here. Thankfully we arrived early and had no problems getting a table. The octopus salad was delicious, and the octopus tender, the richness offset by the crisp pickled vegetables. The pasta and ‘shrimp’ was the highlight and is thoroughly recommended.   The place seems to be nice, but my meat (thin beef steaks) was quite bad unfortunately - some parts I couldn't chew at all, others were barely chewable. I also got rice instead of the fries that were on the menu (which I didn't mind though), my boyfriend got only rice while his dish was mentioning both rice and fries on the side. Other dishes around looked better, so probably just an unfortunate choice from the menu. Sangria was yummy, waiters were very nice.   We saw the queue to this restaurant. Its always a good sign. So next day we were here. There is nothing fancy in interior but we loved it from the first minute. The service was good (although the waiter said its not😁). Guys were very friendly. Food was gooooood. Luckily the menu is not so big! Next day we were back for lunch.   Awesome food!!! We tried their octopuse and salmon dish and it was amazing. The cheese cake is to die for! Just melts in your mouth! Highly recommend it. The ambience is a bit congested as its a very small place but the food is amazing so do try it. Service is great. We also took the white wine sangria which tasted good too!   Everytime I'm in Lisbon, this place is a must-go. the whole octopus is delicious and so, so tender. for the uninitiated, they could find it a bit salty, but it really is the garlic slices that are salty... or just drink more wine! the sardines you must order as well, they are really fresh and grilled to order. The house special steak is decent, but i could see people finding it a bit chewy if not properly tempering expectations of a cheap steak. The squid ink pasta with shrimps was also quite good. Everything is priced very afforadably and a great spot to dine at. It has become quite touristy over the last few years, but the food and service remains good. they have definitely built a good reputation.   Service was not the best . We were served by two different servers , our main server seemed to served us with a judgemental vibe , we felt uncomfortable after saying no to Bread & Cheese & requested for Tap Water . However glad they still served us our food . One of the dishes we ordered had a rotten potato . We gave a feedback but no apology was given by 2nd server and he replied its common. So guys , if you have a rotten root vegetable on your plate its "normal" . To be fair the Octopus was cooked well but the Codfish was overcooked. The space is ultra tight . If you a claustrophobic , tall or big built , be prepared to squeeze in. Also a note the management saw my post and apologized. Tentamos a sopa, salmão, bife e espaguete. Todos estavam bons (ver fotos). O único problema é que o lugar é pequeno (apenas algumas mesas), mas eles definitivamente merecem as 5 estrelas.

  Inexpensive restaurant with good food, huge portion, good service and friendly waiters. Go early to avoid crowd cuz it's a small restaurant. Close to Rossio train station. Highly recommended.
