  Five of us had a great night here trying a variety of tapas. All the food was delicious. Really good friendly service. Latitude is a fun place for a night out, though book in advance.   Very nice tapas diner at latitude. The service and ambience was great. The dishes were very tasty, especially the calimari, burrata and steak with truffle mash. I perosonally was a little less fond of the langoustine and pork cheek pie with gorgonzola, the orange flavour was a bit overwhelming and we could not find the gorgonzola. The wines were great, especially the pinot noir from Lisbon. So all in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.   Thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and meals. The cheese tray was excellent. We were unfamiliar with 3 of the cheeses and one of the kitchen staff came out to explain the unique qualities of each cheese. Excellent service.   Yesterday, 4th February I brought a large number of ladies to the Restaurant from my Facebook group @Lagos Ladies Sunday Brunch Group. There were 24 of us and everybody had a wonderful time. They all raved about the incredible set menu which Ollie and his chef had prepared for us and the amazing professional service we received from Carlos and his team. Personally, I have eaten here many times and I love their Tapas menu and I have never been disappointed. It's my favorite Restaurant in Praia da Luz and I have recommended it to so many family members and friends and they all come back to me saying how incredible the food is and all say they will go there again. Thank you again Ollie and your Team for looking after us so well.   By far the best service we had among all Algarve restaurants we‘ve been. The staff was overwhelmingly kind and very supportive. The food was amazing, great choice of tapas and main food, from seafood to beef and vegetarian options. You should try the grape leaves, chips and also the green peppers.   We had a great evening, with some excellent small dishes / tapas. The place is nicely decorated and the staff was friendly. It is however not cheap for the region. We followed the recommendation and ordered 3 tapas each. Including some wine this cost us 40 euros each. But it was worth it.   The restaurant caters for all tastes, we opted for 4 different tapas all gorgeous! The wine to accompany meal was lovely, the inside of latitude is far nicer than the street view. All in all a great experience, the staff and front of house are exceptional. Will be going back.   The second year we’ve been to Latitude (we had also been a third time when it was Boaty’s) and sorry to say we had such a disappointing meal. We chose it for our last evening in Luz as we’d had such a great time last year. Most of our food was very nice but my Mum’s sea bass was inedible (tiny piece of fish, loads of uncooked beetroot) and the atmosphere with the staff was very strange. Our main waitress was polite but shy and didn’t really know what to suggest when my mum complained about her food and said (very politely) it was inedible. The rest of our food was very nice, in fairness. The second waitress was very aloof. There was no sense of hospitality. We were also sat on a bit of a miserable table at the back of the outside area on our own, no atmosphere and felt a bit like we’d been stuck out there with the children. We didn’t go for a coffee or dessert (last night so we were up for going all out) and went to A Rocha down the road instead, which was lovely and friendly in comparison. Também estávamos sentados sozinhos em uma mesa miserável no fundo da área externa, sem atmosfera e nos sentíamos um pouco como se estivéssemos presos ali com as crianças. Não fomos tomar um café ou uma sobremesa (ontem à noite, então estávamos prontos para fazer tudo) e fomos para A Rocha no final da estrada, o que foi adorável e amigável em comparação.

  Very good food in many flavors. A smile from the service people would increase "service" to full 5 stars - no emotions visible during the whole 2 hours stay ... but professional in any other way.   I had the Burrata Salad and fries and I didn’t really like the salad - it tasted more like a dessert than a salad. However, the fries were good. What I didn’t like at all was the service. The food wasn’t brought at the same time for everyone and in the end the waiter was super unfriendly when we wanted to pay separately because we had very different drinks and foods. I know this costs a little more time, but considering the unequal share at the table it would have been a nice gesture.   We had dinner at Latitude tonight. Definitely the best place in the area we've been to. So many choices on the menu and everything is delicious and made with love. With excellent service from David tonight, who is so kind and has a good eye for detail, we had a very nice evening. I would recommend a night at Latitude to everyone.   Food was amazing and had lots of interesting tapas that was fresh. We had some issues with 2 of the dishes but they were able to take it back and fix it! Service was 110%!   Underwhelming given the high reviews. Service was excellent. The vibes were nice. However, the food was not great. Fries were rock hard. Salmon tartar was on top of stale bread and couldn’t taste the salmon. Even the house wine wasn’t very good, especially since it’s a wine and tapas bar.   WORST service ever in entire Algarve, super chaotic, they forget everything, took 20 minutes to come to table for drinks order, 2 hours until dinner was served, all personal tries to multitask, serve/wash/cocktails/order/cook but no structure at all...   One of the best meals I’ve had in Portugal, this restaurant serves traditional European/Portuguese cuisine with a modern flair. We had the octopus with romesco sauce, one of the focaccias, the burrata salad, the gyozas, a fish dish I don’t remember, and the mussels. All of them were amazing, with really great flavours, not too oily and very fresh. Prices seemed extremely reasonable too, tapas were all around 8-10 € per plate. The restaurant is extremely well decorated, feels super cozy, and the staff are super friendly. There is plenty of parking in the area even on a weekend evening.   We randomly found out about this tapas restaurant whilst walking around and went for a meal couple of days later. So far best dinner I have had in Luz in last two weeks of eating out. I can’t fault any of the dishes. Personal favourite was salmón tartare. Service is outstanding, the guy who served us was very professional but friendly at same time.   Great. Went for early dinner with 2 adults and a 2 year old. Very accommodating staff, excellent service, genuinely great food (a real contrast to many tourist traps around Luz). They also serve food earlier than many nearby. They had plenty high chairs and gave us pencils and a colouring book for the toddler. The friendly waiter told us they were fully booked, but if we would wait for maybe 20 mins at the bar, a table might open up. We agreed and 20 minutes later we sat at a table outside. Some of the tapas weren’t bad but the so called crab risotto had barely any crab meat and included shrimps (not mentioned in the description) , plus it was over salted. 16 euros for that is what I call a scam.   I ate here with my parents during our recent visit to Praia Da Luz. I’ve been to some incredible restaurants in Porto, Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra, and Lagos but this is the best restaurant in Portugal. The portion sizes were good, and all produce / seafood was as fresh as it gets. I’d recommend the padron peppers, calamari, white bait, and the crab risotto. Aside from the incredible food, the hospitality was 5-star. In particular it was a pleasure for us to meet Alex and one of the owners Oliver. Thank you guys so much for an incredible experience and the best way to end our trip. We can’t wait to come back and see what you have in store next time! Obrigado and hugs from the Chaplin family.   Definitely recommend! I've passed by Latitude at least a hundred times since I moved to Luz, but tonight was the first time I actually ate dinner there. We had a little celebration and Latitude turned out to be just the perfect place for this. Excellent service from a brilliant staff, a good menu (it's tapas, so you should have plenty of choice, without giving too much - this was, imho, a perfect balance), and good dishes. I loved the fish trio (tasty tasty tasty), the crab risotto, the salmon with beans, and my girlfriend loved the Black Angus carpaccio and cheese cake dessert. Good music (although it was on repeat) and a nice space/atmosphere made this is a really good evening for us. Since I can't drink wine myself, I can't speak from own experience, but I could see from the menu that a wine lover would be very happy here. So yes... I recommend! We were divided as to the best dish; some say the curry Prawns were the hit, and some say the Octopus and potatoes! Either way, you can't go wrong. For me the Sardine bruschetta was sublime.   Stopped for drinks and saw the Tapas menu, looked too good to pass up. Asked waiter to recomend a dry white and a dry rose, it was a good thing we ordered a glass first as neither of us liked our wine, it's a wine bar!. The Tapas were delicious and priced well. The waiter was grabbing our Tapas menu when we asked if he could leave it because we may want to order more, he said he didn't have enough menu's and would bring it back later, it's a Tapas bar! People want to have a menu to try out more things. He never returned with the menu. Between that and the two glasses of not so good wine we went home where we had a great 3.99€ on sale dry white waiting. The food was so good we may give it another try.   Went to Latitude last night for the first time and it wont be the last. It's a new restaurant in Luz and easily the best. It's a lovely place, Great food and wine, staff very experienced and friendly. Well worth walking the extra few steps up from all the Restaurants by the beach.
