  The octopus was so good, that I haven’t given a part of a tentacle to my bf, regardless I had promised him to left one. The veggies were amazing in this dish. Even onions cooked perfect - chewy and moist. Also rise with seafood was delicious and veeeery large portion. We ask to take leftovers to go. All desserts was delicious too.   Amazing place in fact the best sea food restaurant in Matosinhos. Their food is so delicious and fresh me and my girlfriend ordered for swordfish and black Scabbard it was complimented with baked potatoes and some fresh salad. We enjoyed the perfect lunch with some great wine and good service and kind waiters so friendly. Definitely coming back again and again.   Seafood dishes were good and reasonably priced. Service was strange. The first waiter started to take our order then just walked away??? What’s wrong with him? We sat outside so there was no ambience to speak of. I would have given better review if it wasn’t for this one waiter.   Ventured out to Tito 2 to get our seafood fix. Their original location, Tito 1, is next door. Our server spoke English. Wanted to try some percebes (barnacles) but they were out. Would have tried their amêijoas a bulhão pato (clams) but you can't order a half portion. - Porto tónico (4,50€) - light, easy drinking. - Sopa de peixe (4,00€) - fish soup with bread. Nice start to our meal. - Lulas salteadas (7,00€) - sautéed squid was fresh, cooked perfectly. - 2x Sardinhas (2,00€ each) - ordered two but received four. These were great. - 1/2 Dose polvo à lagareiro (17,00€) - portion was more than enough to share between two. Grilled octopus was succulent, nicely charred. Good quality seafood. 4.5 stars.   The best sardines I've ever tried. The sea bream was grilled, fresh and full of flavour. It comes with boiled potatoes and vegetables. The squid was a small portion for the cost, but it was also amazing, I'm not sure how they manage to make it taste so good. It's tangy, chargrilled like texture hits a sweet spot. No doubt the tiger prawns would also be good, but for obvious reasons they are frozen and imported so it didn't seem right to have them in Portugal.   Very popular place so be prepared to have to wait but we went around 12+ on a Thursday and was lucky without any queue. Because of its popularity, the servers were constantly busy so don't expect affectionate service. We ordered 3 dishes (see pictures) and the waiter was kind enough to inform that our initial order was way too much. The food was fresh and tasty but our dishes had similar base (olive oil) so it became quite overwhelming and we were pretty cloyed with the food towards the end.   Food is amazing. We got a selection of fish and it wasn't that expensive either. You can see the wood fire where the fish is cooked at the entrance. There is also seating outside which is perfect for a sunny day. Some things will be missing from the menu depending on what the fisherman brought in and the seasonality. Unfortunately they didn't have sardines when we had gone. The staff however is not very welcoming and always seemed busy to get to the next table. It took them 15-20 mins just for us to pay.   Very good restaurant! I tried grilled salmon, it was served with potatoes and cabbage. It was so tasty! Lemonade is so tasty too.   We travelled 40 mins on the recommendation of a random shopkeeper from the old town of Porto to this place. It was the most amazing meal we’ve had in the last 2 weeks of travelling through Spain and Portugal! We ordered the grilled octopus, the seafood rice and the grilled codfish. Each portion was HUGE and each dish was just mindblowing in its own way. Recommend the chocolate mousse and orange juice (seems to be off menu, but we saw a review mentioning it) for dessert.   The fish was exceptionally good - 10/10. Unfortunately the service was not perfect. We specifically asked that the salad doesn’t have any vinegar in it and the water said no problem. We didn’t ask about the potatoes (we didn’t think it would have any in it), but it came in a vinegar sauce. They could have been more thoughtful about the potatoes and a bit more attentive in general. The raspberry cheesecake wasn’t good unfortunately.   It’s not often that I feel a restaurant is worth 5 stars (we cook a lot on our own). Tito wholeheartedly deserves every single one of them. Easy to get to (bus 500, or 504 depending on where you are), in a cool place (next to ocean, a street where all restaurants cook on coal outside - Tito is on all the photos seemingly:-)), delicious meals (we had the sardines, sea bass, surprisingly delicious cabbage mixture), and overall very friendly and good service.   What can I say.. As a seafood lover, I was blown away by the freshness, simplicity how they were prepared, portion and value! Dose is the portion for 2. Kg is priced by weight. Four of us had a dose of sardines, a kg of golden bream, octopus for two, and a squid dish. The seasoning was very basic, sea salt, olive oil, lemon and parsley (on potatoes). Yet everything was so tasty. We had one member who did not like fish, one who is allergic to fish but not shell fish. We finished them all and left extremely satisfied! The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable of local wine and appreciative of fresh seafood. Highly recommended for anyone who is appreciative of simple and good food. Our waiter André was very attentive and made excellent recommendations of gambas and sardines for starters and squid for main which were all very fairly priced.   I took arroz de marisco (rise with seafood) for 1 person, and it was huge (I couldnt finish) and really good. It costs 16 eur. But I would recommend that portion for 2 people. Having so much for me - I didn’t feel well after that, too much food. Service was also good, polite waiters. I came around 7 pm when they’ve just opened. And within an hour the place was packed. People were already waiting in a queue, even though the place is big, lots of tables. When it becomes busy, the waiters have a loot of work and it can influence service.   A small looking restaurant in a street a bit away from the beach. If you go through the main entrance however you'll find a spacious room with more than enough tables to find yourself a seat.   The garlic prawns were delicious as were the sardines. We didn't really like the bacalhau a lagageiro (cod with olive oil and garlic) , it had a strange aftertaste - possibly due to the preservation in salt that most cod in the country are treated to. The waitress did her best to be helpful and there are English speakers in the wait staff. Not much was done about the fact that we didn't like the cod. We also had sangria and the dessert was nice - caramel flan with port wine and lemon meringue pie. Also tried the caldo verde, but not a fan of the texture of booked chorizo.   Absolutely wonderful food and service. We were recommended the area by our Airbnb host and walked along the Douro and coast which took a while, but every step was worth it. We ordered turbot, golden bream (and for the non fish eaters on the table, the pork ribs and steak) plus some extra sides (honestly the dishes come with enough). We turned up as a group of five on a Friday night without a reservation expecting to be turned away and were accommodated as asked on their terrace. The service was excellent - really responsive. Much more important was the fish - superb. We were shown the fish at our table f before it was grilled at the barbecue behind the seating area. Sides were delicious (particularly the potatoes) and generous. Wine selection was cheap and brilliant and set off the fish perfectly. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.   If you are in Matosinhos and you love fresh seafood, it is definitely worth a detour. Bus 500 or 502 takes you to the place. Be there early around 12 noon if you do not have a reservation.   Superb. Fully worth the trip from Porto Centre to get truly fresh fish. Probably one of the top 10 best restaurants I've ever had a meal at. I had the grilled swordfish and it came with a large side order of potatoes and vegetables for €10.50. The vegetable soup was also very good and it was only €2.   This is probably thebest sea food restaurant in town and we have tried quite a few. It's recommended by not only Google or trip advisor but also the locals. We have high expectations on the food and they do not disappoint. The main cooking method is grill in Portugal. I would say it's one of the best sea food I had I Portugal.   We had sea bass for dinner. It was grilled to perfection, the sides of cabbage and potatoes were absolutely yummy. The service was excellent.   This place is amazing. First off, it was busy we had to wait, but it was worth it and the staff were excellent. Secondly, the fish. I had Mackerel, swordfish and the fried squid to start. As expected they were all perfect. Dare I say it the best I've ever had. The squid had just a hint of hotness. So good! Thirdly the cabbage that comes as standard with the fish. So delicious, buttery and excellently seasoned, that was not expected. Finally top it all off with a creme brulee and an espresso. The best last day of my holiday.   I am actually surprised by the service in this restaurant! Excellent food, the best fish I have ever eaten with no doubt. The quality is so high, quantity as well, and the very cheap!   BOTTOM LINE: must visit. The best fish we had in Portugal. The atmosphere is really great; I recommend sitting outside so you can see the chef preparing your food on the grill. The service is good, the fish is unbelievably fresh, tender, and delicious. The golden sea bream was the crème de la crème. The atmosphere is fantastic; the entire street is made up of little restaurants where the chef mans the grill in the middle of the street for all to see.   We had a great dinning experience at Tito 2. The fish was cooked on a charbroiled grill and was very tasty and obviously very fresh.   really nice squid they have. I started with a squidsalad, again they put olives and bread on the table (not free of charge) with out asking for it :( They didnt put it on the bill when I refused to eat it. As a main course I also chose squid (grilled) , I ordered boiled potatoes with parsil and garlic and a nice White wine from Douro. It was so good! Comecei com uma salada de lula, novamente colocaram azeitonas e pão na mesa (não de graça) sem pedir :( Não colocaram na conta quando me recusei a comê-lo. Como prato principal escolhi também lulas (grelhadas), pedi batatas cozidas com salsinha e alho e um belo vinho branco do Douro. Foi tão bom! Bônus eles mostraram aos clientes o peixe fresco que iriam preparar.
