  Service is so warm and well trained - always a smile! Food is excellent. Nice sized portions. Breads and Bagels made in house - real bagels! A rare and tasty treat outside of NY/NJ. Eggs cooked perfectly especially the poached eggs that are firm on the outside and pleasantly runny inside, perfect for the dishes they sit upon. Mac n Cheese is what grandma would have made with nice addition of chives. A little hot sauce on the side, followed by a sip of expertly made coffee…there is no better way to awaken the senses on a lazy Porto day. Phil, the owner, is super-nice.   We had a smoothie, juice, the eggs benedict, fried chicken, and the envy toast. The eggs benedict and the fried chicken were the best bits, the avocado toast wasn't particularly well seasoned and the smoothies were OK but not amazing. Worth a visit but not mind blowing.   Have been looking for a brunch place that serves food like in North America. Nothing comes close but then by accident we find this restaurant. Totally amazing & exactly what we were looking for.   My favorite place that I enjoyed breakfast while visiting the city! dined here with no booking and as a solo traveler. Ordered the Parliament Benny and treated myself with a mimosa. The parliament Benny is eggs benedict with their own unique twist. The eggs were perfectly poaches, the hollandaise was richly flavored but not heavy and the arugla gives a nice peppery note. Portions were quite large and could easily be split between 2 to save room later for snacking around the city. Overall friendly staff, clean and inviting atmosphere and a super convenient location right near several major bus lines and local attractions for after you enjoy your meal.   Cute place with friendly service and the cinnamon latte was good. Sadly, we were a bit disappointed with the food. I had the gold digger and thought there wasn’t much flavour to it/ the banana had a hint of a weird taste like garlic to it (I wonder if maybe the chef touched garlic or something similar and then the banana and it was just contact exposure). My partner had the chicken and waffles and thought it was under seasoned/ did not enjoy the mac and cheese at all. So sad- we had high hopes for this place but it fell short (and at a fairly high price point compared to our other meals in Porto).   We had the american breakfast and the eggs benedict, with a side of mac and cheese. Everythint was super tasty, the pancakes were perfect, bagel awesome as well. Maybe we would skip the pasta another time (it wasnt amazing) and if you dont order the eggs benedict, avoid the poached eggs (without the hollandaise they can taste a bit vinagry).   This restaurant has the best customer service for making you feel welcome. They ask you for your preferences for seating and even if you need to charge your phone. The food is fine, they do not have jam for your toast and they only have one cheese if you want for your eggs and it comes on the side. We ordered a side of Mac n cheese and it was forgotten, but did arrive eventually. The seating is the best in the city and it's quiet, intimate. You feel relaxed and not pressured to be in a hurry. We went there with our baby and a more casual looking and the responsible managed to keep us away from entering with a million excuses. Sad thing is, we went there 3/4 more times, and when we were more well dressed, the guy always found a way to put us through. I think it is horrific the way we were treated.   Wow, just wow! We arrived a few minutes before opening and were greeted by a lovely gentleman who offered us water-with ICE-while we waited for the staff to “get caffeinated”. I jokingly said, “give us your best table” as we were escorted in. He did! We were seated in a bright, airy corner giving us the vantage point of all the happenings. We were informed of where the washroom was, should we need it, and offered menus in English. We were shown drink options, to include an espresso martini and our server made sure to add “no judgement here if you want a martini in the morning.” On to the food. A variety of selections, all unique, catering to both carnivores and vegetarians alike. We decided to share the avocado toast, the pancakes (with crème fraiche) and a side of chicken for my companion. The food arrived relatively quickly and proceeded to blow both our minds and our palates. What made SWALLOW even more special was that on at least 3 occasions someone stopped by to see if we needed anything or how our experience was going. Not in any way intrusive. This has not happened ONCE in all of our travels through Spain and Portugal this holiday. So refreshing! I felt sad that we couldn’t consume all of our food and might have asked for one piece of chicken rather than two (both were generous portions). SWALLOW was one of our Porto highlights.   Absolutely unreal. The person who greeted us (I think he was the owner) was so welcoming, I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. The staff were all super friendly. We got the juice of the day (carrot and orange) and it was so good... I got the desert eggs (baked in tomato and peppers) and my partner got the hot mama cakes, which were divine.. light, fluffy, there was this unusual looking butter which we realised had honeycomb in it, this was my favourite part along with the berry coulis!!!   This place is overrated, I don't understand the 4,8 rating. Just go to Floresta by Hungry biker and you'll get much better food for your money. Our food took too long to arrive, the potatoes weren't hot, but lukewarm and kinda dry. The ingredients were not fresh including the salmon, fruit and bagel. The prices were high, even though I expect to pay for this kind of brunch. The cinnamon bun was amazing though. Take that to go when walking by. The service was nice and atmosphere chill.   Wish I’d read the reviews mentioning parents trying to come in with their babies/kids. Got here first thing on a Tuesday morning with our calm 6month old in a stroller, their first customers of the day. We were greeted with an icy demeanour and told to wait to be seated. Cool. We were then greeted by another staff member who was definitely warmer but placed us at the first table in the corridor rather than in the main room. It was an awkward table and my husband kept having to move his chair to let staff members and customers go past. We figured out that they were trying to keep us isolated from the main room, which again given that we were the first customers there on a quiet morning was awfully obvious what they were trying to do. Rather than make us feel welcome and comfortable they made a point to push us in a corner. Let’s get to the food - tourist prices but without the quality to back it up. The food looks nice but tastes like nothing you’ll remember. This place is not representative of the warmth and hospitality of Porto and I recommend you find somewhere else to spend your money and time. However, the food quality is NOT met the expectations. I ordered Fan-sea Bagel. The bagel was good and chewy, but the salmon was so disappointing. I would go grocery store and buy a better one with cheaper price. The matcha latte looked good but tasted OK. The side fruits seem like sitting in the store for a while as I can feel the flavor of pineapple/apple/melon are mixed with each other.   This place was recommended to me from a friend, it was good, I do think that it’s a very nice establishment with excellent service, but to be honest, for the amount of food I got I would’ve liked to have paid less. I got the desert eggs (I believe that’s what the dish was called) and it was satisfactory. It could have used an additional egg.   We came here for breakfast and it was fantastic! I had the “desert eggs” (basically shakshuka— great savory vegetarian option) and my partner had the “like a boss” (chicken and waffles) and we both LOVED our dishes! The coffee was amazing too, and the staff were very friendly and helpful and even gave us a map of the city.   Great brunch place. I was blown away by how brilliant the service is here from owner and staff, the owner didn't rush from us, chatted and explained the menu to us (even though we didn't make reservation). However, a few things fell short -- such as getting a weak, incorrect ratioed, watery flat white; slightly uncooked chicken on my Like a Boss order with no maple syrup no less (add to order as an extra). The cold fruit salad given, whilst well meant, also did not add to the dishes. This would've been better served as a free suprise at the end or taken off completely. More does not mean better.   Rare that a place is so good that I forget to take any photos. Staff was incredibly welcoming and communication was outstanding as we had to make a couple of changes to our reservations. The small entryway belies how much space is available in the beautiful dining room - very spacious. Great safety measures were obvious at every turn. Server was on point, the owner greeted us and chatted a couple of times and even the culinary team, visible in the open kitchen, engaged with us and were obviously happy we enjoyed their food.   Nice space, nice, attentative staff, good prices. The food was good but some things were kinda off. For example, was not a huge fan of the pita bread which still had too much flour and little texture and flavour. The "rosti" potato had some off flavour, like burnt oil or something and was not very appetising. I wish I had a different sauce accompanying the waffles... all in all, there were some details that prevented us from fully enjoying what would, otherwise, be delicious dishes.   Loved the shakshuka type eggs and the freshly squeezed pineapple, lemon, ginger, honey juice. Nicely set up interiors and very friendly staff.   Visited Swallow Brunch late July, shortly after it had oppened. The place has a great vibe and decor, the staff are great and helpful! The food: amazing. Had a Cubana sandwich (huge! check out the picture) and tried a bit of the brownie and pie for desert. Loved it all.   Unique brunch spot in Porto! Visited last August and it certainly did not disappoint, with its big portions (it's an american brunch restaurant after all!), fresh ingredients and attentive service.
