  Cozy home style restaurant in the tourism area. The hostess is very welcoming and kind lady. Food is good. I think this is a good choice to sit down after one day walk in the old town. Service was great. And it's a little bit pricy to eat here, but I guess it's still reasonable (consider the location and how busy it is). You would find better local food with much cheaper price if you want to take a Bolt/Uber to get outside the tourists area.   We had a lovely dinner and excellent service. We each had the vegetable soup and vegetable linguini. The vegetables were so fresh. The portions were hearty. More importantly the service was first class and they made us feel like we were life long customers. We were going back tonight but they are closed tonight.   Super nice place. It is small but well organized, the lady is super nice and pays very much attention to all the clients. The dishes were super good, well presented and everything was fresh. We had dumplings Cod as appetizer, linguini with shrimps and tomatoes, gratin codfish and cheesecake for dessert. The entire dinner was a success, my girlfriend and I had a very nice time and we were treated in the kindest way possible.   Amazing mother and daughter restaurant located close to the water. Their enthusiasm and passion for food was palpable, all of their food tasted fresh and homemade. We had the vegetable soup, caldo verde soup, cod gratin, and black spaghetti with prawns. For dessert, we had the dream cake and lime pie. Everything we had was great, especially the desserts!! Keep in mind the restaurant only has 18 seats and they do not have a dining time limit, so ymmv when it comes to how long you’ll wait (if at all). Reservation recommended.   We sat down for some early tapas before the sun set, there are a bunch of really busy places closer to the water that we skipped, and we are so glad we found this place. We sat outside and still had a nice view of the plaza and waterfront. We were greeted and served by the owner who was so kind and friendly. The food was incredibly good. We got melon with ham, padrano peppers, cod dumplings, and ‘dream cake’. I’d order the same thing next time I go because it was so good, and then try some more.   Cannot reccomend this place enough. First of all we were greeted by a lovely and amazing restaurant owner, who took care of getting us a table in busy hour. Her smile and attitude is hard to forget and makes me smile while I am writing this review. And then - the food came in. Delicious, prepared with love. So no wonder that we came here on the second day too (of our 2 days Porto visit). And will definitely come back, when we will visit Porto again!   We ate here for our first night in Porto and could not have asked for a better introduction to the city! All the food was incredible - particular shoutout to the dream cake dessert which is the house speciality. What makes this family run restaurant so special is definitely the people though.   So good we came twice. Booked by email both times. Only time you can book is 630pm. Not ideal but hey. Had a beautiful window seat both times so could look out into the Sq. Food was brilliant. The dream cake is dreamy no doubt about it. Also the duck noodles although was a little strange to have an al dente carrot in there. Monica was awesome as were all the staff.   Even though I'm still not sure if Francesinha suits my personal taste, I do think they were really well prepared. Located within sight of the Douro River, the ambiance is naturally quite lovely. As a bonus, the restaurant has an upstairs area with at least 2 tables by the window. What stood out for me was the waitress. She had a genuine, warm smile, was very friendly and attentive.   The food is amazing! We enjoyed a bunch of tapas and the lie pie is amazing!! Don’t forget to try the mountain cheese, especially if you want to experience Portuguese culture. More, during the course of the night the waitress and another presumed owner made us feel at home, with jokes and making sure all was well. The food couldn’t have been any better! The tuna steak was perfectly cooked and tasted great while my girlfriends sirloin was just as good. The chocolate cake was to die for, 100% recommend it. The best part about it all is that my girlfriend loved their little spoons. She made sure to eat the cake with it. Without even asking, the waitress recognized the love for the spoon and offered one as a souvenir when giving the check. This restaurant was unbelievably good and had more than amazing service.   Our first night in Porto we walked by RS and the food looked amazing. They were turning away people. We tried to get in the 2nd night with no luck and finally got in the 3rd night with a reservation. Make a reservation! Monica and her daughter run an amazing restaurant. Waitress was incredibly kind and hospitable, spoke different languages to all of us (we had an international group), the food was amazing (highly recommend the cheese plate and the cod dumplings).   We had dinner here tonight with our kids, and it was excellent. The owner was so incredibly kind, even bringing blankets for the kids when they were chilly. The cheese board was beautiful and filled with local cheeses, the stuffed mushrooms were delicious, and the cheesecake was a perfect ending.   So, we decided to visit due to the insanely high score based on the reviews. The owner and the rest of the stuff were really kind. We didn’t have reservation and managed to get a table in no time. Maybe just a good luck. Now the rest. The food is … ok, at best. The portions are small sized based on my experience in the rest of the restaurants in Porto, but the prices are the opposite. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place, there are way more better option based on my experience.   Lovely food and drinks. I ordered the trio of sausages, stuffed mushrooms, potatoes bravas and melon and ham. I wasn’t sure what to expect as the restaurant is in such a great location to attract tourists but the food was amazing. They had a few vegetarian friendly options also. I don’t eat a lot of meat but the trio of sausages was amazing. I asked our server about how they are made and found out they were all made in house. The stuffed mushrooms are the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. I’d recommend for any vegetarians or mushroom lovers. Potato bravas were amazing (hard to go wrong).   We didn’t come hungry but we left overwhelmed! Resistance is futile! One of the best fish soups served, made with passion as they said. So good that i wanted more and more. Ruby Porto wine and Tawny were brought for tasting and one was gifted. We took those 3 desserts as a last will with the wine and there was a party of tastes! To make things worse it was really really pricy in comparison to the quality of the food. Service and view was good though, but I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.   We came here twice just for the seafood rice. The rice was just so amazing blend and we can’t help but fell in love with it. Nice atmosphere and nice location.   Great service, super atmosphere. I didn't have a reservation, but they let me sit on a bench upstairs and peruse the menu while another table paid their bill. The server suggested two wines to accompany dinner and dessert and let me taste to decide. Ratatouille was average, but the other dishes I stalked at nearby tables looked divine.   We wandered through most of streets near the waterfront and stopped by this restaurant. It had the most appealing menu to us, but the server very nicely and apologetically told us that the place was full with a 6-party wait. So we made another loop around the Ribeira to check out more restaurants, then came back 40 minutes later and was told it is now a 10 minute wait - huzzah! Got seated upstairs - it is intimate and sweet inside. The servers were friendly and service was fantastic and prompt. We ordered the black linguine with prawns and cod square. Both were too salty for our taste, but the portions were generous and the prawns were decent sized. The server recommended a dry local white, Kopke - so good and refreshing.   Great food! The octopus carpaccio is incredible and so is the seafood rice. The staff are really nice, although some seemed new so were a bit nervous and inexperienced - regardless, they did their best to perform at high standard. They also offer a free drink at the end, which is highly appreciated! A place that is worth coming back to for its delicious dishes and great service, if you can overlook the rather small dining area where you have to squeeze in to fit (once seated, it's great).   The food and presentation was very good. We had reservation for 7:00 pm, the time that they open for dinner, and we're promptly seated. The service, although it slowed down when the restaurant got busy by the end of our dinner, was friendly and professional. We tried the Caprese Salad, Pork Sirloin and Fettuccini with mushrooms. Great wine recommendations from Ana who also provided swift service, and helped me navigate the brilliant concept of the flambé chorizo where you get to be chef for a few minutes! Fernando, the owner, was also friendly and came to our table to ensure we enjoyed our meal. The tapas portions are not small. Use discretion to avoid over ordering.   Food was nice but the portions were pretty small. Their menu was not that wide either and some of the meals had quite a lot of olive oil poured over. The service was really friendly but, unfortunately, slow. Some of us had finished before others had even gotten their food. I'm not sure I would revisit this restaurant.   Friendly staff, nice place, good location. Unfortunately is the food not as good as the rating. Francesinha was OK. Rice with seafood was also ok. The steak was rather disappointing ( not really a steak as u know it. And we still think it was pork) The dishes didn't come together, so one of us four had to eat when the others already finished. The chocolate desert was pretty good. So I'd say it's a good place to eat, but in comparison to price it's a average restaurant.   I had a fantastic evening at this restaurant, the owner and staff were incredibly welcoming with a great sense of humour. The food was also incredibly tasty with decent sized portions and the deserts were just as good. Definitely have a try of the banoffee pie! Would certainly recommend giving this restaurant a try.
