  Absolutely incredible experience here. My husband and I went last night for our first evening in Porto, and it did not disappoint. We split the veal ravioli and the sea bass, and both were exquisite. The dark chocolate mousse was also amazing. The ambience was ever better than photos show.   I was skeptical; found this place via TikTok and was afraid it would be of the Miami-beach-restaurant-group variety (overdone, emphasis on vibe over food, etc.) Did not turn out to be the case! Food was good — 8/10, solid and enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and not too noisy. Service was impeccable, although the food took a while to come out (not the servers’ fault!) We really liked the tempura soft shell crab!   If you are in Porto Portugal a mandatory tapa and Flow restaurant. Havanna style atmosphere, very refined and elegant. The staff are truly trained, professional... there's little to say and they're top notch. Not to mention the delicious food!!!! We had a wonderful evening for my husband's birthday and if you want to feel special this is the place for you.   Wow, the food here is honestly lovely. I booked as a treat night. I wouldn’t say it’s your average dining experience - it’s lovely for a special occasion or last night in Porto. We had the prawn and scallop dish to start which is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It was delicious. Followed by the beef tenderloin and Angus beef steak. Both of which were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The sangria was really good value and lovely. Staff were all very friendly and knew the menus inside out. The only thing I’d say to be aware of is that service is quite slow although I’m not sure if this is intentional. We just did starter and main and we were there for just over two hours. Not a problem if you’re enjoying a few drinks and the lovely atmosphere but it did start to drag as we waited for the bill. As with a few restaurants in Porto, there are a few hidden charges - the bread that’s brought to you, plus the water. The bread and butters were great but I wouldn’t have chosen them off the menu for €6. Overall I would really recommend for a real experience and good food. 3 x drinks, 1 x starter and 2x mains came to €103. (Traduzido pelo Google) Uau, a comida aqui é honestamente adorável. Tal como acontece com alguns restaurantes no Porto, existem alguns custos ocultos - o pão que lhe é trazido, mais a água. O pão com manteiga estava ótimo, mas eu não os teria escolhido do menu por 6 €. No geral, eu realmente recomendaria uma experiência real e boa comida. 3 bebidas, 1 entrada e 2 pratos principais custaram 103 €.

  Really lovely dining experience. We booked this for our second night in Porto as it was a birthday. The restaurant is a gorgeous space and has a pleasing ambiance. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We all had a cocktail to start. Mine was an Old Fashioned and was excellent. I had tuna ceviche to start which was delicious. I shared a beef wellington main course for two with one of my friends. I had never had this dish before and it was delicious. I had a pineapple carpaccio dessert which was refreshing. We all really enjoyed the whole experience. The service, the ambiance and the food all were outstanding.   Our food took more than 1.5h to arrive. We visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We arrived at 9:00 PM and ordered a starter and a main dish. However, after wait of over 1.5 hours, our food still hadn't arrived. This long wait forced us to cancel our order and seek dinner elsewhere. Given this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others visiting the city.   One of our best meals in Porto. We selected the Bras which contained scallops and shrimp for a starter, while the hubby had the Carne with Vegetables and I chose the Seabass with asparagus risotto with campaign sauce. Both were excellent. The food was superb, the atmosphere was modern chic and nicely appointed. Baskets were provided for purses or personal items along with a small sideboard table for overflow. The superstar of the show was the service. The entire staff was outstanding and extremely attentive. Not once did I have to fill my own glass from the water carafe or wine bottle. It was a fine dining experience. The only disappointment was the campaign sangria which was way below standard for this upscale restaurant. We highly encourage anyone to have a great dining experience and meal at Flow - just order something other than the sangria and I am sure it would be a five star experience.   Very average quality of dishes for this price. I don’t recommend the dish from the photo. The shrimp were really hard and tasteless. The pasta was overcooked with an unpleasant taste of shrimp shells. We also had octopus dishes, baked Camembert and cheesecake. Unfortunately, I can only recommend Camembert. The mains were good, but I'd follow the waiters' recommendations and then they'll likely be really wow. The dessert was the BEST, maybe the best dessert I've ever had.   Lack of understanding in customers' experience. We ordered food and cocktails and one of the drinks wasn't good at all. We asked to replace but they didn't care. Also, before the food they served us tiny buns and butter and only when we asked for the bill we saw they charged us for that, without notifying on this in advance. Typical tourist trap.   Beautifully decorated, really chill vibes. Service was amazing, me and my wife both got the beef tartare, really generous portion! I got the iberico pork dish which was amazing, and my wife got the sesame tuna dish which she said was 10/10! We shared a seemingly never ending jug of sangria and the peanut cheesecake which was very indulgent.   The overall experience was good, but I don’t see the point in asking dietary requirements in advance if the restaurant staff is not going to act upon them and I still have to ask and tell them myself. That is a missed point in service. Furthermore the staff is very friendly, ambiance is great and food was delicious. The toilets don’t match the standerd of the restaurant though, they are dirty and could use a makeover.   Tailored to American tourists the food is decent. The tuna ceviche is off and the cream on top is off putting because it makes a person nauseous. Ruining the dish the cream is sour, smelly and just disgusting . A complete waste of money. Thankfully the meal is saved for us by the sea bass with asparagus risotto, and the chicken truffle mushroom dish. Desert and service is meh and you’re better off just picking up two entrées at this place. Save your money,and time and order only two entrées as the desert appetizers and service is lacking. Overall while we enjoyed it, it was maybe a bit too upscale and therefore touristy for our taste. Don’t go expecting traditional Portuguese food!   Flow was hand down the best food we had in Porto. Our server Genesis gave us some recommendations and we each ordered one of the dishes he selected. Both were incredible, the food was perfectly cooked with unique but approachable flavors. Lots of fresh vegetables and herbs complimented quality proteins. Since Genesis picked such amazing mains we also let him select dessert for us. He was 3 for 3 and brought the best dessert of our lives. It was the pumpkin mi-cuit. Describing it won’t do it justice, you just have to try it. The atmosphere of Flow was so pleasant, well decorated and the servers are very well trained. We didn’t get a chance to speak to the manager but we saw her floating around the restaurant making sure everything was running smoothly. We highly recommend Flow and Genesis to any one in Porto!   Our frei ds recommended Flow and they were so right. We came with the whole family, 5 oeople. We got a round table which is far better for a group of 5 and more. Our waiter spoke good English same as the hostess. He was able to answer all questions, provide wine recommendation and overall provide great service throughout dinner. As for the food, well, it was amazing from the starters through main course and deserts. We had the carpaccio, saviche and grilled camambert - all super delicious. For main course we had the sea bass, black Angus steak, the tuna, a rissoto and the fillet mignon - all very good. For deserts we had the apple pie and the fondant - superb. We planned to have more than one drink with appetizer and diner, just weird. Our server came back to see us with the dersert menu after approx 1 hour from taking our initial orders...   Really disappointing visit to Flow when we were in Porto. The food was incredibly overpriced for what it was, and everything was over seasoned and we didn't finish any of our dishes. Maybe it was because we had incredible meals at other restaurants the two nights before visiting Flow, but it was an all round disappointing experience. The service was poor and the atmosphere was pretentious. There are much better places to visit in Porto and I would advise that you look elsewhere for an enjoyable dining experience.   Absolute 5/5. This place is more on the fancier side of things but absolutely delivers. We had a carpaccio and a tomato ceviche as a starter and the Iberian pork and the steak as a main. The steak was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. The wine (Casa de Compostela) and the cocktails were great too. The waitress was very friendly and provided a relaxed atmosphere. The service is reasonable, depending on the crowd and the night. My only negative is that they have a two hour seating limit. For us, we can make two hours work if the service for drinks and three courses is efficient. But I didn't like the hostess checking on us when we were looking for the server to bring the bill.   Not good at all. Terrible service. I booked the restaurant over a month ago and arrived to the reception having confusion about where to sit us. There was plenty of empty tables of two but we were put on a very uncomfortable bar stool. We asked could we go in a different table but the very rude lady said unfortunately not and then when I said we would go elsewhere due to bad back she said sorry we are fully booked as if we didn’t have a reservation. I explained we booked over a month ago. This all came after I had a missed call from them, followed up after our flight and she explained they had sorted their double booking. Absolutely shocking. Can’t believe the service is absolutely SHOCKING!!! Atmosphere looked nice but unfortunately for the terrible service which seemed like it was coming from The head waiter. Don’t go it’s a tourist trap! Such a waste of our time! Also not a nice experience to go into a restaurant and have to leave! Luckily there has been amazing service and food elsewhere to make up for terrible service there.   What a beautiful place, very trendy, cozy and lovely staff. However, the food was not as beautiful as the place! We ordered the tuna ceviche which was delicious, then the beef carpaccio which it was pretty average and then the mushroom and pumpkin risotto, both were pretty average. We also ordered the camembert which was delicious, but there is nothing to cook there and finally the apple pie for dessert which it was good too but I was expectint more. The design of the place is nice but the food was so so, we had the soft shell crab which was ok but nothing special, fish curry, also just ok and seabass with risotto which I found quite nice. Our group got many of the appetisers and the seared salmon and Brie cheese were favourites by far. Skip the tuna ceviche, but go for the seared tuna entree with rice cake tempura and cabbage slaw.   Failed attempt at upscale dining. The setting was nice, service was great and meals arrived promptly but the food was very average, especially given the price. It felt like food from a slightly outdated hotel restaurant with a confused menu that tried to do too much. Pasta and ravioli were ok at best. Despite asking the staff several times, my party and I waited an unreasonable hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive.   If you are looking for the heart warming hospitality of Porto people this is not the place to go, the food is good, just don't expect a nice and emphatic service. I went to dinner to celebrate the birthday of a friend, when we arrived to the restaurant we were told that due to an miss communication, about the number of people that were attending the dinner, we were told that we had to stay in 2 separate close to each other. We politely ask if we could simply join the tables that were more or less 2 M appart so we can be all together during the dinner. We even explained that 2 girls had come to Porto on propose from Paris to celebrate our friends birthday and that by being on 2 separate tables we couldn't be all together. Our request was simple to join 2 tables that were adjacent to each other, but by being 2 meters apart we couldn't be all together and it looked like we were 2 seperate groups. The staff refuse the request defending that they couldn't change the restaurant layout. They didn't offer any sort of or compensation or solution for the situation and forced us to proceed the dinner in 2 seperate tables as 2 seperate groups. I never gave a review less than 4 stars, but this restaurant lack of empathy and the cold way it treated us, sure deserves a one star review. Pedimos educadamente se poderíamos simplesmente juntar as mesas que estavam a mais ou menos 2 M de distância para que possamos estar todos juntos durante o jantar. Até explicamos que duas meninas tinham vindo de Paris em casamento para comemorar o aniversário dos nossos amigos e que por estarmos em duas mesas separadas não poderíamos estar todas juntas. Nosso pedido era simples de juntar 2 mesas adjacentes uma à outra, mas por estarmos separados por 2 metros não podíamos estar todos juntos e parecia que éramos 2 grupos separados. Os funcionários recusam o pedido defendendo que não poderiam alterar o layout do restaurante. Eles não ofereceram nenhum tipo de compensação ou solução para a situação e nos forçaram a prosseguir o jantar em 2 mesas separadas como 2 grupos separados. Nunca dei uma avaliação com menos de 4 estrelas, mas a falta de empatia deste restaurante e a forma fria como nos tratou, com certeza merece uma avaliação de uma estrela.

  Have visited this beautiful restaurant several times in the last couple of years when visiting Porto and also this time I managed online a table for three for a (business) dinner. I know very little restaurants in Porto, or better, in Portugal/Europe/World, which got it so right as this one! It´s like a good wine, after time it becomes even better! The ambiance and decoration is spot-on, the food is devine and the service professional, yet relaxed. We had the pleasure to being served by the guy called Genesis and he seems to be made for this job and restaurant. Almost invisible, never bothering the conversations and yet very available when you need him. Impressive that year after year this restaurant keeps surprising me, keeps me wanting to come back!   Delicious upscale restaurant in Porto. It is a bit on the outskirts of the main streets but definitely not far. We had a great server who recommended us the best choices (both food and drinks!) We didn't have reservations and was lucky enough to get bar seating. I highly recommend booking a table in advance as they were booked for the whole night (we came as soon as they opened).   Very poor service. It started well, although we haven’t booked, we were seated after a short wait. We were after the desserts as we already had an early dinner. After choosing our desserts and drinks, instead of a service we get approached by this member of staff to basically tell us that we don’t qualify for this table for “desserts only” and that the bar would be for that. How embarrassing and inconsiderate of a customer. You don’t seat them and let them choose only to be humiliated soon after.   Came here on our final night in Porto. Absolutely fantastic and polite service. Felt like VIPS! The sea bass was absolutely delicious with the risotto. Cocktails were brilliant also. I was not informed at any point of making my reservation that we only had the table for two hours. Not in the email confirmation, not by the hostess upon arrival and not by the waiter. When we got to the stage of the main dish, I was refused the dish I wanted as they said they didn't have time to prepare it for me. This was the first time I was informed we only had the table for two hours. After showing the manager the emails from the restaurant that said nothing about a time limitation, the feeling was that they just didnt care.   Had reserved, initially they couldn't find the reservation upon arrival. Then sat waiting for quite a while waiting for a menu, in the end had to flag down a waiter for it. The locale is nice enough, but so dark it was almost hard to see the food. Got starters, tuna tartar and scallops, both of which were good, especially the tartar, exquisite. Had the octopus main course. A couple of tentacles were served on a huge mound of some greenish mash that didn't taste of much, and didn't particularly suit octopus well. The octopus was not rubbery, but just didn't have much flavour. Was disappointed. Had to ask for some lemon to spruce it up, didn't help much. The food was a delight to the eyes though. Desserts were passable. Overall - for a bill of €118 - I don't feel we got our money's worth, and wouldn't come over again.   One of our favourite meals while in Porto. It’s a bit further from the main tourist area, but it was lovely to get away from the crowds to somewhere more relaxing and refined.   The reservation desk service quality doesn’t match the overall rating of the restaurant. I tried to book a table at two different times and the way my request was addressed was both times disappointing. While a good restaurant is expected to be fully booked it’s also expected to treat potential customers courteously. Having the phone hanged up before I was able to ask for another date or suggest to call another time speaks for itself with regards to the level of service desk, as does the reply to my review below.   A big disappointment. I got severe food poisoning from my visit. I did not have lunch rather than just fruit, so I am certain about where I got it from, having had to stay for one full day in the hotel room due stomach sickness. Furthermore, the visit itself was not not as pleasant as one would expect. The bartenders were nice overall (besides one of the managers) and the decoration and atmosphere were cool but very bad food quality. The correlation between quality and pricing is absurd, and the dishes that we order were highly disappointing, especially taking into account how good you usually eat in Portugal. I must say though that one of the managers (a woman whose name I cannot recall) was very welcoming, as she did her best to provide us a table although we went without a reservation. Nevertheless there was another manager (a man) that was awfully pretentious and unpolite, putting pressure on us to even leave a tip. When we told him that the "king shrimp" was over-cooked he responded "are you sure? We never had any clients with that issue, it is most likely your taste", when in fact we saw that the table nearby was having the same issue with the same plate. Honestly, taking into account the quality of restaurants and materials that Portugal has, do not waste your time on going to these "niche" sort of restaurants -especially this one-. No entanto, havia outro gerente (um homem) que era muito pretensioso e rude, pressionando-nos até mesmo para deixar uma gorjeta. Quando lhe dissemos que o "camarão rei" estava cozido demais ele respondeu "tem certeza? Nunca tivemos clientes com esse problema, provavelmente é o seu gosto", quando na verdade vimos que a mesa próxima estava tendo o mesmo problema com a mesma placa.   This is the second time I have been to Flow and once again it was a wonderful experience. The tuna and white fish ceviches were outstanding and the mains (steak and fish) were equally delicious. The service was on the ball - the best I have experienced in Portugal. Honestly, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Portugal. Highly recommended.   This restaurant is divine, I would highly recommend. The food was delicious (with many vegetarian options) and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We both had risotto and it was delicious. We then had a cocktail at the bar which was beautifully made and very tasty. A must visit if your in Porto.   Pleasant environment but average food in general. Still worth 4/5. We had several dishes to share and the range of taste was quite wide.   It’s a lovely restaurant with a nice ambience however I didn’t get good vibe from people working there (waitresses and waiters). The food looks incredible but I don’t think it’s that good-something is off in every dish i.e. sea bass comes with the asparagus risotto and both should be really served separately as together there is too much taste. Overall the price to quality rate is not that good. We spent 100eur for two persons (drinks, appetizers and mains-no desert).   Our friends and I went there last night to celebrate a birthday and we were so disappointed to find out that they booked us later than what we called in for. The lady in the reception was unapologetic and rude. And when we finally sat down, the waiter was condescending towards us. Food-wise it wasn’t that excellent but i can say that the ambiance is actually good. So overall, not really a nice experience for a restaurant rated so highly. Seems like they're going for a Michelin star. Great ambiance, great service, great food. Would absolutely recommend. We're lucky we got a table without rezzos, but it was a Monday night at 730.   Flow had a New York style restaurant feel, bustling with high ceilings and dim lighting. Very unlike other places I went to in Porto. The vegetables were fresh and the Octopus was delicious. They make fresh bread, as well. Nice staff, especially if you sit at the bar.   *the only thing separating our rating from 3 to 4 was value for money* We were excited to try this restaurant that had so many good reviews, the entrees were the best part of the meal, we ordered the foie gras and the croquets and loved both. Plating was beautiful and fun. For main we ordered black pork and entrecôte- both proteins were overcooked. I requested medium rare and received it more than medium and the pork overdone too. We did enjoy the meal - although our priciest dinner in portugal and not the best. 80€ with a bottle of wine but no dessert. The service was great- no complaints.   Great food for a reasonable price ! We went for my wife’s birthday and had oven baked Camembert to start. It was baked on top of a crusty bread and came with Parma ham, mushrooms and salad.   Restaurant has nice decor and good service. Very clean and it’s sort of silver service type. We ordered tiger prawn linguine, grilled cod fish and entrecôte. Beef was not bad and the large tiger prawn was fresh and crunchy. Cod fish, which apparently was salted for 3 days, was too salty to our taste. We didn’t like it.   A really enjoyable experience, we were well looked after, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere relaxing and chic. We started with the smoked cod carpaccio which was elegant and fresh. After that I would recommend the duck thigh, it was the best I have had, crisp skin yet moist and tender meat with huge flavour. The tangerine ice cream was fun. My only criticism: I wish the wine list had some more description as we were still getting to know the local terms. The waiter just recommended the most expensive glasses on the menu, which were nice but nothing like he described. My advice would be to do some quick googling before you order your wine if you are not familiar with the 'quintas'. Otherwise bravo! PS. If you are going on a weekend book ahead!
