  Very bad experience for tourists I had ordered meat and they brought me fish so I thought I had made a mistake ordering (as the menu are in Portuguese). They saw me eating the food so said nothing, no one came to me to at least to tell me they had made a mistake.   Classic tourist trap!! 1. They offer you some olives and a deep fried tapa as they usually do in Porto before ordering dinner. Turned out they charged us 5€!! When we did not even order it. 2. Francesinha was good, however we ordered deep friend cod and it was dry, didn't feel fresh due to being way too fried. So, I don't recommend trying Braga's Cod at all. In the end, we ended up paying 25€/pp for a meal not worth more than 18€/pp Staff was alright, spoke Spanish but nothing special. (Traduzido pelo Google) Armadilha turística clássica!! 1.   We had a really bad experience here. I had booked a table per telephone. When we arrived there, there was no booked table. We were lucky still 2 tables were free. Then, 1 of us 4 was stuck in traffic and couldn‘t make it in time. We decided to wait to order the main and enjoyed the little starters first. The server didn’t like the answer. After 15 minutes, the servers got stressed out and rudely wanted to remove the 4th place. We explained the 4th person was late due to traffic (friday night in Porto is crazy). 5 minutes later they asked again, by then, my cousin was looking for a parking space and having trouble with it as there were so many cars. Again 5 minutes later, they wanted us to call my cousin. We decided to go as they clearly showed they don’t value the customers they wanted us gone. Not the place to go if looking for Piri-Piri though, if you're thinking of Nando's style Piri-Piri that is - closest you can get here is their traditional 'Frango' with some chilli oil on the side, which is what we had and was very good.   We ordered the grilled chicken and the pork feet stew on their daily menu, and both of them tasted phenomenal. The chicken is very juicy and tender and their rice was very delicious. I highly recommend adding their chili oil to the food! On top of that, the waiters were very nice, and the price of the food was surprisingly affordable. We will for sure visit this restaurant again. On 2 laminated signs, which means they're meant to be there permanently and the Multibanco is not broken, they just don't want to offer the service (probably to avoid taxes??). It's 2023...   This was my favorite place by far to eat in all of Porto. And I would come back again if I'm ever back in Porto!! It was so good we came here two days in a row! (We were only in Porto for 3 days so this is saying a lot) It gets crowded but the wait isn't horrible (we waited for 2 hours at another restaurant the night before and it was excruciating). I think we waited maybe 15 or 20 minutes? They're cash only though, but there are ATMs within a 5 min walk so it's not a big problem for us. I just ran quickly while we waited in line. The first night they brought us some croquettes and olives, but none the second night. Not sure how they decide that. But we definitely ordered too much food the second night so it wasn't a big deal. We ordered the sea bass and the chicken both nights. And oh my goodness it is seriously the best chicken I have ever eaten my whole life. I can never look at a chicken the same anymore. You have to get their home made hot sauce. It is absolutely delicious. I inhaled the chicken. The second night we went on a Saturday night and they had the tripe. It was so flavorful!! We ordered extra the second night so we can have left over the second morning for breakfast before our early flight and it tasted just as good. RUN DONT WALK!! ITS SO GOOD!!   Good for authentic Portuguese dishes. The salmon was brilliant! it was super tender and melted in your mouth. On the other hand, the octopus was alright, just lacked flavour.   The Frenchy customers and MTV videos of the 80s were pleasant. The portuguese barbecue olive chicken was divine, tasty and in a copious plate. Really exceptional. The barbecued chicken, however, had a sardine taste, probably because on the same grill. But the cod fish, or the bass, with boiled potatoes, carrots and cabbage was soiled with some kind of pee sauce, spoiling the whole dish. It was astonishly "dégeulasse". I could not believe it, because cod and potatoes are difficult to mess up. So, curious, i tried a separate boiled potatoe. Potato by itself was okay but a few drops of that "sauce" made the potatoe unedible! The fries were too small a quantity and looked from an old frozen batch. Not tasty. It was expensive, compared to other restaurants. The waiter was pushy, unpleasant, to the point that i felt intimidated and wanted to leave fast. Very unpleasant experience. A batata por si só estava boa, mas algumas gotas daquele "molho" tornavam a batata intragável! As batatas fritas eram em quantidade muito pequena e pareciam ser de um antigo lote congelado.   Clearly a tourist trap. We asked whether they spoke Spanish since our Portuguese is less fluent. They spoke perfect Spanish, so we asked for a mixed grill that had no pork in it. Then we received grilled chicken, spare ribs and chouricou. I asked whether that was pork and the waiter took the plate with him again. The fish we ordered had arrived meanwhile so just one of us had something to eat. Fish was clearly not fresh since it had been grilled until dry to hide the fishy smell that still came through. We didn’t commit to eating any of the fish. The owner of the restaurant was showing his anger about the returning pork mix to his waiter in a manner that implies he didn’t respect us as his guests as well as his employee. He then aggressively shuffled the tables next to us made a show for the table next to ours because they opened a wine bootle and struck his behind closer to one of us. Ugly experience.   This place was recommended to us. We decided to give it a try for lunch. Due to the lunch rush, we had to wait a little but not long.   Would have been five stars since food was good but beware of Portuguese restaurant practice. They sit you down and immediately serve you with savory dumplings with bread and olive. What they don’t tell you is they will charge you 4€ for the dumplings (compared to 7.50€ for a main course plate of chicken and rice that’s a lot!). I was caught off guard so my initial review was really low rating. Mind you, I would have happily paid more for the food. Or you can charge me a “service” fee.   I was just there with 3 of my friends. 1- On their menu there is an english section and we had a few questions about it, but there was no waiter who understands english. One waiter could speak a bit of french, which one ok for us as we do speak french. He was so sarcastic and annoyed that he had to explain a few things to us. 2- as soon as we sat at the table, the waiter brought us bread, olives and some finger food. Then at the end they charged us for them!!! We thought they were offered, as we haven’t ordered them!! But the waiter said rudely “nothing is for free” 3- we also got charged for a few other items that we haven’t ordered, and when we complained about it, the waiter aggressively behaved!! 4- as for the food, the grilled chicken was good, the breaded steak was a no go.   This place is definitely my favourite in whole Portugal. This is the place where I had the best food during my 5 months of studying in Portugal. I have been living in Lisbon and their food is nowhere near close to what they serve here. Let it be picanha or francesinha. You get along with English too, but be prepared to only be able to pay in cash (maybe with Portuguese card too, I can't recall it). The portions are very decent and the taste is amazing.   Very impressed…. My friend and I walked to another restaurant and we passed by this place. We saw it was almost full and the people eating-in were locals so we decided to change our plans and give it a try and we had no regrets about it!! By this, I mean #1: a friendly host that is attentive but lets you enjoy your meal. #2: An absolutely fantastic Vinho da Casa (especially the Vinho Verde). #3: the soups are a fantastic/underrated introduction to the meal. #4 the grilled foods (both salmon and pork) are cooked to be juicy, tender, yet charred and crispy.   This restaurant served some of the best food we had while staying in Porto. The meat was well seasoned and tender. I had the pork chops and it hit in every way possible. Some others with me tried the sausage which was prime, the chicken was no joke and let me tell you about these oven roasted ribs!!!! You have to get them. If you don't get anything else let it be the ribs. They take longer to prepare but they are well worth the wait. They also serve an appetizer that were these deep fried rice in a crispy outside breading and one with cheese inside.   Had spent a pleasant evening in Porto and fancied something quick to eat so popped in here with my partner. The restaurant was a hive of activity and full of both local and international clientele. A good sign was an off duty police officer enjoying a coffee at the bar. Shown quickly to a table and menus straight to hand. The list was in multiple languages, albeit with some strange translations! The food arrived in good time and was excellent, straightforward fare! The waiters were attentive and friendly, a credit to them considering how busy it was! The bill was very reasonable too and well worth every cent! Would happily eat there again if in Porto!   Excellent charcoal grilled seafood and chicken. The bream, sea bass, cod and horse mackerel were fantastic as were the mixed grilled veggies. The whole grilled chicken was devoured in minutes by the kids. The only thing we didn't like was the boiled octopus with green sauce that the locals adore but we didn't acquire a taste for - perhaps a coal grilled octopus would be worth adding to the menu. Then we found this nice place with good reviews and a meat menu that was just what we are looking for! He had the black pork “secrets” and I had the ribs, they were nearly the best here in the northern region of the country. It is not very cheap but it is not expensive, it is a good ratio. The toilets were clean, and the staff were super friendly, the owner was kind enough to thank us when we left.   I tend to eat spareribs multiple times per month. I would not recommend eating them here. They taste dry, and the sauce they provide in a plastic bottle does not make it any better. They will also serve bread and appetizers without asking, which is fine I guess, but increased the final bill by about 40%.   Straight-forward Portuguese bbq joint serving up national favourites at competitive prices. Can’t beat this place when looking for quick, authentic—and non-vegan dishes! Added the Piri Piri sauce and seasoned the chicken accordingly. Finished off our meal with the light and fluffy cheesecakes. Place is very clean.   Eating here makes you wonder what you’re doing wrong when you go into the other places. The food is good, the price was so low I felt guilty, and the service was just right. We had the barbecue chicken with rice and potatoes, a large bottle of sparkling water, 2 large glasses of red wine, bread and cover items and paid 15 euro. Didn’t leave hungry, and almost finished everything they brought. It’s a value for sure! Good to experience to see what it’s like to live locally. Give it a shot! This is a local restaurant in local style ran by locals and preferred by locals.. what you get in downtown porto can be fancier or more touristy.. this one is pure day to day grill food tradition.. wonderful taste.. fast service.. and super cheap!   This is a wonderful traditional Portuguese restaurant located in the restaurant district. Judging from the steady stream of local Porto people and the lineup, this place is very popular. We had the grilled Sardines and the Cod with roasted chick-peas. Both dishes were excellent and the waiter and the other staff were fantastic. The price and the wine was also excellent.   Churrasqueira Moura Lda - Good food and good services. This restuarant is speciatly on barbecue, and the barbecue smell brings the food to the next level. We ordered fish, chicken and octopus, and of course they are all barbecue dishes. We love both the barbecue fish and octopus which are so fresh and juicesy. However, the barbecue chicken was a little bit in small portion.... Ha ha ha, there were only two pieces of chicken so we cannot share to three of us. The restuarant is very clean and with bright light , not like those restuarant that you need to eat in the dark. Staff are very friendly. Will come again when we visit Porto again.   Genuinely unsure going in with a large group of English uncultured individuals (my family), but other than an unsure start, the staff were great. We left a biggish tip which they tried to return. The food is not expensive and really good quality if you're not expecting Michelin standard. Authentic and typical of local Portuguese meaty meal out (Pork ribs and the chicken very good). My wife claims the Moura steak is one of the best steaks she's had. Don't be scared that you might get ripped off if you're a tourist. The staff will look after you and with a bit of Google translate you'll get by!   We stumbled on this place as we were heading to our third restaurant attempt in the evening; no reservation no space in two other places. We decided to skip our third on the list and stepped into Churrasqueira Moura. The staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t decide so ended up choosing the mix grill plate so that we wouldn’t have to. It was flavourful, we asked for the spicy oil on the side. Very good deal for the amount of food we got. The potatoes and rice could have been warmer but it was fine. Loved the bits of pickled veggies mixed in the grill plate. The meats were chicken, steak, porkchop, sausage and ribs. Our waiter was very nice. We were happy.
