  Delicious food, friendly service. I’d recommend a reservation for dinner. We came right at 7pm when they opened and within 15-20 minutes they were full with a line out the door. We loved the potatoes with spicy sauce, the steak strips, the shrimp, and the shiitake mushrooms. The cod fritters were ok, but a bit oily for our liking. The waiter seemed to actually enjoy his work, chatting with customers etc. The food was amazing and the portions so big, we couldn't even finish them (even though we really wanted to!). On top, they have a great playlist and really good wine.   Even though i was slightly ( very) hung over going in there , we had a lovely meal , in an easy going, cool setting , with a brilliant waiter who had the best play list EVER!   I came to this place after a recommendation of a friend. She praised it a lot..but I was pretty disappointed. Service was nice and friendly but the food below average. I had Polvo a Lagareiro and the one served here certainly lacked garlic and olive oil, for me essential ingredients of this dish. The potatoes were okay, beans slightly overcooked. I had many Polvos in Porto already, this one certainly one of the worst. My friend had the steak and it didn't convince me either. The meat wasn't particularly tender. The dessert (Tiramisu) was not too sweet but also just average and nothing I would order again. Most annoying however was, when we realized that the prices on the menu die NOT include taxes, and another 13/23% had been added to the bill. When we mentioned it to the waitress she was certainly very embarrassed, it seemed we were not the first clients complaining about this. It's the first time EVER I have seen this practice in Portugal and I will certainly check with DECO if this is common practice. I figured only later there was a little note on the bottom of the menu, only in Portuguese (the rest of the menu is bi-lingual) Looking at the price again AFTER taxes, food was definitely not worth the money. I give two stars only because the service was nice and it's pretty inside. We left the restaurant with uncomfortable feelings.   In our one week visit to Porto I have to say this place by far was the worst experience of the trip. Right off the bat we were told very arrogantly "well this is a restaurant okay, so if you wanna drink something you have to eat too", when we said we just wanted some wine. I get it, I've been in restaurants where food consumption is mandatory but the waiter's attitude was terrible. After this, we were served some entries we didn't order. I noticed this is a common practice here so we didn't touch it. The guy said they had no drinks menu, so we didn't get to choose the wine we wanted to drink, we were just asked if red or white. When it was time to pay, of course the entries were there being charged. I had to clarify that I would not pay for something I didn't order nor touched. The reply was also quite arrogant. The shrimps we ordered were pretty tasty but sadly this doesn't do much for the experience of visiting this place. I've worked in the service industry for 10 years and not even in my worst days have I treated a costumer like the two guys working there did. Trabalho no setor de serviços há 10 anos e nem nos meus piores dias tratei um cliente como os dois caras que trabalhavam lá fizeram.

Does get a bit cold around sundown, and they don’t have blankets, so please pack a warm blanket or have layers on. Sangria was okay, nothing amazing. Starters came out pretty quick but main courses took forever to come out. Honestly, service wasn’t the greatest, we had to actually keep bugging the servers that our food isn’t here yet. And in fact, the last dish never actually arrived. We just asked them to exclude it and get the check, which came out very promptly.   Really lovely owners, nice wine selection but the cheese Plate was a bit to much for my tasted, we had a lovely evening. The Parataxe bravas were sooooo good! The tiramiu was to wet and didnt have enough cream, it was fine but I wouldnt order it again.   Went here because it looked cute, so happy we did! Had different 'starters' as dinner which where all delicious, together with a wonderfull glass of red port.   Wow! Totally unexpected but the best meal I had during a 2 months stay in Portugal. My husband is a chef, and he was in heaven. The octopus had a soft buttery texture (not at all rubbery), the steak was tender, and the tempura was perfectly crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. To add to that, the service was excellent and I could see the gentleman serving us was well within his means to give professional service even when there were many guests. O polvo tinha uma textura macia e amanteigada (nem um pouco borrachuda), o bife estava macio e a tempura estava perfeitamente crocante por fora, mas suculenta por dentro. Além disso, o serviço foi excelente e pude ver que o cavalheiro que nos servia estava ao seu alcance para prestar um serviço profissional, mesmo quando havia muitos convidados. Definitivamente recomendo
