  Solo traveler out for a (late night) meal. This place had a nice vibe and friendly staff. The menu looked fantastic, I had the mushroom linguine - absolutely wonderful. I rarely eat dessert, but tonight I opted for the chocolate torte and paired it with the port lbv - heaven!!! Highly recommend!   The immigrant workers are extremely humble and share stories of their journey. The portion size is half the typical amount whether a soup or small size pasta. One white manager was very rude, when we asked a replacement of a drink that was mainly water where the manager was having a hissy fit, but the other workers either were. Helpful or they just stare at you as Europeans do, the venue is fancy, but the price is expected.   The atmosphere and food is outstanding. We ordered the pizza for the table. The pizza was good (not the best but good) but the pasta dishes were so much better. The main issue that I had was with the Negroni we ordered. The ice was legit the size of the glass. 90% ice and 10% liquor, waste of money. The green wine on the other hand was fabulous. We had the Shrimp Risotto, Capri salad and a cheese pizza and everything was well beyond our expectations. The risotto especially was delicious.   €45 for 3 pizzas and still water. Basic cheese pizza and two pepperoni with "chillis". Flavour was decent enough but nothing special. You are paying for the ambience and a waiter who, introduces himself, asks how your day has been and then explains how to use the menu. Nothing bad here at all, but €45 (with tip) was a bit much.   We are Australians in Portugal, Porto with Italian background. We had an amazing dinner and friendly from service from Ana and all the other staff. There were 4 of us and ever meal was delicious and special in its own way. We didn’t have the specialty cheese wheel with truffle oil, although we enjoyed the presentation. But we were not disappointed with our pizza, carbonara, tagliatelle with seafood, and Garlic scampi. After having such a delicious meal we decided we would have to try the dessert, the tiramisu, was the best we have had (Italian background). We also had local red wine and sparkling wine. Our waiter Carlos was fluent in English, very attentive and discussed order details with us including splitting the T-bone into medium rare and medium well as we were sharing.   I went here last night for a meal with my wife. She had the prawn risotto and loved it. I ordered linguine bolognese and it arrived with a generous amount of cheese on the top. I don't like cheese and wasn't aware it would be on there. I asked for a replacement without cheese and with no hassle this was sorted speedily. The service was exemplary, the food was delicious.   We must have caught this place on an off night. We came in a bit late (10:00 PM - still 2 hours before closing), and there was only one other party in the restaurant at the time. Despite the low traffic, we watched 5 or 6 employees just stand around talking for 5-10 minutes after we sat down without coming to take our order. After ordering our drinks and entrees, we again got no attention for another 15 minutes. We had to wait this long just to get our cocktails, and our meals came out at the same time. The pizza and pastas we got were both pretty bland - not bad, but nothing special. To wrap up, when we asked for the check, a tablet was plunked down on the table with no explanation, and I was left to try to decipher the Portuguese instructions until it triggered an error and I had to call over for help. Didn't feel good paying our 50+ euros for a very below average meal. To make things even worse, during the very extended period we were waiting for our drinks, it appeared the staff was filming something for their social media.   I visited this restaurant with a group of friends. The interior was vey cozy and well decorated. I felt very good about the vibe of the place. The open kitchen always give me nice thoughts about a restaurant. Unfortunately, the waiters were very rude and always complaining about everything. We reserved a table for 7:30PM, so they basically were always rushing us because they had another book for 9PM. Despite the good taste of the pizza, it’s not worth the price because they are very small and we need to order 2 pizzas for each one. To conclude, it’s a good restaurant, expensive, but it’s good.   We were lucky to walking into this restaurant for dinner without a reservation. Service was friendly, fast and professional. We started with a charcuterie and (Italian) cheese board. It was huge and along with a desert turned out to be a dinner for us that night. Pizzeria and steakhouse seemed to be a somewhat strange combination to us, but steaks we saw on other tables looked good. In short, I would definitely come back to this restaurant again.   The food was OK. I was hungry, and it solved that problem. My tomato, mozzarella, and ham pizza was suspiciously lacking in tomato, and dispite having a thin crust, it was not at all crisp. The entrees were equally delicious and included the osso buco, and prawn and asparagus risotto. Both were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.   Staff were great, very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious. We shared the tbone and a pizza. Steak was cooked perfectly and had so much flavour! The pizza was delicious with a nice thin base, meaning it wasn't too heavy. All of this was sashed down with a bottle of red that was recommended by the waiter. I wish we'd have saved room for dessert as no doubt they too would have been delicious. A must go! If we were in Porto longer we would deffo return!   I stubbled upon Santo while walking home and looking for a place to eat for my last night in Patrol. This place didn't disappoint. The risotto mushroom arancini were delicious and so was the mushroom and truffle pizza. The pizza was cooked in a wood fire oven. My only disappointment was a slower than normal service from the waiting staff to get by check.   I’m surprised this place has a 4.6 average rating.. it was good, undoubtedly, but pretty average. Had an antipasto, two mains, drinks, and one dessert between the two of us. The mains and the dessert were quite good, the dessert was quite good, the antipasto was “meh” and the drinks were not very nice (the pear cinnamon sangria: Sickly sweet.. if you don’t want sweet then opt for something else).   Amazing aesthetic, beautiful restaurant! The menu was great, good veggie options. Great music too. I'd definitely recommend a cocktail, the barman was so professional.   Place looks really posh. We had just the launch menu which is reasonably priced but the dishes weren't super creative and the drinks are billed as an extra. Overall a good meal, I tried a Nero Linguini with Tuna which surprised me - salty and sea-flavoured to perfection.   Excelente place to go for a great meal. The appetizers where really good. The pizza is done in a wood oven and are marvelous. The names of the pizzas are of the saints in the last supper, the judas is unbelievable. The meat, I must say it's the best I ever had and the side dishes are ridiculously good. Great choice. This restaurant is outstanding!!! Steakhouse and pizzeria. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is wonderful. Great decor, atmosphere and team. Manuel is one of the owners and super friendly, his English was excellent and the service was exceptional. The first visit i had the Flank Steak and roasted potatoes. Perfectly prepared and served. Presentation was lovely. My wife had a wonderful creamed tomato soup and smoked salmon salad!!! We returned the following evening for the best pizza ever!!!   The Pizza and Steakhouse restaurant has been open two weeks (May 2019) and they're still finding their feet. They've some unusual food combinations. Steak with Pesto sauce and mushroom risotto as the side. All three components were excellent. Probably the first time I've seen them together. Decent wine menu, food and wine prices are reasonable, but some wallet busting choices if you're up for it. Large and well presented interior. Worth a try, I wish them the best.
