  We had an Easter Brunch that included vegan versions of traditional Portuguese dishes. It was so delicious and thoughtfully put together. The service was kind and attentive.   We had a delicious breakfast at this little cafe. The vegan Eggs Benedict and the ricotta, bacon and tomato on toast were particularly good. Full vegan menu with loads of options for smaller or main dishes. Lovely Coffees and fresh juices. We liked the food so much we even popped back in the afternoon and sampled a few of their large range of vegan pastry’s, chocolates and Pastel de nata’s. Very friendly and attentive staff.   Excepcional. Nós amamos isto. É a primeira vez que visitamos o Porto e, pela rua, o local chamou-nos a atenção e acertámos. A atenção é excelente desde o início. Receberam-nos com um sorriso e um ambiente calmo e agradável. Pedimos uma salada com abacate, frutas vermelhas...e é enorme!!! Acompanha perfeitamente este prato único: rico, bonito e satisfatório. Enquanto preparavam, nos deram de graça um delicioso croissant caseiro com dois molhos. Não quero me repetir, mas foi realmente ótimo.   The owner lady have been super super kind. I told her I am gluten intolerant the previous day and on Sunday day when I entered to the cafe she make me find gluten free pastel de nata!   Incredible vegan bakery and brunch spot in Porto. the pastry case is a sight to behold. From French to very local Portuguese styles, there are myriad surprises in this car of wonders. My favorite is the pistachio butter croissant. If there’s one in the case, GET IT. The napoleon is also incredible. Everything I’ve had is simply sublime. The menu is full of vegan brunch and breakfast treats. The eggs Benedict is absurdly delicious. I have no idea how she makes it, but it’s rich and brunchy. The yellow curry and various toasts are super good. The portions match the prices. It’s a good value IMHO. The owner is incredibly sweet. She is making a huge difference with her forward-looking menu and great pastries. She has created a very welcoming and hospitable environment for her guests.   Best vegan nata in Porto! We just had the MOST delicious brunch. Our (large) group tried a variety from the menu and everything was perfect. I tend towards savory brunch so my favorite is the Benedict with house-made "eggs" and rich hollandaise. However, I got to try the french toast, chocolate pancakes, curry, avocado toast and many of the pastries from the case and each bite was a delight. The portion sizes are SO generous and they even have house-made plant milk for their beverages. A Padoca also has an online market for takeaway of their larder items like cheeses and butters, grazing boards, breakfast baskets and more.   Just had a lentil, chickpea, banana, coconut milk and walnut curry that had the most wonderful balance of flavours and textures. The staff was also great and the price is not prohibitive.   Foi o primeiro pastel de nata que experimentei na vida. E o único. Porém, li a frase “melhor pastel de nata do país” e acreditei. Gostamos de experimentar lugares diferentes, mas tivemos que voltar nos outros dias que estivemos. O serviço foi muito bom e tudo o que tentamos foi espetacular. Os croissants, o big mac e, claro, o pastel de nata. Considero uma visita obrigatória no Porto. Você não pode desistir se já tentou tomar café da manhã lá. Eu gostaria que houvesse um lugar assim na minha cidade.

  The main word to my experience was overpriced. It doesn't serve to what they ask for the food. Toasts were greasy and pure carbohydrate and way too much fat. The food is not balanced. I am fine with paying when the quality justifies. Juice was a joke and way too expensive for what it is. Service was ok. Atmosphere as well.   Fui tomar café da manhã com café e um croissant recheado com pistache. Acabei por sair de lá com mais um croissant para levar ao meu companheiro de aventuras, o melhor bolo de creme vegano (e experimentei 3 no Porto) e alguns chocolates de pistache.   I stumbled upon this plant based restaurant while on a walk- I had just arrived in Porto the night before. I was in Spain for two weeks suffering with greasy, dead foods. I had the MOST healthy, nourishing meal here. I will likely go back each day until I leave. It was clean food, with great portions and is super healthy, yet rich and satisfying just how I like it!   Wow - one of the best vegan bowls I’ve ever had. And the lemon ginger mint drink was incredible. They also brought out delicious homemade bread with nut butter and jam.   The service was decent. We received some coconut vegan bread and raspberry jam that was to die for. However, we had to wait almost an hour for our eggs Benedict and shakshouka. The eggs Benedict was delicious and had great flavour. The replacement of the eggs was on par. The shakshouka was possibly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. It was bland, and had no flavour. There were no onions, tomatoes and limited amount of peppers. Instead they replaced these with cabbage and asparagus. Also the hummus was bland, crumbly and dry. Being coeliac it's hard to find a place where staff are coeliac savvy and I had breakfast there, the vegan scrambled eggs with sweet potato and it was wonderful. No cross contamination.   Best pastry/coffee shop we have been to so far. Inside is cozy, staff are super nice. The pastries are out of this world and also the breads. The best pastel de nata we’ve had, and the torta de Laranja was mind blowing, a must Have, our favorite. The cherry on top is that everything is vegan. The breakfast pancakes are incredible (One portion is enough to share). Also what I loved is that nothing was overly sweet compared to anywhere else.   Sooo impressed by A Padoca. We were told by our server that the place kinda recently switched to being all vegan, which we were super psyched about (: Their eggs benedict is //insane//, I've never had better vegan eggs in my life. I don't understand how they do it, and the pancakes I got were perfect. Lightly sweet (despite how they look) and the coconut whipped cream was also the best I've ever had. All the produce was high-quality. While we were waiting for our orders, our server brought us some of their house baked bread as a gift (she was incredibly kind all-around), with a berry jam and a house-made butter/cream spread that I don't think I would ever have enough of. It was light, creamy, and cool with a perfect blend of sweet-savory, and the bread was incredibly soft. On our beach day in Porto, we came back to A Padoca in the morning to get some of their stuffed breads, to pack as lunch for later that day, and some of their vegan natas to have for breakfast while we were heading out. I highly recommend this plan. We got the calzone and the spinach-ricotta (the vegan ricotta is incredible, and made in-house), they packed perfectly and were the perfect beach lunch, and the vegan natas... they really are the best. We stayed in Porto for five days, eating out for every meal, and this is the only restaurant we went to more than once. A favorite for sure, and we will go here again any time we are in Porto.   love this place! we were staying just down the road and because we arrived at 7am and couldn't check in, the receptionist said we should try there for good coffee and great homemade pastries. wow, we couldn't have been more pleased! firstly, the service was friendly and helpful. secondly, the price was a very pleasant surprise after coming from Madrid. we had 3 coffees, 2 ham,cheese and some kind of tomato spread sandwiches (the bread is a bit like a heavy brioche), 1 Portuguese tart (pastel de nata) AND 1 more ham and cheese thing. the cost was €6,50!!!   The place is nice and sunny, not too crowded. The brunch option at 10€ puts to shame all-you-can-eats! If you're a healthy eater, one is enough for 2! Lol Kidding aside, the variety was great, breads and cakes are varied, very nice and healthy, the mango juice was like puree, no water added. My mother noticed the cheese was real traditional flamengo, not that industrial one normal gets. Beautiful glass cafe saucers and cups.
