  What can I say... this is a restaurant where they've simply given up...or given into the hype. Anyone who reads my reviews of other restaurants knows I appreciate good food over other factors such as service. But mediocre food and service? Forget about it... the waiter was arrogant and completely detracted from the entire experience with what I can only describe as a wikipedia-level knowledge of wine and food. That's ok...I don't expect a waiter to be an expert until they become judgey, disinterested, and rude. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives at this restaurant. The bad service and mediocre food are simply not worth the price.   Found this spot by accident on a very rainy evening during our visit in Porto. Staff were so welcoming and attentive. Received a great wine recommendation and the goat dish to share was delicious.   Fantastic restaurant. They went above and beyond. Due to a malfunction in the booking system, I arrived when the kitchen was closed. But they still managed to accomodate me, and on New Years eve, no less. They could have easily and reasonably turned me away, but found a way to fit me in. On top of that, the food was 10 out of 10.   On our Portugal trip in September 2023, we decided to stop by this restaurant to have dinner. We are a party of 8 so we were fortunate enough that they accommodated us since I believe reservations are required ahead of time because it's a busy restaurant. Anyhow, we were so pleased with the food that after leaving all we can think about for days, weeks and months is how amazing the steak was! We ordered the steak for two which came with fries and salad. The presentation was beautiful and to our surprise, it was the best steak we have ever eaten in years! It's going to be very hard to find something that would compare to how good this steak tasted. We all agreed it was cooked perfectly, it was seasoned perfectly and it tasted phenomenal! We saw an interesting salad that others in the restaurant ordered so decided to give it a try as well. Another hit! The salad was sooooo good too! So sorry, I don't remember the name but hopefully by the photos the restaurant staff will know what the items are. If we ever come back to Porto, we will definitely visit this restaurant again. 10/10 for us!   The food is excellent. We enjoyed the salad mista (enough for two) and the wild boar and the pheasant as mains. The wine list is good and priced well, not overly expensive. The service was outstanding. We dined inside. It is a very nice space but too warm and stuffy on an evening when outside it was 18°c. An open window or A/C would fix this.   We were 8 minutes early and were not allowed to enter the restaurant. Had to wait outside in pouring rain and were not even allowed to stand in the entrance area. The staff meanwhile sat inside and passed the time on Instagram. We stood outside completely soaked and then decided not to make the reservation. Very sorry that we were not able to enjoy the food.   We wanted to treat ourselves with some fine dining and we came across this place to give a try. Actually it did not start so well but the desert was tremendously delicious if you are into goat ice cream. 1- My dish was steak and it came rare and cold while I have ordered medium 2- We had to send back my dish to kitchen to be cooked more and it was still rare anyways 3- Carpaccio and starters were good but BUT, we have paid for each to get a starter platter but we get only 4 olives for 4 people. If you offer it in the menu at least deliver it. 4-Overall expensive and I think this restaurant is not even fall under fine dining category 👎🏻 5-Finally I have tried the agave cake with goat cheese ice cream and loved it Also wines are not expensive and they don’t offer so much different tastes.   we just drank a bottle of wine there but the staff and the owner were really unfriendly and even though there were free seats besides the fireplaces, they didn't let us change tables even when the other tables (half of the outside area) were empty the whole night. we even saw a costumer change seats twice but we were not allowed to. the only postitive thing is the location. Boar loin (lombo de javali panado) was mediocre and the shoestring potatoes with it were cold and inedible. Portugal generally has really good potatoes. These were the worst I ever had. The chocolate souffle with orange sauce desert was OK. Nothing special. Avoid this restaurant unless you know first hand which dishes are good.   The rudest service we experienced during our entire trip. They refused to give us tap water despite us asking multiple times and obviously understanding. The intent was to charge us for bottled water (maybe because they thought we didn't order enough?). The server then gave tap water to a table next to us. After we pointed out what they did our initial server motioned that she refuses to come to our table. Overall the attitude of the staff ruined our experience here even though the food was ok. Portions are generous and service is ok. The right place to have a not too expensive romantic dinner or tinder date (with a sophisticated counterpart).   We came with young children and evening during a school break week, no reservation but the staff calmly and efficiently found a table for us. Staff was polite and kind and spoke our languages (French and English). Decor is warm and tasteful. Food was really good (blood sausage, cecina, venison carpaccio, seabass, veal steak and passion fruit sorbet), and the prices fair for where we come from. The staff was really patient with us and the children.   Somewhat good tuna salad but with tasteless olives. Main course were too bad for the place's price tag: codfish chewy and just bad, and an antricote steak chopped to pieces which was too salty.   One word - avoid. Unfortunately the worst fish I tasted in Portugal (I travelled from the south up to the north). I explained to the waiter that my fish tasted bad and nothing was done about it. Instead I was asked if I would like a dessert (!) I should add there was no language barrier. For those of us from the UK this place is akin to a Cafe Rouge...   The service was absolutely appalling. I could have forgiven the constant failure to top up the wine and water, and the unfriendly response to my request for recommendations on the menu, but the incident with dessert was frankly disgusting. I ordered the chocolate pie but when it arrived realised it was more of a cheesecake than a pie so asked the waitress if I could order another of the dessert my friend had. She immediately took away my dessert which I had eaten two forkfuls of and a few minutes later returned with the other dessert. At the end of the meal the first dessert appeared on the bill which would have been completely understandable had she left it for me or my friend to eat. When I questioned this she went to debate with her manager and then came back to the table, slammed down the same bill and a takeaway container with no explanation. On opening it I found a slice of the chocolate pie which was much more eaten than the slice she had taken from the table about 40 minutes before - either someone else’s leftovers or my slice which had been sitting in the waste section of the kitchen for that time and had been tucked into by kitchen staff. Absolutely disgusting, really aggressive, and needlessly ruined what could have been a lovely enjoyable meal! (Traduzido pelo Google) O serviço foi absolutamente terrível. They dont speak english they forgot one of our mains and the meat was not cooked according to our request. Even though the place was proposed from friends, the food was surprisingly bad. Oily and tasteless. To top our experience was the bad smell just before we leave which the restaurant responsible told us its due to an issue with the toilet beacuse the building is old.   Didn't knew where to eat, at found ourselves wandering up and down the street. Eventually, we just found a random place and crossed our fingers, that the food was decent despite of being located in the tourist area. The prices in the menu card are what to expect the location taken into consideration. All our disbelief was perished as the dishes came rolling in. The cuisine is however not Portuguese, but European - but tasty nonetheless. The food proved to be very well executed and tasty.
