  The restaurant is a traditional one offering local dishes at a friendly price. Tables were set quite close to each other and there wasn’t lots of space. We ordered one main each. The grill squid was juicy and delicious but the seafood rice was a bit too salty. The staff worked so efficiently and they were so nice and friendly.   As previously mentioned as far as I know this is a restaurant only but the food is great. Although you won't find "fancy food" here, the quality is and authenticity is great. All dishes are traditional Portuguese and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff are lovely and the value for money is great. I came here on my first night when I was tired from travelling to the city and the service was so quick and exactly what I needed.   Not sure why Google sees this place as a hotel. It's a restaurant, more like a canteen that is definitely lacking the usual Portuguese hospitality and friendly attitude. The food is average and not looking very appetising. Our octopus was chewy. They're giving you a little amuse bouche at the very beginning which is nice, but be aware - it'll be added to the bill / check. Will we be back? We had 5 people, waited only 15-20 min for a table during a very busy time and were served beer/wine/water while we waited. We were pleasantly surprised by our total bill. Nice options for kids and picky eaters and also a very good Brazilian cuisine icon: Picanha! The prices are very reasonable and the quantity is more than we can eat. The seafood rice was very tasty but salty and the cow tripe (strong taste) with rice and beans had a nicely seasoned sauce. We returned a couple of day later to try the octopus and squid. Caution: they will offer smalls plates of bread, etc. without asking. If you don’t want them, let them know. They’re not free.   After visiting Livraria Lello (and getting drenched on the way), it was lunchtime. My wife did a Google Maps search and settled on this place because she wanted to eat authentic Portuguese food. She ordered the Seafood Rice for herself and Chicken Rice for our 6 year old daughter. I had the Grilled Pork Chops. All our dishes were delicious. We especially liked the potatoes. Everything was priced well. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick and affordable place to eat.   If you like delicious and flavoursome home cooked Portugese food, Flor De Braganca is the place to go to. Place filled up quickly during lunch service and most of the patrons are locals which is a good sign. Cozido (big plate of stewed meat with vegetables and rice) seems to be popular choice amongst the locals. We had the potato and kale soup, salted cod croquettes, grilled pork chops and grilled salmon. All dishes are super tasty and you can tell the chefs know their food as they pair each protein with different side dishes. Menu comes in different languages and also depicted with pictures which is really useful. Did I mention the house wines are only 6€ for 1litre :) I highly recommend giving this place a go if you happen to be in Porto.   AMAZING!! Best octopus we had in Portugal. So tender and fatty, amazing quality. Not only was the octopus texture amazing but the taste was the largest savouryness and garlic taste.   Food was okay but not very tasty. Although the fish soup was very good, the rest of the meal was not. We got the octopus and the braised Lamb, both tasted very bland, disappointing. Staff was very welcoming and nice and food was served fast. We waited for 20 mins to be seated due to the outside line up. I think this restaurant is affordable and always has a line up which attracts and intrigues tourists but that's it really. I would not recommend if you're looking for a great tasty meal however it's good if price is a factor and you're not too picky with the quality of your food.   A gem of a restaurant in a touristy area. Incredible value! The fresh orange juice was some of the best I’ve ever had. Despite the long queue, the staff ensured we were seated as soon as possible.   I went there for much around noon and it was just packed with people. So I needed to wait for 30 mins to be seated. It seemed this place is also locals' favorite. I couldn't help but want to try another cod dish after the previous two cod meals failed me in lisbon. Surprisingly, the cod fish was well-fried and crispy. It was served hot with fried potatoes, onions with sauce. The cod was not too salty and it went well with the potatoes and onions. The onion was sweet while the sauce gave sour taste.   This restaurant is so overrated, it does not deserve 4.6/5. The waiters are very kind but the food was tasteless , the meat was so tough and it was not really good quality; the food arrived in 2 seconds , do not understand how it’s possible to prepare it that quickly. They bring appetizers and bread at the beginning and they charge you for it.   TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! If you want to eat something worth your money, please GO ELSEWHERE! I've never paid so much in a food and eaten so badly in my whole life. We ordered the "sardinhas assadas" (grilled sardines) and the polvo (octopus) a la grareiro. The grilled sardines were very bitter, the potatoes were raw and the polvo, which was one of the most expensive options there, had absolutelly nothing to do with the traditional Portuguese polvo a lagrareiro food. The vegetables seemed like they were just thrown on the dish, there was no sauce, no seasoning, nothing! And we paid 16 freaking Euros for that thing! The waiters were gentle, however the actual managers were very rude and didn't seem to care about the awful experience we had. Two words: NEVER AGAIN! —— UPDATED The owners replied that I ate all the food, but I didn’t. I ate what I COULD eat, among those pile of awful food that was served.   I had the turkey dish, the meat was nicely cooked and the fries were great, sadly there was very little sauce and it lacked flavour being very watery. The essential part of the sauce – the mushrooms tasted like they are canned. It's a shame, had the sauce been good I'd have given this place a 5 star but I'll round up to a 4. When I see a review talking good about the turkey dish I'll be back to try again.   I really do not know how this tiny, loud, uncomfortable restaurant got such high ratings. Octopus was bland, sardines were ok (which don’t require much culinary skill) , bread was good, dip and croquet they put on the table were mediocre. Veg soup ok but nothing to write home about. Service was greatly lacking but polite. Tables are small, crammed in like sardines and loud. There is no ambiance to speak of, and no Portuguese customers either. Thoroughly under par.   Cozy place looks authentic. We had the seafood rice and the octopus. They were good, although the seafood rice perhaps did not meet my expectations- I will probably offend Portuguese people but I expected it to be more like Paella and it didn’t taste as good as a Paella. It was still ok. The olives were really good. The waiters were very nice and we liked the atmosphere. Would recommend for some home made food.   What an amazing restaurant! I had dinner here twice on my trip to Porto, welcomed by the extremely friendly staff twice (they recognised me the second time). When I wasn't sure what wine I wanted they brought me some to taste first. I had the seafod and rice the first time and the second time the grilled squid. Both of them were amazing and enjoyed very much. My favorite was the seafood rice. The food is super affordable (which is great for me as a student) and the place was filled with locals which is always a good sign.   Being my last stop in Portugal, I enjoyed the Portuguese cuisine one more time. The portions are big, tasty and the prices are not bad at all. Saying that, I was surprised that the place has paper menu (that is not that common in Portugal with all those QR codes everywhere) and that the menu is also in English, Spanish, French and German languages. And there are pictures of the meals in the menu so it's easy to order. I strongly recommend to try alheira at the place. It was different as the one I had a chance to try before, but still great.   AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The food here is terrible (truly), expensive for what it is, and the staff are incredibly rude (I've never met more rude staff in my life). They served me something that was not what I ordered, and when I refused to eat it, they became very angry rather than trying to fix it. Finally I just paid and left, it's not worth dealing with such people. There are plenty of other places in Porto with much nicer staff and much better food.   Don't fall for the octopus! It looks nice, but it is pretty much a dish with onion and bell pepper, with minimal actual octopus in it. An unfortunate surprise, considering the price. Someone in a table nearby also had the octopus and it looked like a whole different dish, but with little meat as well.   I love these people. One of my favourite spots for francesinha in Porto. Quick service, friendly, clean. Looks like they renovated a bit since I was last here 4 years ago, but still amazing!   Had dinner at this lovely place last night. We were excellently greeted while we took our seats. The lady serving us was incredibly friendly and brought out a few fish pastries as well. Our food (bacalhao a Braga & prego em Prato) was fantastic and tasted home cooked. We finished the night with am espresso and the lady serving brought us a digestive shot. The prices were great as well!! Overall this place had a fantastic vibe and feel to it. We would highly recommend it for an authentic Portuguese meal experience.   As a woman traveling alone, I was very comfortable and happy at this little authentic restaurant. Adelaide and her team make you feel you fit right in. Food was good, prices excellent and it is the real deal. Decided since I would never hit every Porto restaurant to just go here each night and have something different. After trying to find the perfect restaurant in Lisbon each night, this decision was one of the best I made that trip!   OMG YOU GOT TO EAT HERE our Last meal in Porto and The BEST after 20 days of eating and exploring . walked by yesterday and this small alley way restaurant had a line up.   Food is very nice and well priced. Server did however get our order wrong and refuse to aknowledge his mistake (we did not order a francesinha!!)   I was recommended this place by the Porto Walkers guides. They eat here themselves and many locals too. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The husband and wife who run this place are like parents and you feel like you are eating in a Porto home. So good I came here twice. Save room for dessert.
