  Overall my wife and I had a pleasant experience here. The staff were very pleasant and the food served was of good standard. The only negative being that it was a bit pricey but this is common with all the restaurants in the Marina area.   Very nice experience. We don’t like being near smokers so they sat us at the very opening to the inside area so we could people watch. My wife had the tuna carpaccio and the salmon which were done with perfection. Asked for a steak but done in a Portuguese manner so they did it off menu with a thin slice of ham and an egg on top.   We were on the hunt for a good pasta on the marina and Il Lamparo delivered. The service was excellent, and all waiters were very attentive. There is an option of a €3.50PP cover charge which comes with olives, breads, and butter, which was worth having. Just let the waiters know if you do not want this. We had calamari fritti and garlic bread to start, which came out in good time and a great option to share. Once these were finished, the waiters requested our mains come out. Our 2 pasta dishes were well presented, a great portion size, and absolutely delicious. They also came with a pot of parmesan cheese. I can definitely recommend the Tagliatelle with Funghi and Gorgonzola! Overall, we had a great meal and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a nice italien on the marina front.   Really lovely restaurant and very accommodating to kids. The staff were very friendly and took our order quickly. Drinks and food arrived at a good pace and food was really tasty. Likely a little bit higher priced compared to some of the other Italian restaurants in the marina but the excellent service is what sets it apart.   Visited with Hen Party of 8, and from the moment we got there the staff were tentative and excellent service. The food was some of the best seafood I have had in a while with the garlic prawns to the grilled sea bass. The only complaint was we were so full after the two courses we had to go home.   Service was out of this world. Each person who serviced us did it with a smile. They seem to really enjoy their jobs which helps create the friendly happy atmosphere. Every time a staff member walked by they spoke to our daughter who was in her pram. The carbonara was delicious and my partner loved the penne pesto scallops.   We booked our pre-wedding get together drinks for 40 people. Lovely venue on the marina and nice seating area. However, the bar was 50% unoccupied and the manager become obsessed with forcing us into an area and making it overcrowded. We were continuously moaned at for standing up and taking photos. Bar staff were great, just a couple of manager jobsworths throwing their weight around. Happy to take the 600 Euro spend. Wouldn’t recommend, if you are more than 4 people.   A great well rounded experience with a very tasty meal. The dishes we ordered were of great quality with a reasonable price.   Lamparo is single-handedly the best restaurant I have visited in the Algarve. The service was impeccable, the staff were very amicable, and the food was delicious. You are warmly welcomed with big smiles, and every staff member is friendly and polite. I want to give a special mention to Pedro, Fred and Anud; however, I feel all of them deserve the highest appraisal. The location is perfect, sitting right on the edge of the Vilamoura marina with indoor and outdoor seating and offering excellent, well-priced food (my personal favourite is the Scallop risotto). I have been twice and will definitely return again before I leave Portugal. A huge thank you and congratulations to the Lamparo team!   Wonderful Italian spot along the marina; probably one of the biggest restaurants and certainly one of the busiest! Great range of dishes and each pasta dish comes with a healthy serving--recommend the carbonara, tagliolini al nero, and calamari. The restaurant is always pretty busy in the evenings and fills up fast--get there before 7pm (during busy summer) if you don't have a reservation to avoid disappointment!   I think the food for me was okay - to average maybe that we may have got the wrong food but it just wasn’t flavoursome in-fact it was very bland. The starters were very nice that we had which included scallops and my partner had a vegetarian starter (cannot remember the name) that she liked.   We went there twice, although we were much happier the first time. In June, the staff was amazing and the food was absolutely brilliant. We loved every single second of our experience. 10/10 However, when we went in July they didn't want to give us a table because we were Portuguese. They did this to other Portuguese couples. We were told we had to wait 45min because we didn't have a reservation and then we overheard the staff saying they could fit an English couple, with no reservation, just next to us, who arrived later. Disseram-nos que tínhamos que esperar 45 minutos porque não tínhamos reserva e então ouvimos o pessoal dizendo que caberia um casal inglês, sem reserva, ao nosso lado, que chegou mais tarde. Claro que ficamos e acabamos conseguindo uma mesa, porque eles perceberam que ouvimos tudo e se sentiram muito desconfortáveis ​​para nos mandar embora depois disso. A comida era um sólido 9/10, mas estou diminuindo minha avaliação por causa da atitude deles.

  Fantastic Restaurant our favourite in Vilamoura. We have been going for 18 years and never disappointed. We just home and ate four out of our seven days there.   Best meal that we had as a family whilst in Vilamoura for three reasons. Firstly, the quality of the food is fantastic, especially the fillet steak. Secondly, the staff are excellent and provide good quality service. And lastly, we went here on two occasions and found it fantastic both times. We would also like to mention the hard working young woman, who works outside of the restaurant (between the outside seating area and inside seating area), who works during the morning and also at night cleaning and setting up.   Fantastic service and superb food Il Lamparo is one of the best restaurants we have come across in Vilamoura. You obviously pay for the difference in quality and service but come away feeling it was money well spent. The whole night was an effortless joy - including the man who introduced us to the restaurant and two hours later remembered us and thanked us for agreeing to eat there. Our waiter who stayed with us throughout was so well mannered and polite without being pushy.  We ordered three mains and later had three desserts, two rounds of alcoholic drinks and a bottle of water. It came to 90 euros excluding tip. The food was we found of the highest quality both the two types of linguine and the pizza that we ordered. The pizza deserves mention as it was significantly better than that that we ate elsewhere. The desserts were of the highest standard and generously portioned. Though considerably more expensive than we are accustomed to spending it was money well spent.
