  3rd visit, first time with my partner. I had prawn puri, partner has lamb shish starters both delicious. We both had chicken balti for mains beautiful thoroughly enjoyed. Complimentary drink with the bill, whatever you wanted not just the usual. We had a beer and a coke also and the bill was less than €60 and even better no Bombay revenge the next day.   Our son and daughter in law had been here 3days earlier, and said that we must visit this restaurant, while we are in Vilourmoura. The food was exceptional, the best Indianfood weve ever had.The staff were very efficient ,especially one young man ,who seemed to look after us all night. Thank goodness we booked the table for 7.30pm, because by 8pm ,they were having to turn groups of people away. So that proves it must be such a fantastic restaurant. We are coming back ,with son and daughter in law in May, so no doubt hopefully will visit the restaurant again.   Never thought I'd find one of the best Indian resturants, in Portugal! Relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Service was fantastic, was made to feel very much at home by the guys hosting. Between 4 of us, 4 different dishes and all so beautifully balanced, meat was so tender. Sublime is an understatement. If this was a restaurant in the UK, it would be solidly booked for 2+ years. We had the popadoms and onion bhajis to start and for mains we had lamb pasander, lamb madras, chicken tikka masala, chicken madras and tandoori mixed grill.   We were recommended this restaurant by a Portuguese couple who said it was the nicest Indian restaurant in the area. We ate here tonight and if I could give 10 out of 5 stars I would!!   My friends and I have eaten here on multiple occasions. The food is always amazing, the Chicken Balti, Tikka and Korma are phenomenal, the chicken is super tender and ingredients are so fresh you can really taste the difference, flavours just hit you with every bite. The service is always great and the staff are friendly and attentive. I was eating here just the evening before writing this review, and I'm already excited and eager for our next visit.   Food was really good and staff very friendly and attentive. You’re slightly back (2min walk) from the marina here so you don’t get the buzz of the marina. But don’t let that put you off. The only reason they lose a star is for the poppadom pricing. Says 1.50 on menu but you can only seem to buy 5 in a portion…so €7.50 for 5 poppadoms is a bit annoying.   I eat curry regularly and I must say I can't remember when I last had a curry as good as this. The taste was amazing. The restaurant has a very good reputation which probably why it was so busy. The staff could not do enough for you. The only reason I gave four stars is even though we where informed there would be a delay we had to wait quite a bit longer than I expected. Next time I will get an idea of how long I have to wait then I can decide if I want to wait.   Definitely the BEST indian place. We've been here for about 4 weeks and eaten here 3 times and headed there today for our last day. Chef comes out to talk to you about your order and ensure he prepares to your liking in terms of spice. Something we are not used to being from the United States is all the little charges. They do bring out papadum automatically which we loved but heads up, there is a charge 3 eu for 2 + a small charge for the sauces that come with it. Water bottles are small.   The service was good but the food wasn’t what we expected from an Indian restaurant. It didn’t have the real taste of India, which should be must in a place like Algarve where tourists can have a good meal and taste different countries’ food. Having experience of working at Indian restaurant, I know the taste of Chicken tikka. The chicken tikka was very sweet and it didn’t go well with paratha or naan which we had ordered. Overall the other foods that we had ordered was okay. But, I personally don’t recommend this restaurant, if you want to taste the real Indian food!!   Listen. No offence to owner and staff they are great! But the food is dead! I'm indian and I don't expect homemade mums cooking in a indian restaurant in Portugal, but it was awful! This is sub standard food with loads of colouring and a bit of seasoning. I do get it though because to Dave and Sarah from Dorset they don't know any better and to them its amazing lol.   We went to this Indian after seeing the good reviews and now know why! It was amazing! The menu was extensive in comparison to others. We had Chicken Bhuna which was very tasty. The tandoori chicken shashalik; the chicken was so tender and tasty. The Tarka Dhal was tasty also. The accompaniments of rice and roti were also lovely. Finished after with with a complimentary drink on the house (Baileys!) which was greatly appreciated. Great service also. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend visiting.   We came here for dinner as two vegetarians. We nice and crispy naans together with dhal makhani and palak paneer. The service is fast and very friendly, even at very busy times. The restaurant was packed but still good and fast service. We also drank a mango lassi which was delicious with a little special touch. The customers were many english speaking guests.   I was pretty surprised to find this amazing Indian restaurant in the algarve. I would even say that it’s one of the best Indian food I ever tried. The curry was perfectly seasoned and freshly cooked. The shrimps where on a very good cooking point, the lamb was super tender and they even made a vegetarian dish with fresh cheese for my friend.   Went there for a birthday dinner, group party. Must say mostly everything was wonderful. Staff was really helpful and kind (good sense of humor) but the language barrier sometimes made it a bit if a hassle, and somethings got mixed up, to the point that we had to wait a looooooong time for our food (about an hour), which was the biggest turn off. Besides that and having our table next to the door (which was constantly being open and it was not very pleasant) the rest was fairly fine and nice for a dinner party. Not the best I have had, not the worst I have had, it was good food and they handled our group very well despite everything, they even helped and made it really easy for us in the end with the splitting of the bill.   Possibly the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I decided to go here because of the positive reviews from other vegans. From the minute I explained to the staff I did not eat animal products they understood and told me all of the suitable vegan options they had available on the menu and that they could accommodate and make almost any meal vegan. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. Ordered vegetable pakora to start and the seasoning and texture was amazing. For the main I ordered a chana masala and it was full of flavour, the chickpeas and rice were cooked to perfection, just incredible. Compliments to the chefs. I left the restaurant feeling so full and delighted with the service provided. Highly recommend and will definitely be back if I return to Portugal in future.   We visited both Natraj and the O'Colonial several times last year and as a family were all very impressed. This year we have visited several times and have again not been disappointed. Food is authentic always hot and on point. All of the staff are helpful even to the point of cooking a separate sauce for one of our party. Even with a large party of diners service is fantastic and you are not left sitting for ages.Staff have always taken the time to talk and have a laugh with not only us but other diners as well. Would highly recommend both restaurants as owned by same owner and the food is amazing in both establishments. If you eat in the O'Colonial you can still have a curry and vica versa.   The BEST Indian in Vilamoura. The popadoms come with a selection of 3 dips all of which are full of flavour from a spicy chilli to a cool cucumber. They also do a mango chutney dip but you have to ask for this and it is at an extra cost. The curry dishes are bursting with flavour and all very well cooked. We had rice to share between 2 and naan bread to share also. Not only does the food make this Indian restaurant great but the staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help. We were offered complimentary drinks once we asked for the bill which just added to our delightful meal out. Would be happy to go back again and again!   I enjoyed a very delicious meal here. I had sheekh kebab starters followed by a chicken saag with rice main meal. All the food was delicious and very fresh. The only negatives I would point out here are the onion salad with the poppadoms could be improved greatly, a bit more salad could be offered with the sheekh kebab starter and the general decor of the place being refurbished would get this place a stars from me.   Visited for the first time since we have been in Vilamora. We sat in the adjoining restaurant as one member of our party preferred a pizza. The staff were happy for us to choose from the Indian and Italian style menu. The food was ok but definitely not the best Indian we've had. Staff were attentive and food arrived quickly. A meal for 4 came to almost 90 euros which I think was expensive for the amount and quality of food we had.   I’m not sure these reviews are reliable. The food was expensive and the quality was poor. Taste was fine if you’ve been up for 20hrs and had 1 McDonald’s. Chutney tray was definitely the worse Iv had and the pushy waiter taking our order was bordering on the offensive side.   I was disappointed by this place. I'm of Indian origin and I was looking forward to some tasty chicken based on the reviews. I ordered the murg malai kebab starters which turned out dry and honestly felt like they were microwaved so I sent them back. Next, the lamb kebab. Ordered the non-ground meat version (i.e. not the sheekh kebab) and it was just doused in a deep red sauce and served. Finally the tandoori. I was looking forward to this and it wasn't tasty, in fact had a lot of coloring added. This place is rated highly mostly cuz of the drunk old men that seem to walk in here. They discounted me like 2.5 euros when they should have taken the entire 5.5 off for the murg kebab. Scammy. If you want chicken, try the O Peri Peri restaurant in the area. If you want good Indian food, it's in Lisbon. Try the Bengal Restaurant in Anjos/Intendente (Traduzido pelo Google) Fiquei decepcionado com este lugar.   Found this hidden gem whilst on holiday in Portugal, after eating at some really over priced food at the hotel and on the marina we decided to try Natraj, the food was delicious!
