  We go there pretty often and have been happy but last time we ordered 4 Tenderloins. We waited 60min for the Tenderloin (they informed about the long wait time), and when it came out they said that they didn’t have for 4 people instead 3. My son needed to order something else and wait even longer for a new order after they already served us.. The waitress also didn’t know which one of the steaks was well done or medium so some got the wrong steak. Other than that, the food is great but we were disappointed that last time.   I went for a meal having been recommended to go by a receptionist at our holiday complex locally. I wasn't disappointed ! We had garlic bread to start with and it was one of the best I've ever had . We followed that with piri piri chicken and chips. Our group of 5 loved it so much we went back for the next 4 nights and had the same meal each time !! I can also recommend the apple pie I marked it down one star as the chicken didn't always come out with the delicious garlicky oil over it but this was rectified by another member of staff .   We ordered meal today through the food delivery service of the restaurant ("2776") Actually the food was exceptionally good. What I really did not like is the delivery person incompetence. I had to walk around 500 meters in both directions with my wife because he was nowhere near to my address. My wife sent messages to him in Portuguese language to give some instructions to find the address, but he never replied, because later he revealed he does not speak Portuguese, my wife also speaks English but she had no chance to communicate with the guy because basically he ignored everything. Recommended only for those who like to make some extra phisical exercise and play delivery "hunting" to get the order through the meal delivery service.   This is a really great restaurant. Waiters are very nice, service was extremely good. Quick service as well. I suggest that you take your time, order starter, then order main after finishing starter. It's almost fast food, but it is freshly cooked and very very good. The owner is from Maderia, and is football crackers, as are a couple of the waiters. We had piri piri chicken. Beautiful. Fries and salad also good. The skewers and steak also looked excellent. Beer was ice cold. Frequented by mainly Vilamoura residents. It is worth the walk from the Hotels around the Marina...or Über it. I would definitely recommend to everyone. It isn't a romantic venue, think of it as authentic Portuguese modern restaurant. The walk back through town via the Esplanade is nice.   Update.. Sept 23 Yet again, what a great meal, and as good as it was in February when we were last in Quarteria. Feb 23 What a fantastic find yesterday evening. Went for a walk around the back streets of the town as we usually do looking for local bars etc. Came across here and thought we'd try it out. Certainly didn't expect it to be full on a Monday night, but it was, however one of the waitresses took our name and said come back in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we were sat at a table, and what followed was a fantastic meal. I can throughly recommend the hanging skewers, succulent and so tasty 😋 The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was cooked to perfection, the atmosphere in the restaurant was brilliant (loud and vibrant) with lots of happy customers having a great time. Even though the restaurant was really busy and full, the food all arrived quickly, the toilets and restaurant were all extremely clean. And all the staff remained helpful, cheerful and friendly. Unfortunately Portuguese is not one of the languages I speak, but no matter it seemed all the staff spoke excellent English and there were English menus available.   Our kind of local place. Been around 30 years serving the local neighborhood and tourists alike. King of Barbecue is an apt name haha. From the half chicken to the steak on a garlic butter drip skewer to the beef strips to the aromatic rice to the sweet potato fries even to the salad and olives - deliciousness!   There are not many places that surprise me theses days when it comes to food but this is definitely one of them. Food served like you went to a friend's house and it tastes amazing. Everything is tasty and fresh and comes out pretty quick. The waiting staff are lovely and charming and full of advice about the menu. Highlights for me are the bolo de caco and the espetada. There were also some lovely passion fruit liquors and orange and lemon ones that we had to finish the meal with which are highly recommended. Great food, great menu, great price.   Went in there for the first time, it was quite busy but the waitress got a seat for us. Then literally she abandoned us, after 20m another waitress started attending a couple that just arrived and after 3m they got their starters, I was fuming and I shouted to this situation, this waitress was much more delicate than the first one, then the service was fast and I got my order in 5 minutes, I had a the traditional Madeira Bread and a traditional " espetada à Madeirense" the bread was really good but the Espetada was not the best I had, in Madeira ( island) I ate much better than this one, the wine was good and the desert was OK. The price was the best thing, in Algarve is not easy to find a place were to eat this much for this price. Unfortunately I only give 3 stars cause I was the only customer who was not offered the traditional "poncha" maybe because I'm not foreign but I believe my money as the same value as theirs.
