  Quite a fancy and upscale place, we went during lunch and it was quite busy - we were told it was the best restaurant in Porto so thought to give it a go. Personally not a huge fan of “stuffy” restaurants but overall still a decent lunch experience. Food wise was above average, but not entirely justified for the price. We ordered 2 sides, 2 mains for 165 Euros. Flavour of the arroz was delightful with each rice grain plump with briny flavour - the steak was advertised as 500gms but had close to 100-150 gms of fat. So not exactly great on value proposition here. We had a lovely waiter who made the experience nice though!   Went there for my birthday at the international women's day. They had a great welcome drink for all women. The restaurant is gorgeous, they have a bar and the sushi island at the center of the venue, which brings a very luxurious ambiance.   This restaurant has an incredible atmosphere with one of the best views of Porto. Ordered a bunch of small plates and the shrimp risotto. Loved most of the food, except the wagyu tacos weren’t very flavourful. The rest was amazing, I recommend ordering the burrata!   As good as the food is, as really terrible the service is. We even were not able to order a second bottle of wine, because the service ignored us. It's not the first time, we had similar experience last September. That's why this time the table was reserved by the manager of the restaurant. But even this doesn't help. When you say something, the service personnel ignores one more. I understand it, the restaurant is fully booked every day. So they don't need other guests. Especially foreigners. But then they should put a sign on the door "only for friends". It's ok. They don't need us and we don't need them. Even when it is a pitty, as we do have a lot of Business guests regularly in the Lodge Hotel close by. Fortunately Porto has to offer such a lot more good restaurants.   So there I was..... walking the streets of Porto and my feet were tired.... we stumble across the nicest restaurant with a cigar shop and wine bar. We went in to find the coziest of places. Had a Romeo & Julieta cigar and a glass of port wine. It's a great atmosphere, wonderful service and their music selection was top-notch and relaxing. It was a well spent stretch of time. 5 stars for comfort and relaxation.   Comida maravilhosa e atmosfera de cortar a respiração! O couvert estava bastante bom (ainda quente), as entradas deixaram a desejar (esperava mais, apesar das amêndoas na tempura de camarão terem sido uma agradável surpresa) e o prato principal e a sobremesa foram as verdadeiras estrelas da noite. A cremosidade do arroz e o ponto do peixe estavam incríveis. O cheesecake de red velvet estava absolutamente divinal. O petit gateaux ou bolo de aniversário não estava nada de especial, mas foi um detalhe agradável.

  Awful experience, from the moment we stepped in the restaurant till the last minute. I booked almost 1 month in advance with the requirement of having a table close to the window, when we arrived there, it was the farthest table from the window, we asked to move us to another one and the next thing the butler told us was "the kitchen will close in 5min" with a very rude attitude. Right in the end one of my friends felt sick and suddenly threw up, NONE of the waiters came to help us, NONE, after many attempts to reach them. We were lucky that the clients next to us helped us. About the Food it was tasty, but the whole experience made us forget about it, and the dessert took more than 40min to reach our table, by that time we were already digesting the previous food so it didn't really taste good.   Summarized. It's overly expensive, having prices of a michelin but without any stars.. Beef wellington and some creative dishes were about the only things you could order of quality the rest was ordinary. The wine list is just a plain out robbery to put it lightly ahaha. Definitely not worth the money. There is a nice atmosphere but the service is just horrible. I've been to a lot of high end places and also nice cozy taverns, this place fits neither.. It's trying to be that one high end place of Porto but just fails horrible yet keeps going because it attracts tourists and some gullible locals. For me the reason to write this bad review was that they forgot about the anniversary of my relationship, which is just unacceptable. Instead of genuinely apologizing or making it up, they tried to justify the error which is a big no, no in costumer service. This is not exceptional either. I've been here before and should have known better. They often have loud music on throughout the night and untrained staff which is not appropriate with these price rates. I'd advise anyone to spent the night elsewhere in any other of the hunderds of nice places in Porto. Come have a wine in my villa in foz, we'll give you a better time for free in my living room if you're a nice person ahah =P But seriously, save yourself the disappointment..   Very bad attitude at the front desk. We were told to wait for them to figure out a table for 30 mins. After 30 mins, the waitress came to tell us the table is ready but then the table become not available right after. The waitress’s supervisor was very mean and not trying to help us. “ we are fully booked for the next 3 days” was the only thing she told us. I also don’t understand why can’t we sit and dine at the bar( there were plenty of seats at the bar ? . Even Michelin 3 stars restaurants has bar dining options but not them.   The food was ok (probably more 3*) but the ambiance/atmosphere of the restaurant was definitely 5*, averaging out to a 4*! It’s possible that the Asian/sushi dishes on the menu were better - we had some toro nigiri to start, which was fabulous but then the ceviche we also shared as a starter was just ok. Similarly the steak and the octopus mains were just ok (the rest of the sushi/Asian dishes we saw at other tables definitely looked better!) The restaurant ambiance can’t be beat through - super elegant, with a great vibe (very busy even on a Monday night). Would be willing to return and maybe try out other parts of the menu! Not worth the pretty high price tag for porto standards. We also had an issue with a missing dish for one of us and it wasn't handled great.   Never go if you have children! We made a reservation for 4 adults and 2 children. On arrival, we were informed that pizzas were not available. We had chosen to go here because pizzas were in the menu. We then asked to order a plain spaghetti for the kids that they could pair with the dishes we ordered, but no, the kitchen was “unable to cook anything not in the menu”. Mind you, there was spaghetti in the menu! After some discussion, the staff informed us that there were 2 kids’ menus (which were not reflected in the menu). One of the kids had fallen asleep by then so we ordered just 1 kid’s menu for the other. Out came all the food we ordered; cold, hot all at once, but nothing for the kid. (There was sand in the clams by the way!) We had to ask a waiter before the soup came for the poor child. After the soup, the waiters cleared the table and we expected the main dish to arrive for the hungry child. Nothing. A full 30 minutes passed and we had to ask again before the main dish came. By then, the child had fallen asleep. No apologies, no explanation for the tardiness, nothing. Yes it is a nice place.   The view here and atmosphere is amazing. It sets a high standard that wasn't quite met by our food and service. Our waiter said he was new, but he had to leave our table to find answers to our questions multiple times and didn't explain the menu very well the way we would expect from a restaurant with this atmosphere. On the one hand, they provided stools for us to put our purses on which is amazing. On the other hand, their attention to our beverages was not on point; someone in our party wanted hot water, and he poured it into the regular glass water cup at the table; we had to ask for it in a tea/coffee mug and for refills. The sushi was very good (that's what I recommend here) but the other dishes were just ok. The octopus was not tender. The lobster spaghetti was a little salty. The seabass was good, but the prawn rice was hard and runny. They also didn't pace our meal at all. Two people got their sushi, then after a legitimate wait time two people got their hot plates, and then after a shorter but still present wait time finally the last person got their hot plate. I think this place has lots of potential but needs to work better on training their service and improving other dishes outside of sushi.   Absolutely love this place. First and foremost, the ambience. It’s super nicely decorated and feels very cozy even during a rainy day in Porto (which can happen quite a lot). The location, right on Cais de Gaia, is incredible. Super accessible to the harbor, winery’s and downtown Porto’s Ribeira. About the food… it is something else. Both times I have gone here I always came back satisfied and, more importantly, incredibly full. For the starters, I have tried the burrata with bull’s heart tomato and the “huevos rotos” with mushrooms, truffle and iberico ham. The huevos rotos definitely are a must try. The portion is relatively big and the taste is amazing. For the main course, I tried the tagliolini al tartufo with veal carpaccio underneath. Although I am not a fan of carpaccio, the pasta was to die for. Really really yummy. Another time, I went on a Sunday where apparently they have a plate or two specific to that day and tried traditional braised veal with potatoes for two. The dose was incredibly big and could have been for an extra person (all three eating well). So that is always a plus. Overall, although a bit pricey for your wallet, the experience, the ambience and, more importantly, the food are worth it. A must try when you go to Porto. Outra vez, fui num domingo onde aparentemente têm um ou dois pratos específicos para esse dia e experimentei a tradicional vitela refogada com batatas para dois. A dose era incrivelmente grande e poderia ter sido para uma pessoa a mais (os três comendo bem). Então isso é sempre uma vantagem. No geral, embora um pouco caro para o seu bolso, a experiência, o ambiente e, mais importante, a comida valem a pena. Imperdível quando for ao Porto.

Dress code is business casual and up, and the prices are higher than the usual Porto restaurant- although you get a superior level of food and service. Pinxos Anchovies were surprisingly good; great flavor combination despite not being what we expected.   Beautiful space and decor, however we did not experience good service and the food was ok, no wow factor on taste. It does have a cigar lounge which is why i gave an extra star (looks and cigars). We had lunch on a quiet day (around 7/8 tables), other tables had couvert and none were even offered to us.. another table next to ours were friends of the floor manager so service for them was very different. Even after our meal i had to call for service so our plates could be taken away, even though the waiters looked at us several times. We decided to just order coffee and skip desert. When the bill came they still charged for couvert, i did notify that we didnt have and neither was it offered. Just a senseless sorry was given. I did tell the server that the service given was very poor, and again a senseless sorry. The menu in my personal opinion, is all over the place, sushi, pizza, risotto, traditional portuguese… indeed something for everybody, but seems like it doesn’t know where it wants to fit in.   What an incredible place. Would be very easy to have walked past without noticing it, and would have been a huge disappointment to have done so!   What a great place to go! We just had a lovely lunch here. This is much more then a restaurant. The decoration is incredible, the service is marvelous, and the food is out of this world. You have distinct types of food here. You can choose between sushi, grilled meats, fish, delicious cheese and cold meat cuts. Our option was a fish soup and Japanese tapas. For wine we had red and white. The Red was delicious and rich, Carvalhas Touriga Nacional 2013 and the white, Quinta de Cidrô Chardonnay, very light and simply fresh. When it came to desert...   What a delight! Gorgeous views over Porto, fantastic food and incredible wine selection. Try their Salmon Izakaya and don't leave with testing their cheese platters from the on site fromagerie!   This place just opened a week ago and were brought there by a local friend. The space is beautifully decorated with views to the river and the old city of Porto. we ordered beef for our main dish which was absolutely delicious.
