  I really liked the space and atmosphere. The staff is top notch, very friendly and thoughtful. The food, don't get me wrong, is good, but compared to other vegan places I've tried, it's not so well seasoned and flavorful. For example the "roasted loin" was simply a slice of Seitan, with not so much added flavor to it. However, that was not the norm, there were great flavorful dishes, like the banana "moqueca". However, this one could also be more elaborate, because it was like a big pan of sauce with slices of banana and other vegies with a very very good indian curry. The desert with the chocolate forest was good, but also underwhelming. So, there was this imbalance of bland food, sometimes good notes and tasty things in some dishes, but to me at least, it was not a balanced always consistent great, wow, flavorful food experience.   Phenomenal innovative and very flavorful vegan fine dining experience. To start, we ordered the carrot tartare and the grilled mushrooms. The tartare was so fresh and flavorful, we couldn’t believe they had made carrots taste so delicious. It was a mix of carrots and cream sauce on top of lentils and a mushroom pate - so so good! The grilled oyster mushrooms were crispy and meaty. For main course, we ordered the tofu Wellington and the Tripas Stew. The Tripas were extremely warm comforting, served in a bean stew with a side of buttery wild rice. The Tofu Wellington was really tasty though not beef-like in anyway but nonetheless delicious.   I dined in this restaurant alone during a business trip. The restaurant is quite close to downtown, 10 minutes or less walk. The restaurant is a bit 'sacrificed, at the entrance there is the cocktail bar and continuing then you reach the dining room. The restaurant is nice, a bit dark, the wine cellar and the open kitchen.   I visited Jardineiro Kitchen on a Friday evening for a cosy dinner date. You walk through a chic designed wine and cocktail bar to reach the intimate restaurant area. Our starter were delicious green and black olives, and four different thick slices of bread including turmeric and rye, with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. For my main, I had vegan tofu beef wellington, served with mashed potatoes and salad. It was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. I chose the pistachio tiramisu as my dessert which was light and fluffy, to cap a great experience at Jardineiro Kitchen.   Espaço bem decorado e com bom ambiente. No site não mencionam que o menu almoço é só à quartas, quintas, sextas e sábados, portanto fiquei surpreso quando me disseram que não faziam o menu. Em termos de comida, provei o Wellington de tofu (bastante bom, com ligeiro fumado) e o lombo assado (bastante desiludido pelo facto de ser um bloco de seitan de supermercado com molho. Acompanhamentos eram muito bons).

  Went to this elegant vegan restaurant in Nov 2023 and the food and service were both excellent. The server was incredibly kind, described dishes, and even helped me with my Portuguese! My partner and I started with the couvert (breads made with various vegetables, some olives, and mushroom purée). The breads were delicious and the purée was very nice. We then had the beet carpaccio which was beautiful and equally as delicious! Probably my favourite thing we got. Then I had the Tofu Wellington and she had the Loin. Both were tasty in their own right, though I think the Wellington was more of a winner for us. The Loin texture was a little too reminiscent of meat, so we were a little thrown off by that. We also tried a couple white wines (Guyon and…something.). Both were recommended by the server and excellent choices! For dessert, we tried the chocolate garden and apple crumble. Both were very tasty. I probably enjoyed the garden more than the crumble since it was chocolate and the mousse was great with the tangy pearls on top as well. Still, the cinnamon ice cream with the apple crumble was wonderful, too. Any vegans looking for a more romantic and elegant atmosphere, look no further.   Classy dinner here at a lovely restaurant in Porto Service is 10/10, really accommodating. The atmostphere is absolutely perfect, beautiful little place. You can reserve a table on Google which is cool, more expensive than other restaurants but it is classy. Food was delicious.   Couldn’t fault the restaurant at all. Customer service was top. The food was amazing. I always come back to Portugal every year as my wife is Portuguese and this will be on my repeat visits for future trips. My baby made friends with the chef and staff which says a lot about their character as she is typically quite picky who she goes to.   Amazing food! I had the Tripas à moda do Porto as a main dish which is a traditional dish in Porto. I have been vegan for a few years so it was amazing to eat a dish that tasted the same as the real thing! Everything was delicious from starters to mains to desert. We will definitely be back! Bonus: the chef and staff were really sweet with our little one!   A must visit for Porto, regardless of whether or not you're vegan (you should be if you aren't). Best meal I've had thus far in Portugal (including places in Lisbon).   beautiful atmosphere. i don’t eat vegan food often but this was amazing. my friend and i walked a lot to get to Jardineiro without a reservation and we were seated quickly. our waiter Giuseppe was wonderful. he provided recommendations, was very sweet in checking in on us and refilling our water. the appetizer i had was the Gaspacho Granizado, areia salgada, chicória e mousseline de tomate assado (Gazpacho granita, salty sand, chicorée and roasted tomato mousseline) 5/5. i recommended this dish to a friend who was visiting porto soon because it was that good! the tomato was so flavorful. my main dish was the Linguini com pesto de espinafres, queijo feta e salicórnia (Linguini with spinach pesto, feta cheese and salicornia) soooo good! i couldn’t finish it all because the serving was large but the spinach pesto on the linguini was very tasty. to finish i had a coconut crème brûlée.   Too expensive for that level of dishes. Food is...yes they are vegetarian. But that is as far as it goes. Nothing tastes 'good' here. Soba noodles swimming in tasteless soup costs a 20 euros is absolutely a rip-off to me. I feel sorry for other restaurants who try to make vegetarian/vegan dishes great. I am from vegetarian cooking country and surely restaurants costing us so much can do better. Totally touristy place so maybe it is ok. I cannot say more. Staff are nice, but that is common in Porto.   Forget that this is a “vegan” restaurant, it’s just an amazing restaurant, period. The staff is incredible and the food is off the charts in quality.   The food was amazing. Definitely don’t skip on the starters (we had the onion soup and beetroot carpaccio which were just perfect), nor on the desserts. Staff are really attentive, service is fast, and portions are big for a fine dining restaurant. The staff is professional, yet engaging and kind and sympathetic. Regarding the food: after eight years of vegetarianism and then veganism, this is a meal I won‘t forget. The Wellington is incredible - if I had to eat the same thing for the rest of my life, this would be it.   Amazing food, beautiful decoration, the staff is very nice and helpful. Fully vegan, the dishes are mixing flavors in delicious, surprising ways, each dish is a celebration. Must be one of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been to. The menu is nicely curated, the plates are creative and delicious, a must go to restaurant for vegans and non-vegans alike!   My mother and I visited this restaurant last night and were so impressed with both the food, and the service. We found the listing on HappyCow, and showed up around 5:30pm. They let us know they actually were not serving dinner until 7pm, but kindly offered to get us some drinks and snacks and put us down for a reservation at 7pm. My mother had a cafe latte, and I had a Negroni. Both were great. We also ordered some potato chips with a delicious dip. For dinner, I had the tofu Wellington, and my mother had the soba noodle bowl with chik’n. For dessert we shared the lemon caneloni. We agreed it was one of the best meals we’ve had, certainly since arriving in Portugal. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with the manager immensely. She told us that they also have a boutique hotel attached to the restaurant. Being vegan, we will be certain to book the hotel next time. She mentioned they have an all vegan breakfast spread in the mornings for guests (though there are eggs and milk products available upon request). The restaurant and bar space were beautifully decorated, luxurious, but quite comfortable. It truly feels that every thing was carefully planned, from the menu and food, down to the choice of cushions in the chairs. It’s a must for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone who is in the mood for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. O restaurante e o espaço do bar eram lindamente decorados, luxuosos, mas bastante confortáveis.   A really interesting, upmarket place serving great cocktails and tasty food. Prices, however, are a fair bit higher than elsewhere in Porto, which is a little frustrating when I would generally expect vegetarian food to be cheaper than meat or seafood. I was also a little disappointed with portion sizes - the linguine and meatballs came with only four meatballs which seemed really stingy for €19. Plus, the couvert, which for four people was a small basket of bread and about 8 olives, was charged per-guest and came to €16 - very cheeky and we wished we'd declined it! Staff were very friendly, very courteous and the atmosphere of the place was really nice, but it was just priced a little higher than I'd have hoped.   So we just found that restaurant on Google and thought It looks amazing but only had like 15 Reviews. Let's check it out. When we entered we directly felt , that this restaurant is a special place. We were welcomed very heartly by the restaurant manager and he told us they just opened a week before.. after that we got to know the manager Dina which is a amazingly friendly and open person.. i love the fact that the kitchen is open so you also have contact to the chefs. all of the staff gave us the feeling that they wanted us to have a very special experience. And we had ! The food was amazing!!! It was by far the best vegan restaurant I've been in my life! Definitely come back very very soon and I hope a lot of vegans will visit this restaurant, otherwise you miss out !!   A nossa experiência no jardineiro foi óptima. Iniciamos com refrescantes e deliciosos cocktails de autor no bonito bar, por onde se faz a entrada neste espaço. No percurso até à sala de jantar passamos por um lounge descontraído e confortável que convida ao convívio. A ementa é vegan e as propostas são variadas e criativas. Recomendo todos os pratos que pedimos, pois estavam saborosos e com uma apresentação fantástica. A sopa de cebola e o tártaro de cenoura nas entradas e o risotto de açafrão e dhal de lentilhas para pratos principais todos estavam excelentes. Para sobremesas pedimos o caneloni de limão e o Jardim de chocolate duas opções com sabores distintos, mas ambas com aromas intensos de fruta fresca. Uma carta de vinhos é de qualidade e bem organizada quanto ao toque de madeira. A jovem equipa de colaboradores foi simpática e atenciosa, combinando com um ambiente acolhedor do espaço e a requintada gastronomia. Aconselho a todos os apreciadores de cozinha de autor uma visita a este restaurante vegetariano que recentemente abriu as suas portas no centro do Porto 🤩
