  Lovely setting with great views, staff friendly and good service. A little on the expensive side, especially as the food was a bit underwhelming. We had the deep-fried cod with tomato sauce for 2 to share. The fish was just ok, but the tomato sauce contained rice and was very bland, with no real taste of fresh tomato whatsoever.   The restaurant is located in a very beautiful place in front of the sea and the environment inside the restaurant is cool as well. There are 2 different restaurants open at the same time, it's important to remember it because the one upstairs that is the coziest one closes at 22. It is not written anywhere, apparently. We booked a table for 20.30 and at 20.45 we were ready to order but the waiter told us that some dishes were not available anymore because of the closing time. We felt the rush of the catering people to speed up our dinner as they had to close at 22. The food is ok but came so quickly giving us the idea that was not cooked in that moment.   Never a good sign when the waiters look annoyed when you call them over. Can't really say anything good about the service experience. Absolutly regular food, almost no vegetarian options or local specialities. Pseudo international poorly cooked dishes at overblown prices. Stunning sea views.   We went there to have lunch. The staff was super nice and we had the best view on the ocean and really enjoyed out time. Drinks are a bit pricy but worth it.   Too loud and too bad music 😒 Listen to me, restaurant: you don't need the "DJ", you need to play any random "lofi hiphop" or "chillhop" playlist from YouTube and that's it. Everybody will be happy and will like that. You're not a club, you're restaurant on the ocean's beach! People come there to relax and enjoy the ocean, not for your pumping awful music. We ordered beverages and told the waiter that we wanted to order the dishes in half an hour; but he came back and interrupted our conversations to ask if we where ready to order every ten minutes. By the third time he sent another waiter to ask us if we where ready, and that new waiter was really awkward when talking to us. Then we realized that all of the waiters where super weird and unprofessional. The first two were very delicious, but the salad tasted like something from a gas station - instead of romano lettuce, they put iceberg lettuce; the croutons were stale and everything was drenched in a store bought dressing.   The food was pretty disappointing and expensive for what we had. I chose a ‘special’ hot dog which was very peculiar and can’t be recommended as I could only eat half. My wife had a salad which cost €13 and consisted almost entirely of lettuce with a few bits of other vegetables. The soup was ok but bread is charged on top. All in all €35 for a lunch where we had to go and eat again afterwards. The view is stunning, best to have a beer, enjoy the view and eat elsewhere!!   Go early and grab a non-reservation seat on the deck basically at sand/water level. We got there at 12:15 on a Thursday and got one of the last really good seats. Lots of good second tier seating as well. If you make reservations you will be in the main restaurant which has a good view, but is farther back.   This is an amazing restaurant facing the Atlantic Ocean so you can see the waves crashing on the rocks. It is beautiful at sunset. A year ago we came and loved the sunset but we were not impressed with the food. This time due to rain the view was not great but the food was fantastic. It is obvious that the restaurant has changed chefs and the menu and we loved it. We had the pasta with asparagus and the black pork. It was amazing. We had a Fogate Reserva branco wine that was outstanding. We loved our visit and so glad the chefs have changed.   The place is gorgeous, and have a great sunset view. Food is very tasty, but not cheap. Service was also very good, even though we were in a huge group. I recommend the place, we had a good time. The only thing that I did not like, is that they leave some bread with little sauces on the table, without you asking, and charge 4 Euro per person, independent if you ate or not.   Honestly I can say that we had the worst server I've ever encountered. His name was Tiago Neves. We sat for 16 minutes before he even stopped by with menus. 13 minutes after that he came back and asked what we wanted to eat. 30 minutes at the restaurant and we had no water or drink order. We had to go get him to order other things and to get our check to pay. He seemed like he wanted nothing to do with working. The food was good though, and the view was lovely.   The Spot & View of the Restaurant is excellent. We were here for Diner. The ambiente inside is great. Music was a vibe. You get a couvert and olives without asking which you have to pay for (4€pp) (entrance fee?) The vegan bowl price-performance was absolutely horrible. Cold & bland 3 pieces of eggplant, salad wasnt marinated at all, felt like they put the Vinaigrette in the bowl first and threw some leaves on it. Ceasar was good, nothing special. Wine was nice, Service was pretty good, they had alot of runners who all want to get payed so maybe the price of 14€ for an aperol spritz is hereby justified. (you have to consider the view) Would come again for the view and the wine, not for the food. Perhaps, if, next time ill get the Club Sandwich outside, you cant do much wrong here. 2 glasses of wine, guacamole with a handful tortillas, ceasar salad, vegan bowl and couvert 60€. The place is located by the beach with beautiful ocean front view. The music could be a little too loud especially in the morning. One of the server, Thiago, is very nice. He always greets me when he’s around and very helpful. I usually had a decent experience in this place. I was raving about the scones to my friends. Until today. I’m not sure what’s going on in the kitchen, possible a new chef or the chef had a bad morning. They sent us a burnt scones. I asked the server, and they insisted it’s usually like this. Thankfully I always took pictures of my food, and showed them what they looked like in the past. I don’t normally send food back, but I had to this morning. The chef still insisted if supposed to look like that, until I showed them pictures of what the scones looked like in the past. They remade the scones for us, and I was temporarily happy. The second time they sent the scones, it looked right, but it was so undercooked inside, almost raw. I’m not sure if the chef was being passive aggressive or just incompetent. After arguing with the staff and chef (and showing them photos of scones from our previous visits), they remade. But the second time they still were completely raw inside.   We had lunch here after stumbling on the bar downstairs the afternoon before. The upstairs restaurant benefits from a fantastic view, and the setup, decor and vibe were all perfect for a lazy lunch.   I honestly have to say this was the worst experience i had in a restaurant ever! We were treated like sh.. just because we didn’t look like the usual targeted audience. We had to wait for our starters for 1.5h and they were decent. For the main dish we waited another 30 min! The food was cold overcooked, the Steak tasted like fish. The service was the worst i’ve ever seen it took them 40 min to take away the dishes from the starters, they didn’t refill our wine glasses and thought it would be nicer to talk to there colleges in the meantime. And on top the empty wineglasses smelled like a old dog. Do me a favour and don’t go to the place. Thanks!   If I could give it zero starts I would. They are luckily situated and convenient but the service is the worst customer service one can imagine. They refuse to accomodate allergies so if you have any avoid eating there at all costs. I told them i had a dairy allergy and they brought me a steak sandwich with cheese. When i asked for it to be removed they scraped the cheese off. Second time around they made a better job of scraping the cheese instead of making me a new steak. I spent the afternoon throwing up and 2 days recovering. Luckily its not an anaphylactic case but I guess that’s only a matter of time before it happens to someone else. They make sandwiches in advance on busy weekends and refuse to accommodate ingredient changes like a simple: no mayo please - even when its at the request of children. Nice cafe, but the food is completely average and at a premium price. And considering they have little respect for their clients its really a pity. Really terrible customer service. So we anticipated the flavours to be really good, but were a little disappointed that it didn't have more tastes involved. The menu were largely sharing menus with minimal vegetarian options. Music was really good for background and the sunset can't be beaten so that makes up for it. Just was lacking on food for a five out of five stars.   The restaurant is located directly on the beach just outside the center of Porto. We were first in the upper restaurant at noon. It is very nicely decorated and you have a great view. The food was very different. The Cesar salad with prawns is an absolute recommendation. The gnocci and pasta, on the other hand, are absolutely not recommended. The gnoccis were undercooked. With pasta and gnocci, the sauces/pesto tasted like a ready-made meal. In addition, everything upstairs is very expensive and the service rather annoyed than friendly. Waited 40 minutes for our order to be taken (after asking the staff 3+ times) We had orange juice and pineapple juice which were watered down. My partner had steak and mushroom sauce which all arrived cold. My meal arrived 10 minutes after he had finished eating his and it was luke warm and average at best. The cod was so salty it was barely edible and the Caesar salad was bland and tasteless. Also, the view would be a lot nicer if they cleaned the windows of the restaurant which are covered in salt. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating both inside and out. The staff who seated us and served our table were friendly and professional. The food was very good (see pictures). I had a classic octopus stew with beans, carrots, chorizo, and cilantro. My wife had a pesto penne pasta with asparagus dish (no picture). I highly recommend this restaurant. My only reservation is the cost. However, the food was very good. And honestly, my dish was really for two people. So, the cost was based on three people, when two of dined. But, that was on me. Having said that, I recommend this restaurant and would eat there again.   Great location and good food. Had a wonderful experience at the restaurant Praia da Luz. Ordered 4-5 entrees to share among four people - the ceviche was amazing, and the cheese platter was a very generous portion. For the wine, we asked for suggestions and we had a bottle really worth the 30 euro we paid for. Unfortunately they run out of some desserts options - suggestion is to avoid the sorbets, they were nothing special. The service was quite attentive and quick. I would love to come back during the warm season for a lunch or aperitivo in the evening - the tables by the waterfront looked amazing.   This is place has amazing location directly on the beach. There are places for the group of people, great to watch sunset. Food wise you can definitely find something better in Porto, but it was not bad, just in a middle.   Location, location, location. You’ll want to visit this restaurant for the views. Their food took a long time to arrive, and yet, was delicious in flavour, and simple. Their choice of wine is great. The service here though, whilst friendly, was one of the reason for the 3 stars. We went on a Friday night, 8pm booking, the restaurant was busy. Simple things like water for the table or our aperitifs took a long time because they were forgotten by our waitress. I can imagine it being a fabulous place for a long lunch… when you aren’t too hungry and have all the time to sit and watch the sea. To get a seat, stand nearby and wait for a table to become free and then go to it directly, don't wait to be seated.   Great view over the ocean next to the beach! The terrace comes with a lovely atmosphere since the beach / ocean is directly next to it. Good summer vibes and music with a DJ playing. Drinks are good though a little bit expensive but that's for the view. Can't give any recommendations on the food since we were there for drinks and didn't eat nothing but some olives.   Lovely restaurant. Even if the weather wasn't very nice we still had a good time. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and clean.   Pretty good food. Atmosphere was incredibly loud so it made conversation with my partner very difficult. Ordered a steak and the pork loin. Wasn’t over the top incredible but also wasn’t bad. And the location of this restaurant is somehow exotic...right there at the shores of the Atlantic ocean! The service was decently quick and the personnel were indeed friendly..   This is one of my favorite places to be. I only had two dishes here. The burger on the plate (not so good) and the salmon polar beer sandwich was ok. The service is usually very slow also, but my god I love the view! ———- Visit this place again now on the top restaurant area, the price is a bit insane, and the food is not that awesome. The meat was over the point we asked, the coffees were wrong and the greens were extremely greasy.   One of my favorite places in Porto. Right at the beach. Good style, direct view to the sea, if you are lucky there are some surfers catching waves. The food is yummy.   Disgusting coffee. Like really. I didn't continue drinking after first sip. Tasted like from the vending machine. Service was provided by students we guess and it was very difficult to get anything. Even when we pressed the button for service/bill and saw, that it was indicated at the bar, no one came and guys continued chatting. But :-).
